Spot-on review. You touched on all the key points. I still have a 2013 Mac Air as well as a 2017 Mac Air. Both are in great condition and never abused. Recently I replaced battery (cell was going bad) and upgraded the SSD from 128 -> 256 GB in the 2013. After 10 years gave it extended life. I would say so, pair it up with an external monitor and you should be good to go (as long as you don’t plan on doing any PCB design, not all of the CADs are compatible with macOS).
I put my hands on a '17 Air for 455USD on Marketplace. The battery cycles was below 50! Best deal I made in my whole life. Mac is mint, with all accessories and I could probably flip it for 500-550USD at the moment.

New Air is 950€ // used pro 2017 750€ // both are 256gb // I need it for basic work but also for photo editing and potential video editing. Thank you in advance!
The i5 on the Pro is going to be faster than the i5 on the Air! The keyboard might be a bit of an issue but it’s not the end of the world ( I have a 2016 Pro and I’ve gotten used to it).
TheFabytm yeah, agree, especially because air 2020 i have proposal for is i3 :p you think keyboard will be problem in which sense? Think it can get stuck and stop working? i heard apple is giving 4 years warranty on it from the moment of purchase, right?
You’re right, Apple does give a 4 year warranty! Keys don’t get stuck, but it happened to me that pressing a key would type it twice (happened with the B key).
I have been having my MBA 2017 for over 6 months now. Love it so much! I was a Windows guy since 1992 and had been putting up with their crap since Windows 3.11, until they finally broke me with Windows 10. It's the ONLY version of Windows with the ability to force me to jump the fence and leave microsoft for good. Heck, I don't even use MsOffice anymore, replace it with Onlyoffice and Pages. I chose MBA 2017 for the price and connectivity. I persuaded my wife to get the MBP 2019. The OS is stable, light, everything is running smoothly, all the apps we needs are catered beautifully, and most importantly: NO FUCKING UNSTOPPABLE DESTRUCTIVE UPDATES!
Haha, I feel your pain with windows 10 updates. I still have to use windows for work and the amount of times a windows 10 update broke something is infuriatingly high.
TheFabytm Yeah, I couldn’t stand it anymore. I used Linux Mint for about a year before jumping to apple. I loved Linux Mint, and still do, but Mac is much better in terms of driver supports. I fucking hate Microsoft with a passion now. Ugh!
@@TheFabytm this is why I’m making the switch. Update jacked my HP up! So about a month ago I had used it on Friday night when I was done I went ahead and approved the update and shut down process. The next MORNING I tried to use it and it was insanely slow. Like I couldn’t do anything simple in a timely manner even compared to my old ass work desktop. So naturally did some troubleshooting then decided to do a previous restore point…no more computer. Yeah, that’s how it happened and it’s only 2 year old!! It is the 2nd time I’ve had major issues. Last time I had to have parts replaced but under the warranty, and extended my warranty when that happened. Sent it off again because it won’t even turn on NOTHING worked. When HP finished and I asked them what they found they told me the computer is being sent back to me and there’s nothing they can do. I have NEVER seen this happen! That was my final straw…MacBook here I come!
Hi, I’ve been watching this video for several times. I love your video, it’s very informative. Thank you. And I just bought macbook air 2017. Thanks to you! Can I use an external graphic card on my macbook air 2017?
2017 MBAs do have Thunderbolt 2, so technically it should work (even if not as fast as with a Thunderbolt 3 port). It's just not supported officially though, so you'd have to figure out how to get it to work.
My first video on your channel and it was awesome! I'm looking at a MacBook Air as a secondary laptop to my 17" Chromebook. One of the reasons I'm looking at this laptop is for iOS development so thank you for covering it!
I'm planning on buying this macbook air pretty soon. I although wanted to ask, after a while of usage does it still run graphics programs like adobe photoshop, illustrator etcetra smoothly? Also, does it support video editing?
@Arushi Rautela @cynthia the laptop can handle the tasks that you mentioned, though it does run a bit hot and will throttle a bit, so this needs to be kept in mind! Also, it does support video editing!
I have this MacBook Air which I bought in February this year because I needed it for school because I had some sort of online science class thing and I did physics as one of the University subjects they were giving to us (I’m in year 9 btw), and I also needed it because next year I will probably start doing a couple or a few VCE subjects which I need a laptop for.
I was debating on the 2017 13’ Pro or just a 2015 baseline, because of the BUTTERFLY KEYBOARDS. Should I be worried about the keyboard messing up insanely bad on a 2017?
If you intend on using the internal keyboard a lot, go for something that doesn’t have the butterfly switch keyboards. I have a 2016 15 inch MBP and at first, the “B” key would double-press, now the space key does it sometimes. It’s pretty bad, but I use it docked most of the time so I don’t use its keyboard a lot. Also, the 2017 Air in this video doesn’t have the butterfly keyboard.
TheFabytm dang. my problem is, i don’t wanna spend more than $650-700 as a 16 year old. but i want one new enough to run the incoming BigSur update. i can’t find any of the newer models w/o butterfly keyboard being resold :(
Thanks a ton dude for this short and insightful video, you certainly have influenced my buying decisions. And I guess as a student this laptop will be the best in the market right now for a student like me. Keep making videos like this your videos will definitely help a lot Of people in their buying decisions 💯❣️
Thanks for the awesome video. Just curious to know if this laptop is suitable for video editing? I'm aware that 4k video edition can't be done with this machine. But wanted to know if videos in 1080-60fps videos can be edited.
Glad you enjoyed the video! 1080p60FPS will work, I’d bet even 4k60 can be done but it would probably take long to render and export! Also, go with Final Cut Pro for the best performance on this machine!
Hey, my dad is searching for a new laptop and he mostly uses computers for mailing, typing, MS Office and entertainment. Now I know that this laptop is good enough for most of 'em but *is its display/screen good enough to watch movies and stuff?* cuz I heard that it has a very old display...?
The display isn’t great, but it depends what your father expects from it. It’ll do the job, but for movies, it might be a bit too small, I’d recommend connecting it to an external monitor to be able to enjoy the movie properly.
Hi, I need your advice. I just got the MacBook Pro 2020 (base model) but had to return it as it was faulty. I really love the 2017 Air’s design. I’m considering the MacBook Air 2017 i7 512GB for £1079 from the refurbished store (inc. vat). I am considering it for UA-cam watching, web browsing, word processing, portability, and apps from Mac App Store (e.g quiz games). Is it worth it for me or should I buy another base pro?
Hi, the 2017 is great, but at that price, I just don't think it's worth it. Either look for a cheaper one(I have refurbished units from Amazon linked in the description) or go for the 2020 model.
Hi! I wonder if you'd mind helping me with a question. I don't do any gaming on my laptop. Currently I have an older Lenovo (8 years old?) And it's time to upgrade for sure... I use Zoom quite a bit, and I have been using my laptop more, and a friend of mine told me I'm definitely at the end of my rope with my current laptop. If I'm an Android user by phone and I've only used a Mac a few times is this going to be difficult to switch to a Mac? Outside of comfort level and some experiences, Am I going to have any issues with any applications?
The 2015 MacBook Pro should be slightly faster and it does have a better screen. If you value the battery life and portability of the Air though, the Pro can’t compete!
guapo papi faby.. keep on uploading great contents! ❤️ ps. i bought my macbook air 2017 last 2018 and still i had no problem with it except the screen quality
Absolutely not, don’t worry! It does get loud but that’s normal, the fan is doing its job! Also, the laptop can slow the CPU down if it gets too hot or turn off the laptop if the temperature gets too hot (haven’t heard this happening with macs).
I play Minecraft on mine (it's the 2015 version). I would just suggest you be careful because prolonged exposure to heat will eventually ruin the CPU, it concerns me the fact that MacBooks don't have good fans and they're not efficient on cooling themselves. Your CPU might thermo-throttle to prevent itself from damage but (if it happens which happens a lot with MacBooks, especially newer models) that would already be too late
My 2020 mba had some display issue so I sold it the other day and ordered a 2017 mba . Before 2020 I was using 2015 mba for a while . So am qualified to say I really don't like the keyboard in new mbas because travel distance is really important for someone types a lot like me . But the biggest issue I had with the 2020 version is I hate it started automatically whenever I lifted the lid. I didn't clean my keyboard for a year becoz of this and I don't understand why Apple did this . I use mba basically for writing and learning, so I don't need powerful chips like M1.
Hey man! Saw a couple of ur vids and I loved them Btw...what used macbook would u recommend for around 700 dollars ,that looks like a modern ,sleek , slim Macbook, that has 16gb ram ? Thanks in advance
If u hook up to external monitor all the time wont the life of laptop will get less ? As in use of graphic card will be extensive affecting it ? Also the battery ?
You should still discharge the laptop to about 20-30% from time to time. You don’t have to worry about the graphics card, just make sure to periodically (once every week - 2 weeks) discharge the battery as I mentioned above!
Yes, it should last you through college! You will need something more powerful after college if you want to do those things professionally (but most of the time, the employer will provide you with the needed tools).
I just bought my 1st apple computer in my life...13 inch macbook air 2017 from a local shop near me, even though I think I overpaid a little $866.99 (after including taxes) 8gb ram 2.2ghz i7 processor 256 SSD Also studying web development. Thank you for this video!
@@TheFabytm it's a lot like Linux but without the clunkiness that Linux has. Definitely one of the nicest laptops I've had. Today I was able to set everything up and now can just work.
Thank you so much this is exactly what I was trying to find out I just need a mobile version of Mac OS so when I need to take my iPad Pro and my iPhone and do certain things especially as a musician thank you so much you answered all of my questions and as a photographer
Yes, but it depends on what your workflow will look like. If you want to do it professionally, go with a Pro (not even a 2020 Air will be much better than this 2017 model)!
I really liked apple logo in 2017 and at the same time it is 3 years old . I see the web cam is good in 2017 than 2020 any idea ? I am confused to go with 2020 i3 or 2027 i5 my usage is just MS office and surfing. Also I love watching movies . Display bad in 2017 ? Please advise
Hi! Thanks for the review. In my country, there's just a slight difference between 2017 i5 vs 2020 i3 1.1 thanks to education discounts. Of course I'd prefer to have bigger screen, usb ports and glowing logo but what about the speed and multitasking (just basic browsing and office tasking)??It's really uncommon to compare these two models yet as I already mentioned, there's no such a difference right now here in Turkey so I'm really confused.
The 2020 will be faster, but with the Air in general is not meant for sustained loads. Just quick bursts which will be enough for opening apps, a quick export and stuff like this. The Air 2017 is still adequately fast but I have no doubt that the 2020 model is faster.
What are you studying? If you’re an engineering student, I’d recommend the MacBook as it can run specialized, computer-only software, otherwise, the iPad Pro for note taking!
🙏🏻 I NEED YOUR OPINION 🙏🏻 Pro 256GB 2020 for 1400€ or this one - Air 128GB 2017 for 760€ // i know its a lot of difference obviously but i need it for work. Im not student, im 28 years old digital marketing manager so I need it firstly for that work, doing social media for clients, creating content, editing of photos in Lightroom, Photoshop, some base of video editing maybe too... do you think this air can handle it? I read two opinions, someone who say they are even editing on it and it works great and other who say “its only made for browsing” so please, tell me, what would you decide on my place? Hope to get your answer soon because I need to decide till Monday 😰
You say you are going to be doing this professionally, so the Pro is the clear choice in my opinion. It’s not like the Air cannot handle what you mentioned right now, but it won’t be as snappy as a Pro in Photoshop or while editing videos.
TheFabytm yeah but i don’t need it for professional video making editing etc... i explain what would i do on it, here and there some photo editing too.. honestly price for pro is double, so i think air is a better deal. Some of my colleagues use ps, illustrator, premier etc. on it and it works good for them! Do you think 760€ is a good deal for him? Im from europe, Here prices are generally high . But its completely new one
Then I think the Air will serve you well! At first I avoided suggesting it thinking you will be doing this professionally (many layers etc). I am from Europe too, that price is quite good for the 2017 Air!
TheFabytm Thank you🙏🏻 last question, would you rather get brand new air 2017 for 815€ or opened air 2019 with retina and touch id (used bit only 23 cycles) for 800€ which warranty is only till end of august this year?:)
I’d get the 2019 one, but only if you are ok with its keyboard (keys don’t push too far and it sounds a bit loud). They changed the keyboard on the new 2020 models.
Hello, i have been thinking about getting this but i’m not sure since it’s pretty pricey. Soon i will start studying IT Systems & Devices and need a laptop to work with. I’ve had a couple windows laptops but my experience with them has been disappointing. I want something i can actually rely on for the 2 years i need to graduate and even after that when i continue to study this further. Would you recommend this laptop or would i be better of buying a cheaper Windows laptop again?
Considering your experience with windows laptops (I’ve had similar disappointments) I’d suggest getting the Air. As long as you can live with the screen and 13” is enough for you, go for it!
TheFabytm yeah the screen size doesn’t really bother me. I just want something good and fast to do some coding and just do everything you do at school. It’s also very light wich makes is perfect for me. I have to travel by train for an hour to reach my college.
Ok, I'm a teacher and just literally just want it to use Office and internet, and I use USB ports a lot. 2017 is the best option, right? Also, can I use the adapter for projector of my Macbook pro 2011 on this one?
That does seem like the right choice given your use case. What adapter do you have for the projector? Is it HDMI-VGA? If it’s that one, it won’t work, if it’s DisplayPort-VGA, it will!
@@TheFabytm Thank you so much! Luckily (and not so luckily), our projectors are so old fashion that use both haha so my adapter is VGA, so yaaay! I can recycle my adapter! haha Thank you very much! You are super kind
I recommend loading windows on it through boot camp I’ve heard that when macs run Windows they are much better at gaming as MAC os is is not quite optimized for gaming
I’m considering purchasing I want this for my senior year and into my college years! But can it handle sims cc and mods or is that a bit to much. It’s not super important but it would be fun to be able to play
hi, i'm about to be a college student this year (pre med course) can this support my every day tasks since it's online classes for now? i'm about to get this because macbook air 2020 isn't available in our country yet. hope you respond, thank you in advance! :)
can we do mediocre video editing? and for free? and, in case I need extra storage, should I use the monthly paying iCloud storage or buy separate external hard disk? which will you prefer?
Yes, iMovie is free as far as I know. It’s not as advanced as FCP X but it should be enough. I’d recommend getting an external SSD, you can go the iCloud route but you will be tied to an internet connection and it won’t be as fast.
Is this laptop good for coding like c#,java nd python or android development learning??plzz hlp me I'm student should I buy ds laptop for learning or not??
I use both windows and Mac everyday. I use Windows because I have to, it’s what my work provides, I use Mac at home for everything because I like it better. I still have GPU driver issues on my Windows laptop because it has 2 GPUs (one integrated, one dedicated) and I need to reinstall the driver daily. My personal advice would be to buy a Mac!
Here in Pakistan i am getting a used one from a shop for about 400USD is it worth it? i already own a windows 10 gen laptop just wanted to integrate into the Mac eco system Is it worth the price I am getting it for?
Hello I have a big question... In November, I plan to buy the iPad Pro 12,9 inch with the magic keyboard. At the moment, I am renting a MacBook Pro 2018 13 inch and in October I have to return it but I really want to play the Sims 4 and not buy another Apple's product (because you know it is really expensive) so I thought I could buy a MacBook Air 2017 and my question is: can I play the Sims 4 on it? I mean I don't edit videos or anything else, because I will have my iPad to work. Maybe I'm going to watch Netflix on it but that's it... Thank you, I hope you'll be able to give me an answer. AND I AM SORRY FOR THE MISTAKES I'M FROM FRANCE SO MY ENGLISH IS NOT PERFECT
I am planning to buy this laptop. My only question is how long will it continue to receive new OS from Apple. I have read that Apple doesn't provide longer support for Macs and once support is withdrawn you can't run any apps as they won't be compatible with old OS. I am looking for this laptop to last me atleast 5-6 years. Should I buy it?
Only Apple truly knows how long they will still support it, but we can make an educated guess. Apple’s latest OS (Big Sur, still in beta) will run on any MacBook Air which came out in 2013 or later. Therefore, the 2017 model should receive updates until ~2024. Also, the second point isn’t really true, you can still run software on older OS versions, you can download any piece of software from the web and run it (it may be necessary to get an older version for some apps, but they’ll run). I think this is pretty good support.
Hi there, do you answer tech problems? I cannot get rid of ghost-like colors/pictures and images. One cannot make out and features andcolors are distorted. I want to use a plain, basic (boring) original colors for videos, etc.
Im considering buying an new laptop for university. Im stuck between the the 2017 macbook air and the 2020 macbook air. I know that the new macbook has an i3 10th gen processor, where the 2017 is a i5 5th gen. Im worried about the macOS becoming outdated on the 2017 model and it not being supported anymore. Aswell as the Intel generations... I would want to use Office 365, youtube, netflix and web browsing. I haven't been able to get a good review from a students perspective so Im not sure which model to get. I don't mind spending the extra money if it will last in the long run. Thanks :)
The 2020 will last longer, but I believe the 2017 is still quite good nowadays. The laptop you see in the video is used more heavily than what you described and it has no problem keeping up. In the end, if you want to future proof your purchase or want the retina screen, go with the 2020. Otherwise, the 2017 will still serve you well for at least 3 years.
I don’t have any experience with this software but by looking online, I was able to find that it does run on Macs and that this Mac does fulfill all the system requirements.
It depends on what you will be doing on the laptop, but if the answer is essays, watching UA-cam/Netflix and browsing the web, it’ll be plenty fast for these tasks!
Yes, light video/photo editing will be fine! As far as the mic and camera go, the mic sounds good and the camera is 720p, looks just fine in zoom meetings!
Hey TheFabytm , could you please tell me the cost of this laptop and please tell if it would be perfect and nice for moderate study work, could you plz?
Nice one! How well is it capable of handling light graphic intensive tasks like image processing and video editing? And is it reliable considering that it is three years old?
It can handle those tasks, though I wouldn’t recommend it over a MBP for these tasks. I wouldn’t consider reliability to be a concern, the battery still lasts long enough, it’s still fast enough for most tasks.
The Air 2017 will be enough for those tasks, it just depends on the screen you want. If you want a high resolution Retina display, go for the 2020 model, otherwise 2017.
If you want to take digital notes during class, go with the iPad Pro, it’ll be a much better experience with the pen. Otherwise, the MacBook would probably be better as it is a full fledged computer.
Could you try going opening the About Mac menu from the Apple logo and going to the storage tab? That would tell you more about what’s taking up space.
TheFabytm apple.stackexchange.com/questions/317239/macbook-air-display-color-temperature-changes-after-logging-in It is the same with this one. My night shift is turned off so I dont know what is the problem.
It is and will still be getting updates for a few more years! You can download apps from the App Store without an issue. You should be able to install an older version of office on your 2010 MBP!
@@TheFabytm thank for your reply. An older version of office? How can I download that? I think that's not any available older word or excel in appstore, besides the newest 2020

I really wish they stay with the MBA 2017 model because the new model kinda looks like MBP
If a good condition used 2017 is it worth for now?is it possible to last for 4 years more or should i just save more and go for m1 models?
Do you reckon its good for fashion design students ?
I want to know that too 😬
@Arushi Rautela @cynthia the laptop can handle the tasks that you mentioned, though it does run a bit hot and will throttle a bit, so this needs to be kept in mind!
Great choice!
TheFabytm dang. my problem is, i don’t wanna spend more than $650-700 as a 16 year old. but i want one new enough to run the incoming BigSur update. i can’t find any of the newer models w/o butterfly keyboard being resold :(
That’s a tough choice then, only the 2015 Pro or the 2017 Air fit your requirements and budget.
Thanks a ton dude for this short and insightful video, you certainly have influenced my buying decisions. And I guess as a student this laptop will be the best in the market right now for a student like me. Keep making videos like this your videos will definitely help a lot Of people in their buying decisions 💯❣️
Thank you so much! It’s great knowing that my videos are helping people out! Stay tuned for more videos! 😎
TheFabytm just got a 2020 pro replacement
Is this Macbook Air 2017 capable for digital arts?
I'm sorry for my grammar, english isn't my first language
You don't need to apologize to your grammar...but yes it's good with digital arts, compare to 2015 catalina.
Hey! Would you recommend me to buy this one or the 2015 MacBook Pro for college? And will the 2017 MacBook Air work fine even after 4 or 5 years?
The 2015 MacBook Pro should be slightly faster and it does have a better screen. If you value the battery life and portability of the Air though, the Pro can’t compete!
Hello is it suitable for senior high students will it last up to college? considering some PowerPoints and editing as well.
Yes, it’s ok for such tasks!
Hi is this good for watching netflix or youtube how about the display?
guapo papi faby.. keep on uploading great contents! ❤️
ps. i bought my macbook air 2017 last 2018 and still i had no problem with it except the screen quality
I play Minecraft on mine, will it damage my logicboard or anything near the CPU with its high heat?
I have a 2017 MacBook Air and I love it (:
Great, it’s a nice laptop!
Hey man! Saw a couple of ur vids and I loved them
Btw...what used macbook would u recommend for around 700 dollars ,that looks like a modern ,sleek , slim
Macbook, that has 16gb ram ?
Thanks in advance
Hi, thanks! Maybe a 2016 MacBook Pro 13, I’m not sure if they sell for 700$. Anyways, 13” MBP would be my recommendation.
@@TheFabytm does it have 16 gb ram?
Not the low spec model, but you can find ones with 16GB!
Nice review👍
Thank you!
Is it good for a college student who will do programming, web development and little Machine Learning ?
Yes, it should last you through college! You will need something more powerful after college if you want to do those things professionally (but most of the time, the employer will provide you with the needed tools).
@@TheFabytm Thanks a lot
I just bought my 1st apple computer in my life...13 inch macbook air 2017 from a local shop near me, even though I think I overpaid a little $866.99 (after including taxes) 8gb ram 2.2ghz i7 processor 256 SSD
Also studying web development. Thank you for this video!
@@JesseWellmanPro How do you like it so far? I see that you went for the 256GB, good choice!

I’m really glad it was helpful! :)
Macbook pro 2015 or macbook air 2017? Which should i buy? For work from home individual
I’d go with the 2015 Pro! More ports, better screen and probably more silent as its fans won’t start spinning as much as they do on the Air.
TheFabytm thanks for the advice
How much is worth now please Used in good condition in the Uk
To be honest, I’m not sure about prices in the UK. Going by the prices in the rest of Europe, £500-550 sounds like a reasonable range.
Is this good for editing videos and pictures
Yes, but it depends on what your workflow will look like. If you want to do it professionally, go with a Pro (not even a 2020 Air will be much better than this 2017 model)!
I really liked apple logo in 2017 and at the same time it is 3 years old . I see the web cam is good in 2017 than 2020 any idea ?
I am confused to go with 2020 i3 or 2027 i5 my usage is just MS office and surfing. Also I love watching movies . Display bad in 2017 ? Please advise
Display is not the best on the 2017, indeed. If you’ll watch movies, I’d go for the 2020 one. Both will be fast enough for your use .
@@TheFabytm thanks bro
Ipad pro or MacBook which one is better for a college student?? 😥😥
What are you studying? If you’re an engineering student, I’d recommend the MacBook as it can run specialized, computer-only software, otherwise, the iPad Pro for note taking!
@@TheFabytm i need it for taking notes, making presentations, web surfing, watching movies etc ... Nothing heavy and stuff like that...
Im from europe,
Here prices are generally high .
If i am to purchase this now, till when am i getting apple support further?
You’d get a one year warranty from Apple and software updates until at least 2023 I’d say.
@@TheFabytm thanks for the info, all the best to ur channel

Do you know how long this Macbook will last? This will be my first ever macbook.
I’d say 3-4 years of support from Apple and about as much until it starts getting slower.
TheFabytm hmm i’ll probably get it then. The 2020 Macbook Air is too expensive for me. I’ve also heard alot of good things about the 2017 model
Hi, I'm thinking about buying this MBA 2017, but I am wondering if it is still good for video conference needs nowadays? Wdyt?
Yes, for video conferencing it will be enough!
I do WFH and for software developers, is it good ?
Because it only contains 126gb storage
Do suggest
I must buy or not ?? 🥺🥺
I’d suggest going for the 256GB version at least. Perhaps consider a 256GB MacBook Pro, it’ll be better for your needs.
thanks for the review - is it okay for games? (minecraft, roblox, etc)
Thanks!
Unfortunately no, watch towards the end of the video, I mentioned that even Minecraft sometimes stutters.
@@TheFabytm ah I see. does it help to turn down graphics quality level?
It does, but the integrated graphics in this laptop is just not meant for gaming, so don’t expect too much!
I recommend loading windows on it through boot camp I’ve heard that when macs run Windows they are much better at gaming as MAC os is is not quite optimized for gaming
Anonymous Q how do you do that?
I’m considering purchasing I want this for my senior year and into my college years! But can it handle sims cc and mods or is that a bit to much. It’s not super important but it would be fun to be able to play
It’s a bit too much if you want to throw mods at it. For the school workflow it should be more than enough!

Well, you will be able to play Sims 4 but it won’t be extremely fluid and the fans might spin quite loud. Isn’t Sims 4 available on iOS?
Thank you so much for the comprehensive reply. I ll buy the 2017 version, as my doubts are cleared now. Nice and informative video👍👍
Thank you! Enjoy the new laptop when you’ll get it!
Hi there, do you answer tech problems? I cannot get rid of ghost-like colors/pictures and images. One cannot make out and features andcolors are distorted. I want to use a plain, basic (boring) original colors for videos, etc.

Hello again! Is it okay to use silicon case for your macbook charger? thanks!
Yes, just check that it doesn’t get any hotter.
Hi, can I use Stata with this MacBook??
I don’t have any experience with this software but by looking online, I was able to find that it does run on Macs and that this Mac does fulfill all the system requirements.
Is Macbook Air 2017 worth buying in 2020? I’m planning to buy this for my online school.

Yes, for simple videos it’ll be enough!
Is this okay for adobe premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop?
It depends on how heavy of a user you are. If you expect the Air to handle heavy loads in those apps, I’d suggest looking at a Pro!
Hello! I own a mba 2017. Is it normal for the login screen to change color when it is loading? Thank you! :)
Does it slightly change colors? I’m trying to understand what’s happening.
TheFabytm It changed to a warmer tone while loading

It is the same with this one. My night shift is turned off so I dont know what is the problem.
Can this take all the latest updates?
Yes, Apple fully supports this laptop!
is still get newer OS updates? and how bout apps on app store. because i have 2010 MBP that cant install office & excel anymore :D
You might have some success by googling office 2013/2016 Mac or directly on Microsoft’s website.
@@TheFabytm hi i wanna ask again. today i go to apple store an saw the documents on their MBA 2017 is taking 86Gb storage. i checked the documents file and it's only 8Gb somewhat (including all document in the document fies). do you know where are the others left? is there any file that we cant access? im very confuse, because i wanna buy it. and i saw their storage only 18 Gb remaining, thats no point to buy :D
Would this MacBook be good with elgato and obs ?
I wasn’t sure so I looked it up online. People have used Elgato and obs on much slower Macs so you should be good to go. Avoid the 128GB model if you want to store the recordings.
Is thia macbook good to have Kodi and stream Kodi builds from it?
Yes, it should be enough!
Which mac laptop is good for coding?
The Air Is fine for basic coding, if you want to run multiple VMs and stuff, I’d recommend a pro!
I have the base line one. But UA-cam videos in Full HD or 4K are not recommend to watch it on.
You can watch Full HD video with no issues, 4K should work as well in Chrome.
Hi! my baby brother spilled wine on my Macbook Air 2017. I’m thinking of buying a new one but i’m not sure if i’ll buy the same one that’s Macbook Air 2017 or buy the 2020 version. I’m in college btw. Thank you!
I got it fixed but it got a little bit slow. Any suggestion?
Hmm you say it got slower, that is weird. Leave it in a bag of rice for a few days so that it’ll soak the liquid.
TheFabytm Thank you!
Is it good for web development and android devlopment
I’d suggest looking at a Pro, it’ll be worth it in the end! The Air will be able to do what you’ll want to do but it might slow down if you end up with too many things open (as it usually happens when writing code).
does it work well with stream yard ?
Hi everyone , currently I have Mi notebook 14(i5 10th gen/mx250gpu / 8Gb ram / 512gb SSD) and it's a 2year old laptop and condition is decent and has no problems so far. And Someone gave me exchange offer for this laptop with MacBook Air 2017 ( 8g/128gb). Condition is as new . Should I go with it or not ?
