If the dog is neighbour’s pet and completely immunised , is there any need for Rabies vaccine and/or Immunoglobulin? My second concern is whether deep wounds are stitched or not ? Please tell us more about tetanus prophylaxis,in our phcs we are giving inj td im single dose ,then if the patient is upto 16 yrs ,we are not giving inj td because of routine immunization
Madam...one case scenario ....a cow is bitten by street dog ,dog is affected with rabies ,,,,if a boy or girl 3 year old drank that cow milk..what is treatment for that kid ? Plz explain...i've seen this case in phc( primary health centre

It's necessary you take the vaccine. Immunoglobulin is required if it's a deep wound i.e bleeding is present. Wounds are usually not stitched.
