This video is very informative. As a bank employee, we always remind our clients to never click any links sent to you via email or text, (since walang banko na nagsesend ng links via those channels), that will lead you to Phishing attacks. And also, never EVER give OTPs to others, scammers will easily access your acct/mobile banking acct once they know your OTPs. Again, maging maingat at pangalagaan ang perang pinag hirapan.
Additional info: never give the 16digits or the last 4 digits of your card, expiry date AND the CVV at the back. That can lead to usage of your acct to online transactions.
I hope this kind of awareness should be spread out. Sana there is at least a program about voice phishing and how to prevent that. In my whole life, parang wala akong nakita ganon or ako lang. Ang daming nabibiktima talaga.

Pero po dati nag work ako sa Company na nag bi benta ng CREDITCARD need naming kunin yung 16 Digits for Bank to Bank Reference only pati yang Expiry Date need din pero legit naman yung Company na na pasukan ko kahit itawag pa sa CSR ng Bank na yon Legit siya kasi maraming Customer na binabalikan kami ng tawag para kumuha ng CREDITCARD kasi na Verify nila sa CS ng Bank na yon na Legit yung Company namin pero hindi namin kinukuha yung 3 DIGITS or yung OTP/CVV na na sa likod ng CARD kasi yun yung pinaka bawal na kunin namin kasi privacy ng mga Client namin yon kaya hindi namin pwedeng kunin yung CVV na yon
PS: WALA NA KO SA COMPANY NA YON KAKA RESIGN KO LANG PANGIT NG PA SWELDO KASI AHAHAHA😂
But the question po is, paano nila nakukuha yung mga information namin kahit na wala kaming naclick na link? And alam pa po agad yung pangalan namin at bank na mayroon.

As a former BDO credit card customer service sa mga system upgrade we never call card holders ma notify nmn sila thru text and email or regular mail. And for verification nmn pag tumawag sila full name and date of birth tanong nmin wla ng iba.

That's why the best way to solve any issues is to go personally to your bank. Do your transactions lalo na pag issues sa accounts in person. Kasi mahirap na lalo na sa panahon ngayon ang transactions over the phone kasi ang daming scammers.
Aware na kami sa scam sa banking. Kasi my cousin also got an issue sa bank not long ago. (which is on the news before). Fortunately, walang nawala.

Medyo gullible pa naman si Mama at kabado haha buti nasasakto na nandito ko sa bahay everytime na may tawag sakanya. Well anyways, mag-ingat tayo lahat mapa-banks or e-wallets yan. Do not share your OTP and password to anyone! 📌

I stan an online banking security literate man! As a banker, andami ko nang experience masigawan at awayin ng mga nascam. I dont blame them pero i hope they recognize the fact that they contributed to their own mishap by not getting educated about online banking security. Di namin gusto ang nangyari sa kanila but banks nowadays have placed enough measures to ensure our clients' deposits safe. May role din ang mga account holders in ensuring these kind of scams won't happen anymore. Thank you Ssob for educating your viewers.

For me na hindi pa nag wowork and everything, I find this video very informative like kung ano ang mga dapat at hindi dapat idisclose when it comes sa account mo sa banko. Kasi, in just a snap maglalaho lahat ng pinaghirapan mo dahil sa mga scammers na kagaya nila. Props kay Ssob dahil sa effort niyang maturuan tayong i-handle ang ganitong situation coz we never know, in the future ('wag naman sana) baka tayo maka-experience ng ganito and by that, alam na natin pa'no nmakakaiwas sa kanila.

LOL kawawang scammer, walang napala, binigyan lang ng magandang content si Ssob! Anyways, yeah, mahirap talaga mascam this way. May close friend ako na namroblema talaga kasi nascam sya this way. Kaka-receive pa lang nya ng credit card nya, that very afternoon, na-scam na sya kaagad. Galing pa sya sa bangko noon. Feel ko either customer yung scammer dun sa bank or bank employee talaga nang scam sa kanya, kasi imposibleng malaman nila yung number ng friend ko unless andun sya sa banko nung kinuha ni friend yung credit card nya.
It was the very same method, tinawagan sya to get her OTP, but instead ginamit yung account nya to fake-buy via Sh*pee. Iba yung modus nila. Owner ang scammer ng isang shop dun sa Sh*pee, so pag may iniscam sila by using the victim's account to "pay" for a phantom purchase, mare-redirect yung "bayad" to the scammer pa rin kasi sila ang may-ari ng shop na yun. Tapos idedelete nila yung shop and then nobody can trace it anymore. Kahit nag-file yung friend ko ng appeal to Sh*pee and to BP*, wala silang magawa both kasi nga naibigay niya yung OTP kay scammer, so mahirap i-prove na hindi sila magka-konchaba ni scammer. Naaalala ko talaga to kasi ni-treat ko sya to eat dahil maiiyak na sya sa frustration. 60k nawala sa kanya. In retrospect, since sabihin nating mejo lucrative yung trabaho namin both (colleague ko sya sa work), madali pa rin nya yung maipon, but even so, 60k, mawawala na lang nang ganon? Besides, kahit totoo man na malaki sweldo namin, pareho kaming sandwich generation, so a big portion ng kita namin napupunta sa family for bills, rent, tuition ng mga kapatid, etc. Maliit lang natitira sa amin.
Naawa talaga ako sa kanya, kaya the least I could do was to comfort her. That money was supposed to be fund for her father's hospital bills. In the end, kelangan nyang mag-loan, and nabawi naman nya papaano. Pero still kahit hindi akko yung naka-experience, dama ko yung consequences, paano na kaya if I were in her shoes?
That's why lately maraming tumatawag, yung iba legit naman, pero yung iba fishy. Tinu-turn down ko lahat ng calls regardless if legit or not, since may emails pa rin naman akong natatanggap for updates--and these emails come from trusted email addresses. Ang excuse ko is simply, "Sorry, busy ako, I'm in a meeting right now." (Which is actually a legit excuse kasi madalas, tumatawag sila habang nasa meeting ako.)
Lessons to learn is that wag nyo na lang ibigay ang mga important info nyo kahit kani-kanino. Don't give away your phone number (lalo na ngayon na it doubles as GCash/Paymaya account numbers), Account Number, OTP, username/password credentials, etc. Wag nyo rin ipamimigay mga ID numbers nyo nang basta-basta (like passport serial number, UMID Number, etc.) para di magamit ang info nyo to impersonate you (there's a different scam about this involving using your credentials to make loans without your knowledge).

@@briereign8866 oo pinaghirapan nya talaga yun. Maswerte pa ako sa kanya kasi kahit normal na OT sa trabaho namin 1-2hrs lang OT ko. Sya inuumaga na madalas team nila every day, pati holidays at weekends nagttrabaho pa sya, halos walang tulog tapos maiiscam pa.

Hate scammers. Paano nila naaatim na gawin yun just for money na hindi iniisip kung paaano pinaghirapan namin yung pera na kinuha nila. Kung saan nakalaan talaga yung pera na yun. SUper sakit na mawalan ng pera ng ganun ganun na lang, yung tipong nandun ka na naipon mo na. Makakalipad ka na kasi okay na pera mo, pero in blink of an eye, mawawala lahat.
