It’s kinda funny when you consider how many weapons that Paladin played and Kibler held on to the ooze for the whole game.

I know kibler is more into creating as much value as the game will allow but firebat has a more draw heavy version of this deck that works nicely as well - since the 20 burst is ultimately your win condition you may as well rush towards it
Honestly I think Kibbler's version feels more finished than firebat's.

Just wanted to say that I’m taking this deck for my first legend climb ever! Just reached rank 1 this morning for the first time (previous high was 3).
While this deck isn’t broken, it’s insanely flexible and versatile with the Scoundrels, Marshspawns and Fireheart. The Penflingers and Cumulus Maximus add so much reach, you can really leathal out of nowhere.
EDIT: We made it bois! And I got a Thalnos as my gift!

Daaki I just did it! Fell all the way to rank 3 with no stars at one point, but this deck actually feels like it can stand up against anything on the meta. It doesn’t outright win any match-up but it feels good against everything!

For years now i enjoy you as a person, player and your gamplay videos and find it greatly chilling that you allways play classic music on your youtubevideos!
Insipred by the UA-camrs "Ecore 100" and "Hearthstone mathematics" i come to youre coommentsection to tell you that it seems like there might be implemented an Battlapass in a from that´s not good for the game. Also for a lot of players included me (besides buying every adventure not paying money for card packs at all) a fun to play with collection with acces to some good decks every expansion might be not achievable anymore.
So if it also is in your interest please talk to blizzard for adjusting their plans for keeping a great game great.

This deck is insane and so much fun. Just played a game against a dragon control warrior without a wincon (armor and spell generation which was kinda neat). He took 19 damage from penflinger (16 of that to his face) and 20 from Cumulomaximus and like 6 of generated lightning bolts.
Can be a burn deck, a control deck vs aggro and some kind of combo deck (bloom into double cumulo). Working with the generated spells and weaving in pen flinger feels super satisfying.

Can you use Lurker Below on a minion in the middle and have it bounce to both sides? (at 5:58)
There was a missed opportunity to use lurker below at 6:00. After pen flinging the 7/7 you can cast lurker's battlecry on the 1/3 and it will still hit the 7/5 twice and kill the rest of the board without having to trade the marshspawn. The first battle cry kills the 1/3 and then hits the 7/5, but the second battle cry hits the 1/3 again since it technically hasn't died yet to the first battlecry, and still continues the chain.
It doesn't work that way, if the first battle cry killed the minion the second battle cry will not do anything, I tried it myself.
@@iAbdulaziz9 In the example in this video, the 3 health minion would die to the battlecry, and then continue to the 7/5 and deal 3 damage to it. The second battlecry activates and hits the "dead" minion again because it hasn't left the board. For whatever reason if you hit something that is already dead it will trigger the second battlecry, which deals 3 damage to the now 7/2 minion and continues the chain. I know for an absolute fact that it works that way. You obviously haven't tried it or you would know that it does indeed work that way.
@@ChronSoss Not saying it doesn't work like that, never seen it myself and I never tried it... Because it's super counter intuitive xD I mean, I get why no one would risk it if not 100% sure it is how it works. Might try to keep it in mind for next time I'm playing it, looks like a fun way to mess with opponent head too :P
@@HeavyMachineGun the 4-6 health minion has to be the second minion hit with the battlecry or it doesn't work for whatever reason. It's very counter intuitive but try it out sometime. If you have lurker and the quest you can test it very easily in a custom game. Even if there are just 2 minions on board you can test it easily. Get yourself into a situation where there is a single 1-3 health minion next to a 4-6 health minion. Use the battlecry and instead of targetting the 4-6 health minion, target the 1-3 health minion. It will hit the first minion and set it to negative health and then hit the second bigger minion. The second battlecry hits the minion that already has negative health and it still procs the "if this kills a minion" effect for whatever reason. If the enemy has a bunch of 3 health minions with one 6 health minion as their second minion from the end on the left or right of the board, it is always a full board clear.

Hey kibler I have a tip lurker below considers dameging a 0 health minion as killing it so you didn't need to trade that 1 3 before lurker because it will double trigger anyway

Just used this deck to reach legend for the first time! I’ve been playing casually since TGT and this was my third real attempt.
While this deck doesn’t feel broken, it feels good against everything!

it doesn't hit jaraxxus anymore, but instead of hotfixing that interaction they just nerfed sac pac to only hit friendly demons... bit of a lazy workaround if you ask me
Awesome video! Crazy game. I think I spotted a lethal at 10:20. A bit of hindsight but I think it was reasonable. If you pick windfury followed by the torrent. You then have 4 mana. Frost shock and torrent the 4/5 and windfury the yeti for lethal! Anyways gg either way
There is no way he could've known the discover cards. He made the better choice given the knowledge that was available at the time.

Hey Kibler, what do you think of a deck that mix Duel and buff Paladin, With Alura and Vargoth for exemple
Sounds like it would be pulling in two different directions. Buff decks want cheap sticky minions they can play early so there is something to play the buffs on, duel decks want giant minions that they can cheat into play and that are big enough on their own they don't need additional buffs to be a threat. Alura and Vargoth are interesting in that they can potentially fit in either archetype but I don't think that's enough overlap to glue the two together like that.
Has anyone tried the libram flinger paladin boi yet? Such a good play with 0 cost librams and hrmh reccuring villain

I dont have kragg either. I replaced it with walking fountain, didnt think too hard about it though so there is probably a better pick.
Golden skygeneral kragg. Jk rusteed raider isn't terrible, with the hero power it's 1 extra mana but achieves the same general plan of just killing 1 big thing. The only downside is that you can't seperate the damage between 2 different targets.

Hello Mr Kibler. Not really any of my business, but do you have any opinions on the Firebat DQ controversy? Not necessarily expecting you to, but you usually have interesting takes on this kind of thing.
What happened with Firebat?
@@durnel2001 He was late to a Grandmasters match since he was still sleeping and they started it an hour earlier, so he was disqualified and fined $1,000. Apparently he had been kept up late the night before due to Blizzard delaying things which was why he was sleeping so close to the match in the first place, but I don't know the specifics of that part. Just a shitty situation, he is technically in the wrong for sure but it also sounds like Blizzard set him up to fail by creating an unrealistic schedule for a human to follow without ignoring their basic needs like sleep.
He didnt have a libram of hope in hand from liadrin, since previously he had cast it on face and liadrin returns spells cast on minions.

Fireheart is more impactful and will be in standard longer
@@j0rdnn444 Lurker Below is Ashes of Outland so they are both Year of the Phoenix and rotate same time. This deck doesn't have many board clears, so Lurker might actually be more important.

I still think fireheart would be a better craft just for the ability to potentially discover two great board clears or penflinger-synergizing cards
I often find lurker leaving me with an awkward board after being played, and also being too much mana for its purpose if going against a hyper aggro deck like painlock and rogue right now
I would say fireheart but getting off a good lurker below and killing 7 minions feels pretty awesome. Rare, but hard to beat.
I went with Fireheart, also thinking she'll be relevant in some other fun Shaman decks
i guess he was hoping for that taunt murloc there at the end not that i recommend it
i played a lot of this deck after a 7 month layoff and was good but not once i hit legend.It actually felt sort of weak and needed great rng to win.So i noticed that PLD was absolutely steam rolling me so eventually i caved in and tried PLD,feels way more powerful than this deck.Thing is PLD can draw badly however i had as many poor opening hands with this deck as i did with PLD so the much mroe powerful pLD is just a better choice.
Was Penflinger fun,well yeah it can be but i felt like every turn i was hoping for rng.I might come back to playing this but i want to change it,that fireheart card never seemed much like a legendary so i would replace that.I also feel could make a version that utilizes Penflinger and ES+Hex to handle PLD as well still going for the Galakrond package.

Druid was another class that just felt broken,imo if Druid gets their ramp gg,i would deffinitly nerf a couple those Druid cards.I checked HRS and can see why Shaman is lowest rated,it just doesn't have the broken cards other classes have.Sad reality is that whenever SHMN does get a broken card the nerf comes fast ,like 2-3 days,other classes get broken cards and they remain much longer.This is why Shaman has had more seasons a the bottom than any other class.Someone at Blizzard execs hate Shaman?

5:54 Lurker Below on either side fully clears board since it casts his battlecry twice on the same minion even if the minion've died first. So Marshspawn could've attacked face there.
That's not how lurker works, if the first battlecry kills your target the second battlecry doesn't go off.
@@randomdud668 yes, it does work that way. The second battlecry triggers before any of the minions actually die and counts hitting a dead target as "killing" it. Have you played quest shaman with lurker below before? Try it out sometime before coming to shut down people who know more than you. He totally could have targeted the 1/3 on the right and it kills the entire board. That is an absolute fact. Don't spread misinformation about shit you're not even sure of because you haven't tried it because if you had played the card in lots of games you would know that he's right.
I'm glad to see someone else in the comments pointing this out. I hate to see that know it alls will try to shut you down when they have no idea how the card actually works.

Pretty hard to find info on this because it's a very niche interaction, but here you go. I'd record it myself but this was easier. The second battlecry triggers before the minion dies on board, and putting a minion from 0 health to -3 health even though it is already "dead" counts as killing it a second time. That is indeed how the interaction works. I've done it dozens of times. But hey if you want to continue to think you know how it works go for it. I'll continue to screw over people who try to position incorrectly against lurker below. It's a niche interaction and basically nobody plays shaman but I assure you that is how it works. You can say "you mad bro" all you want but you are wrong.

It's at least 1 battlecry, more if not dealt with. And its battlecries are lackeys, which are great value generators. EVIL Totem is amazing in any iteration of Quest Shaman!
I know it's a card game but man, I wish this game didn't have so much RNG. Mythgard has way less.

@@pinny0101 I think the "discover" mechanic is an acceptable level of RNG. But cards like Wand Maker or Sludge Slurper that just add a random card from a given pool to your hand add way too much variance for my taste. Also the starting hand size in Hearthstone is small, so the hand you open with is a much larger source of variance as well.
@@leapdaniel8058 but as you said, they add cards from a controlled pool, it's not super extreme and most results will have similar outcomes, or in the case of lackeys it happens multiple times throughout the game that they average out. Compare the RNG in hearthstone to the RNG magic, there is much much more actually random mechanics but there is much less card draw rng.
@@pinny0101 True but you can kind of say that about anything random. A dice roll is also from a controlled pool because you will only roll an integer from 1 to 6. You will never roll 7 or pi or anything like that. But yeah, at least they don't print cards like "add a random card from any class to your hand at the end of your turn".
I think you should bring to light the new battle pass system and how its replacing the old reward system. I love your content but these changes will kill the game as they are currently being presented. I'm subbed to most of the HS content creators and I hope you all along with us veteran players can still shed light on this in hopes they decide against its implementation.

As you're a game designer, I guess people ask you due to that "ease of access" you might have when considering the idea (not saying you DO have it, but most people seem to think that). @@bmkibler The recent surveys posted by Blizzard regarding the new battle pass (more pay to win, no daily quest gold) system and speculations that follow strongly suggest that the new battle pass model ultimately could become the new model for monetization of Hearthstone. These behaviors were present shortly before the implementation of the the new "reward system" that we saw within the past year or so in regards to minimizing duplicates when opening packs as well as less 60 gold daily quest reward occurances. My concern is that if we as a community do not voice our stance then we potentily will see Blizzard's new monetization model implemented without contest and it would only further hurt the community that still enjoys playing Hearthstone both as free to play and pay to play. Bot Mathematician / Holomancer channel did a decent cover on the topic as well recently and I would like to hear your opinion on their observations of the new model. Your response is entirely up to you but as you are a well known veteran of Hearthstone and a part of our community the players value your stance on significant changes to the game we all enjoy playing and watching you play.
It could be the new model, it also might not be. Unless I'm missing something nothing has been announced and they're just kicking around ideas behind the scenes (which is their job and something they presumably do all the time, most of which never gets implemented in the actual game). There's nothing to address or get upset about until they actually announce an update.
Honestly though the way the possible system is described doesn't sound like the end of the world, my biggest concern would be them locking things like hero skins and other unique rewards at the end of a huge forced grind instead of just letting us buy them (although then I'd stop buying hero skins I almost never use, so that may technically even be an improvement). If you're going to rally the community for a cause wouldn't it make more sense to tackle something like... I dunno, making the game good again? Finally implementing rotating core sets? Adding a third ladder format that is like wild except with a ban list so we can finally have an eternal format which actually has any hope of being balanced? Slightly tweaking the way rewards are unlocked through daily play seems like one of those lowest priorities right now, the plane is crashing and you're trying to order a sprite.
