Do you ever wake up in paradise and feel like the backdrop is but mere wallpaper? (Kidding ... kinda ...) Now on to my famous gassa-gassa commentary. Please remember that Koh Lipe is spelled Koh and not just Ko )with no "H"). 1) PLEASE wear shoes when walking on pavements, please. Gabriel. That way, the soles of your valuable feet won't be FRIED. 2) Hey. at least you had toilets on board, eh? How do chicks fare peeing and doing the deuce, I wonder. Oh well, I guess you won't tell us, huh? 🤣🤣🤣 3) Is the food from 7/11 any better than it is stateside? I mean, you'd figure it's have to be, right? Ours have such bloody DRECK! 4) SUPER GLAD you dig on Led Zep. "Physical Graffiti' is their best LP by far: ua-cam.com/video/EH6I31ev1GM/v-deo.html. I have fondest memories of listening to it on the Senior Lounge, in high school when the seniors invited all the under-classmen to come and rock out the day the damn thing was released! The music holds up, of course. There really was something in The UK's water, because that place (England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland) produced the world's best actors and rock bands hands down. England especially gave the world the best music and actors ever. Amazing really, when one stops to think about it all, really. 5) Little Feat's cool, too, I have to say, though. America has given the world some radical out rock muzak, as well, I have to confess. 6) As good as the food looks on Koh Muk, I still would NEVER eat at places which were not popular, and where I did not see turnover. You know, food gets left out to sit, and then ... gets to room temperature plus ... the refrigeration is not the best I am guessing. I don't know. I'd be leery of getting food poisoning. But, that is perhaps just me and my incipient paranoia. 7) 25:19 -- Ohhh, the delish food ... the delish food! And, wait up, is that the Easter Bunny we can see? All with hot fluffy rice and a bazillion buck view, too! Thank you, Gabriel. I have been a "fan" (if you will) of yours for quite some time, and always enjoy your content, even when ... and if I correct your pronunciation or words. 😉
I absolutely love how you show the real-life areas of Thailand and other places. I love seeing how people in other countries live. Your vlogging style makes me feel like I'm actually there!
In the age of travel bloggers who run around going to rooftop bars and finding the best $10 lattes, there’s this guy who embodies what traveling should be about. Just being. Thanks for standing out from the pack by being authentic. 👏🏾
Great seeing more of an authentic island like this In Thailand, that is why we always love the Philippines because it is so easy to find islands and places like this that have remained untouched still.
Hey, Gabriel! Long-time subscriber here. So happy that you got back to Thailand. Excellent, excellent videos! It's also been three years since I've been in Thailand (March 2020). I will be there for five weeks on February 4 experiencing many of the islands in the south. Especially excited for Koh Lipe and Koh Mok. I've already booked my accommodations, but that room in Koh Mok looks like it's hard to beat. Please keep the exceptional videos coming. Your channel is one of the best on UA-cam for travelers!
All of this off the beaten path stuff" is really awesome Gabe! Love the backroads showing the island, the people. Nice accommodations also.... hiding the laptop is also a good idea!
Hi Gabriel! Me and my husband literally jumped from the chair in the previous video when you mentioned Ko Mook!!! We went there in February 2019 after 3 days in Ko Ngai (which is smaller but more similar to Ko Lipe). As your followers, we are sure you will appreciate this island! The sea is definitely different from other more famous islands but everything else is very interesting! Enjoy it! Ciao da Trieste (Italia) 😉
Hey bro if you’re still the area I highly recommend Ko Kradan. It is a tiny, pristine island that you can take a direct ferry to from Ko Muk. For me it is my favorite island in all of Thailand. Such a magical place.
I really enjoyed this video! I admire that you go off the beat and track and see how local life is. I have never been to beautiful Thailand, but have only heard good things. Thanks for sharing.
This is our favourite island. We’ve been twice and stayed at Nature hill, did you see that place? It’s just up from Charlie beach. I’m glad you enjoyed the more “local” feel of the place. That’s what we thought as well. A hidden gem.
I feel like we might accidentally cross paths soon. Come visit Hat Yai for a wildcard. It’s like no other city vibe in Thailand! You’ll need to rent a scooter to see all the secret streets full of amazing southern food.
Hi Gabriel, yes, the time to move on and experience something else. The island of Ko Muk does seem a bit discarded, the beach doesn't look as pleasant as Ko Lipe, but it has a more mellow vibe. There are several types of activities there, snorkeling and going into a cave you would think they have medicinal pools of water of these islands.
Charlie beach is actually quite nice. (It’s another beach we didn’t see in the video) What’s cool to do is to take a local fisherman boat to other islands nearby. It cost like 800 baths for half a day of island hoping ✌🏽
Been to a few of these islands including Kood,Phayam and Chang, they are beautiful to visit for we westerners, and I look forward to fitting back there to these places this year after all the stuff of the last few years.
Im sure you hear this all the time but you have inspired me to leave home create my own UA-cam channel your content you have changed my life! Thank You so much!
Done this same route and the speedboat from Ko Lipe to Ko Muk was treacherous! Old mate was definitely pushing the limits so I was not having a great time haha. What a place to arrive to though! God knows who wrote that review calling it garbage island!
Staying two nights huh ? Two nights too long . The spooky music was a good fit to that creepy , empty area. You are tough . I could not walk around that place . I think a touristy area would feel and look more safe ! That why you do things, and I just watch ! Take care , stay well and safe !
Gabriel, thanks for the laughs just after the 5min mark. Peeing on a moving Boat... ;) Myself only once, big Ferry to Arran. No bother really. Still wouldn't want to be barefoot in that Loo ;) Regards & best wishes Sir.
Hi Gabriel, sorry for my late reply. Thank you I will look more closely next time I hear a track I like. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your adventures. Take care and stay safe Hilary 👍🏻😃
Loving the Thailand series 👌 Just one small thing - if it's in your control, please turn off 'in video links ' which come up near the end of each vlog. They just spoil the end of each video in my view and are rather annoying. Thanks
You must be working very hard to find expensive rooms because in Phuket, Ko Samui etc,,,, i never paid more than 600 Baht and all the rooms were as good as this one.
I use booking.com. If there are good deals to be found somewhere then they're usually available on there. Probably a matter of being peak season plus Thailand is getting more expensive.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Where i slept,2019, were places i saw driving by. I don't think any of those places advertised on any services. No Booking on line... How about doing a video while in Thailand where you don't book using your phone or websites. Perhaps land with a night booked previously but the video would more be about the quest to find something more interesting or affordable... That'd be very interesting to me.
Nice work mate. Its good to see some of the less populated and touristy islands. I highly recommend Raya island if you're a big fan of crystal blue waters. Check out the beach I filmed on my GoPro when I was there earlier this year. ua-cam.com/video/Rnj_fJ0XtiA/v-deo.html
Another great video. The island...so far.. doesn't seem to be very well cared for. Rubbish and run down buildings. Guess there are better parts of the island though

I forgot to mention the price of the room. It was $36 per night at Mookboonchu Guesthouse.
Hi Gabriel, have you ever had items go missing from an accommodation? (hotel/hostel/rooming house/airBnB etc?)
I hope you visit the Philippines too. 🌴
