only been to an anime con once before, pre covid, and it was a small local one. gonna go to otakuthon this year so thanks for this vid! very helpful with getting an idea of how the con process works and what the convention center looks like edit: my wallet will indeed be in danger...
I'm glad this was helpful! Thank you for commenting. The con is pretty well organized. I don't remember if I said in the video, but if you pre-register, the best time to pick up your badge is in the evening of Day 0, the Thursday before the convention starts. You'll get a little book with the map and schedule, so you can plan your weekend.
Thank you for coming to my hometown of Montreal once again! I missed the Nijisanji panels but attended the concert on Day 3, it was LIT 🔥 I see you posted VODs of the Game Show and Q&A panels for both EN and JP livers, thank you ❤ Enjoy your stay in Montreal, please say CROISSANT for once and not Quaso 🤡 Have a safe flight back home brother 🙏
Otakuthon is a nice convention! They bring in great guests. I'm glad I could get the panels. I was happy to see so many cosplayers on concert day. Thanks for all your support!
Planning on going for 2024! Its gonna be my first convention and I'm meeting a friend in person for the first time so its definetly gonna be hype! If you see a Yuta okkotsu maybe its me! Defo going to the video game floor
Is it free to walk around ? I’m just a casual anime fan so I would be interested to just walk around and look and maybe buy a thing or too from some booths.
No, the convention requires paid registration. A badge for Sunday costs $50 CAD this year, and the whole weekend is $75 CAD. Otakuthon offers discounts for registering weekend badges a few months in advance. It's one fee for all aspects of the convention like panels, gaming rooms, and the vendor hall. There isn't a "vendor-hall-only" pass, for example.
L'm not in exibits hall on sunday because a had à photoshoot at 2 hour pm, after that l pass the majority of my time in the 1rst floor to search my friend and i go up to the hall viger until 6 pm😅
I make the Free karaoké 2 times on friday and saturday, but the week-end is complicated because my mother are in hospital,in intensive care unit near the death and life😢😢 i cried a lot🥺
Hi Crisu it’s nice seeing you in person. Thanks for the fist bump😎
Thanks for saying hi!
24:09 The Bleach meet-up was hosted by me 😁 didn't know someone was filming but that was great seeing our set up 🙌
That's so awesome! Loved seeing people grouped up, was too shy to ask for pictures, maybe this year
Wow that city is so modern! And that convention center is humongously huge!

37:18 Looks like you confused the hell out of that woman 😆
Otakuthonもでっかくなったなあ~。会場にコスプレした子供が多いのも驚いた。
I think I'll keep this one if people ask how the convention center is made in general. Pretty accurate description of this year's layout.

was there any Crunchyroll stuff?
Crunchyroll-hime had a Q&A panel, but I didn't attend it.
And the company did not have a table in the exhibit hall from what I could see.
