Yeah think that had to go for maintenance costs etc. and it’s such a small footprint not much would fit there so they’re a bit stuck. The hub just feels odd.
Avalanche has operated on 2 trains a few times this year however it’s mainly been 1 train all season. The reason for this is because they used spare parts from the 2nd train to keep the first going. I heard they ended up sending the 2nd train to MACK for refurbishment at some point in the year, so I don’t see it immediately being removed this season. As for Grand Prix I had an evac from it on opening day and I’ve heard it’s been out of action a lot this season so in my opinion that seems like the most likely of the 4 rides to go first.
I've always enjoyed both Avalanche and Ice Blast. I don't thing Grand Prix has ever been operating on any day I've visited, so wouldn't care if that went. Skyforce always feels like a bit of a waste of time and the capacity is horrendous - that actually feels like a good location for a pendulum-type ride.
Used to enjoy the Fun House in my grey stockingfeet, ride the Wild Mouse, Monorail, Cable Cars, Log Flume, But the Reel, Dive Bomber double big wheel and many more rides were before my time.
Starblast I don't really see as a loss....replace it with something better When the Grand Prix (Turnpike) cars were replaced in the early 00's with stupid automatic cars, that's were it started to go downhill. It especially should have been replaced with Infusion instead of removing the Log Flume, the Log Flume should still be there as one of the rarest rides available. Removing Avalanche would be another idiotic move. Againn it's an iconic rare individual ride. Sadly too many idiots are running the company. As for the Skyforce....I saw it once and was left bewildered, I didn't see the point, it looked so stupid. I seem to remember hippy types liking it! Grand Prix (Turnpike) has been confirmed as going anyway. Monorail was another idiotic removal, again unique. The cable cars (for you young people) was another sad removal, yes I know it occupied certain space, but it was heavily determined on no one farting (wind) nearby so can understand that one going.
I would have rather they kept the log flume too! I guess now we know Grand Prix is definitely going and although Amanda says Ice Blast will return this season it certainly doesn’t look like it 🙈
I think some of the rides are listed. If I remember right the gran prix can't be moved because of the road under neath... A bit like pulling a glass out of a champagne tower. I could be wrong...
I feel like avalanche is too popular to go and i think it would have to get a lot worse to go mabye more like 10 years. Capacity doesn't seem to be a big issue for them even in the holidays i dont think i saw a queue above 40 mins so maybe they could still afford to lose a ride or 2.
Love Avalanche. Was my daughters first ride on a big coaster (about 5 or 6 years ago when she was about 5 or 6) so would be sad to see it go. Grand prix has a heritage factor but not been on it in years. Ice Blast I do like but if its replaced with something else good I'd be fine with that. Maybe a gauntlet styled around Thors hammer next to valhalla. Skyforce us rubbish I agree. I've tried 3 time with different techniques and can never spin it either. Happy to see that go.
I think possibly reopen the tumor towers , bring bing back it has more seats so more people on the ride less waiting times sky force was a mistake, id like to to see another fun house (something indoors for those days where the weather isnt great for rollercoaster outside) this way the park doesn't lose to much money , reopen noah ark it was a fun experience for all ages, update river caves as some of the themes r outdated or empty . Bring something like space invader back , id also love to have the monorial back the train express thing is boring compared . Maybe get rid of the log flume cause theres alot of them on faires and piers .
Given the parks comments about moving away from heritage and modernising the park I doubt they’ll bring anything similar to the past back. But you never know with Blackpool 🤷♂️
When I worked there, there were meetings about bulldozing FY4 food court and the car park to the rear of that to add a new coaster. This was supposed to happen a few years post ICON but with the pandemic and revenue losses, I’m not sure if this has just been scrapped. Although I know in the last year or so there have been markings appearing in that car park. So fingers crossed the plan is still being worked out.
First) I found Iveblast to be disappointing, i thought it would be more exciting last i went on it, still good, but could be better. 2) never, ever been on Grand Prix, was shut last year when i went. I absolutely love Avalanche though. Aside from Valhalla its my favourite. 3) went on Skyforce once, it was disappointing. I didnt see the point in it, had more fun in Nickelodeon Land than on Skyforce.
Now Grand Prix is going, and Ice Blast looks to be finished, hopefully you are wrong about Avalanche. They need to introduce more rides. The place is starting to look empty.
@@coaster_dad The state that Ice Blast is in just now doesn't look like it's simply waiting on some spare parts. It used to be amazing how they fitted so many rides into a relatively small acreage but now they have loads of space, sadly.
The Grand Prix I don’t get. They’re gonna open it for one more day, why not just open it UNTIL that closing day 🤷♂️ although it was far from reliable so I guess that’s the reason it’s disappearing.
Hopefully, if they do extend the boulevard, it will be on the existing car park behind it, rather than the park itself, to get rid of a fairly new’sh ride and not replace it with another one so they can extend the hotel would be beyond moronic. It was 2015, that Sky Force opened, so this season will be its ninth season.

@@coaster_dad Sorry but BPB, although not in its best period, does not need awful fairground rides like bling, awful name, awful ride, strictly for funfairs.
A gyro swing in that area would give off too much energy in that area, I'm sick of people speculating about rides going, talk about another park for a change, a gyro swing is rubbish for a park like pb
In my opinion, The only ride that could possibly replace Ice blast and should be what replaces it, is a modern shot or drop tower, S&S as well as making the space shot model still, they now also do newer double shot models now, they are, the Turbo Drop tower, The combo Tower, the double shot tower, the Rotating tower, and the Spin shot tower, And Intamin does quite a few interesting drop tower models too. A ride like Tower of Terror, wouldn't go into the space that ice blast occupies, although it'd be so cool to have one of them types of rides here in the UK, as none exist here, and the elevator (Lift) tower ride such as TOT, provides an incredible thrill, being both pulled down the shaft as well as pulled up. I don't think a Gyro swing would fit where Ice blast is because of the close proximity of The Flying machines, there just wouldn't be enough clearance for it to swing, as you've Loki's at one end and the flying machines at the other end, and they couldn't have it the other way as due to lack of clearance with Valhalla.
@@coaster_dad Yes, i agree with you there. But if the Cars and Avalanche were to go, plus the Revolution then they would have more space to put another medium sized Coaster of some sort.
They need to start replacing rides they have to remove. There’s been a net reduction in rides for decades now. Even if it means getting some travelling rides in for a season (put a spinning mouse where the Wild Mouse was) or some temporary flats like Alton Towers do.
What do you think is next for Blackpool Pleasure Beach? Let me know below
Bring Back THE WILD MOUSE

Once they leave River Caves alone!
Don’t see that leaving. Maybe getting a wee refresh though 😀
Glad sky force going boring ride. Bring back bling or something else hotel has enough rooms
If it goes I’ll also be glad to see the back of it. I never go on it. And like you I’d like bling back 😀
@@coaster_dad Sorry but BPB, although not in its best period, does not need awful fairground rides like bling, awful name, awful ride, strictly for funfairs.
Stick a lech clone on avalanche area
Now there’s an idea 😁
@coaster_dad not been to many parks in Europe but its brilliant 👏 👌 hyperion was excellent but good luck getting that in!!
@royalrecordings4307 ha ha yeah that would be a squeeze 😂
ooohhh yes that would be great i love lech
A gyro swing in that area would give off too much energy in that area, I'm sick of people speculating about rides going, talk about another park for a change, a gyro swing is rubbish for a park like pb
I have a video about some changes to Alton Towers coming out tomorrow so look out for that one 🙂
I hate gyro swings they are so ugly and it would make that area of park look horrible,
True
In my opinion, The only ride that could possibly replace Ice blast and should be what replaces it, is a modern shot or drop tower, S&S as well as making the space shot model still, they now also do newer double shot models now, they are, the Turbo Drop tower, The combo Tower, the double shot tower, the Rotating tower, and the Spin shot tower,
And Intamin does quite a few interesting drop tower models too.
Revolution Definitely needs to go too👌🏻👌🏻
Mmm that’s a tricky one. It’s a very compact ride. If it went there aren’t many rides that would fit in that space 🤷♂️
In my opinion Amanda Thompson is a fraud.
Yikes. It was an odd statement to make on that podcast but I also can’t imagine the challenges of running the park 🤷♂️
It’s just the same
Remove infusion
Oh I’d be happy to see the back of that!
@@coaster_dad and replace it with a B&M invert and turn national into an RMC
The Revolution should be for the chop, it's old and boring.
Problem is it’s a very compact ride so if they did get rid of it, it doesn’t open up much space for a replacement 🤷♂️
I don't know, the queue goes down fast on this. Takes up minimal space. Always tends to be running well. I would leave it for now.
Gyro Swings are so ugly looking
