Well done. I've seen other interviews with Archuleta and the interviewers alway speak over him. You gave him space and respect to reflect on his life, carrier and music. That's a sign of a great interviewer.
the best thing about David Archuleta has always been his purenesss/his commitment to faith.....the light that eminates from him due to his authenticity is amazing.....even while he was struggling it is a gift to hear someone so open honest and transparent...i hope he realizesthat God cares about ones spiritual orientation...not their sexual orientation great interviewer too....
He is an incredible human. It’s so hard to live life and then to struggle in this excruciating way and to come out of it with a smile. Thank you for sharing your truth, David. ❤
Thank you for this wonderful interview with David. So incredibly moving, inspiring and sincere. It's definitely encouraging to others who may be dealing with their own inner turmoil. So much love and respect for David for his courage, for sharing his struggles, his journey and also for sharing his amazing music with us all. ❤
Thank You for this interview with David was truly a great one, that's true if whoever does not like others just move on turn around and there is billions and billions of others around the world ..
David.....wonderful interview! You inspire because you are real. It's that simple. God sees you as his perfect child and loves you beyond belief! Thank you for reflecting this, because that's what we're here for! Celebrate you everyday! ❤
David’s story and mine are just about the same and we both came out the same year. I love him so much and find inspiration in everything he talks about concerning his experiences because I lived those as well.
Hi David, watched you since idol, we always loved your music. We went thru hard times, met you once when I had my girls with me and my Anna ran so fast she fell running to see you. In Utah. She held in her tears till you left. We were in rough times, seems like rough times follow me. Trying to find true faith. I love God, but not finding true spirituality.God Bless
Hi David - I love your journey - just like mine from the Baptist chusrch I,ve been soory to lose folks , but couldn't deal with rejection - so had to say goodbye . I,ve also been suicidal - but God sees us as ablank sheet X
It is a wonder he survived, and I am still worried about him. I believe that a just God will punish church leaders who harm their dear children, including their queer children. I am so angry about this.
Just watched the LDS temple ceremony movie (2014) online and have to say that the LDS Church has some quite progressive theology. So Elohim sends these two gay art directors, Jehova and Michael, obviously a couple, down to create heaven and earth, fowl and fish, and mankind. I mean, have you seen a straight art director? I haven't. And these snarky remarks about "all kinds of seed"... 🏳️🌈💪😇
Any label or identity that is outside of being a child of God is not one to claim. I can see how it serves as a distraction and can take us off the path. Jesus didn’t say that we need to come out of a closet and embrace our worldly lusts. He asked us to come up out of the water and be born again, deny ourselves of all lust and temptations of this world and follow Him. All the lust and curiosity is not our identity. I wish David the best as he sorts all this out.
He didn't say come out of the closet, He said come as you are. He said let the children come to me. He said the greatest commandment is that we love each other. When the woman caught in adultry was placed before him, He didn't jump on the band wagon and point fingers at her and scorn her. He wrote everyone else's sins in the dirt. And after they slithered away with their arrogant tails between their legs, THEN He told her to sin no more. She felt His love for humanity in spite of sin. Where are we in these stories? Are we coming to Him as a child, open to learning how He really loves? Are we learning how to love without judgment? When we can love His love of acceptance and compassion for sinners, for humanity, when we become so much like Him in HOW we love, we won't have to preach about what it takes to find his favor. People will be drawn to our reflection of His grace. 🙏 It is my prayer to love as He loved.

Well, if David can use the word "queer" than I guess you can make your silly comment.

Did you not hear how much he was suffering before he came out? Fuck you and your religion.
I Am SURE, DAVID YOU ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING!!!❤
