Great video guys! Still doing research on the different manufacturers for my upcoming upgrade... for the record it's "disc brakes", NOT "disk breaks" 😆! Kodiak, Dexter, DeeMaxx, Hydrastar...possibly others? Looking at recommendations, tests, reviews etc. Also just having Performance Trailer Braking just do everything start to finish. Videos like this are helpful! Thanks!! 👍 BTW, link above doesn't work.
Thank you for watching our video, since this video we did have the MORryde Independent Suspension bolt on to our 5th wheel and we changed our brakes to a different brand too. ua-cam.com/video/ypDxytf3joc/v-deo.html MORryde: For 7% off and free shipping for MORryde products, use our link to save you money. shopmorryde.com/?ref=Venturesome Use our Code: VenturesomeCouple7%
We ordered them from the factory when we ordered the 310RL. Best option decision IMO, when we hit the brakes you can feel the 5th wheel holding the truck back.
Thank you for watching our video 🤗 We ordered everything for our Valor except disc brakes, but the triple axle stopped great. When we traded our Valor for our Paradigm, we didn’t want to wait for one to be built & got one that was already built. It was kind of nice to have a “blank canvas” RV to modify it for us. The new disc brakes are amazing, we’re loving it!

Great video...I 2nd the disc brakes....The best bang for your buck...safest braking system there is..should be standard equipment on trailers 8000 lbs and over. The other thing I have been working on is a parking brake...wheel chocks work, but not near as good as locked hubs. Our rig will have disc brakes for sure....it's pricy to have independent suspension....but Paired with disc brakes , your in a class of your own 😉😉😉 !!!!
Thank you for watching our video Rob. We agree, it should be a standard to have disc brakes on trailers. When we got this Paradigm it was already built & we wanted it now, but if we ordered it we would have gotten disc brakes then. We’re on the list for IS but not until May next year.
Thank you for watching our video Rick & Darci. We weighed our RV after most of the upgrades & we were 1000 lbs under weight. We do pack light & since then we have Spring Cleaned our rig most recently & we don’t bring as much stuff with us. We have a home base so this was easy for us to do.
Thank you for watching our video. Awesome, we had a Valor 42V13 & ordered that one March 2021. We traded this in February this year for our Paradigm & chose one that was already built, so it was a “blank canvas” for us to add to it for our lifestyle 🤗
Thank you for watching our video 🤗 It is a great upgrade. When we traded our Valor for the Paradigm, we chose to get a Paradigm that was already built, so it didn’t have disc brakes.
Thank you for watching our video, we are on the list for IS,but that appointment is next year as there is a long waiting list. We were able to get disc brakes sooner so we got this upgrade now, but we are still going to get IS. Thank you for asking.
Hello S Reed, thank you for watching our video. The disc brake kit is about $2,600 depending on 7K or 8K brake size on Etrailer. I believe the disc brakes with install is about $4k. For us we did multiple projects at once and we are hoping to do Independent suspension (IS) in the future. Basically one step at a time since that is a large project to tackle with brakes and IS.
Hey 1HOTAHI, thanks for watching our video and supporting our channel. We are no where near max. When we weighed a couple weeks ago with RVSafety we are 750lbs under on the trailer and thousands under on the truck. We were talking about max weights not actual weight.
@@VenturesomeCouple the way he said it made it sound like you guys were at capacity!! I was like noooo way!!! Great channel, gotta see the brake price, if we pull the trigger on that model this spring

Your going to drive I’m really impressed Martha , I haven’t gotten the nerve or bravery to drive our trailer yet. I’m glad you’ll be safer with your new brakes great video (Ruth)
Thank you for watching our video. Martha is really excited to tow our 5th wheel, she towed our first travel trailer & it was 33 ft long, she’s towed boats & other trailers before too.
Bryan Strong, thank you for your career to our freedom. I was just under 10 on active and then six in the reserves before I was medically discharged. Surgeon General said time to move on. I have no regrets.

Martha and Chris, lots of great information. Thank you for sharing. Peace and Safe Travels -Craig
Thank you Craig!
We ordered our 340RL with the disk breaks. We are very happy that we got them.
Thank you for watching our video Bob, glad you love your disc brakes, it’s so nice having them on our 340RL now.

With all of these add ons, when was the last time you weighed your fifth wheel and truck? Thanks

Had disk brakes installed on my Valor from the factory. Love them
We didn’t have to add the extra box to our dexter disc brake system.
Thank you for watching our video.

at 14:15 what is the manifold above the batteries with all the red hoses coming out of it?
Thank you for watching our video and supporting our channel. That is the hydraulic system for our slides and the auto leveling system.
Hey Guys, Not sure if I missed it but where is Moryde Service Center located?
Thank you for watching our video, they are located in Elkhart, Indiana.
Is there a reason you didn't go also with independent suspension with the disk brakes

Upgrade price?? And the weight list on your rig shows 12,782, and the GVWR is 16500. So you guys have maxed that out already??

Hey 1HOTAHI,
Looking back at the video it does sound that way. Thank you for watching our channel.
So doing this upgrade…. What does this look like in $$$$$

Are you a fellow 2T2XX?
Hey Brian, I am definitely a Port Dog! I spent my entire career in 2T2 except a stint in recruiting.
