Offical is great for me because i like the survival aspects of the game, intead of buying somthing from a trader, Ill loot and maybe die for somthing as simple as a hatchet. I totatly get why some people perfer modded, but it feels good to play the game the way it was made.

There is plenty community that have vanilla experience. They have no added mods just the game as is, but the benefit is that there is less cheaters since there is active admins that you can file a complaint for using 3rd party software like aim bots helping them shoot you in the head from 700-800m with a pistol or seeing trough walls and know where exactly are you. Also on community servers i tend to find more people that talk with a microphone and you get more player interaction.
Official is the bomb.... You get a high pop server and survival is so rewarding. Getting geared is an achievement, on modded it's like cod and if I wanted to play that I would. And I'm not 15.
Because I like the survival aspect of the game more than anything. After having 2000 hours in this game on just official, I can get geared in like two hours. I now focus on hardcore servers. Also, always check that lighthouse by the cherno spawn you got. Very popular suicide spot, so a shit ton of bodies with fruit will be there often.
I just started playing about 2 months ago on Xbox. I didn't know what I was doing and started on an official server. It's been fine being "boring" to help me learn how to survive. I'm going to try some community servers soon, once I figure out what they all mean
I started off on pc and played a pve server to learn how to make a fire. My first fire was so good. I can imagine what caveman felt. 2 weeks into the pve server I had a helicopter. Server is called " UK future" if you ever get pc you should try it

If you ever do a part two I suggest the baby sitter cheevo, for example. Official servers always hit north east airfield get nbc suit hit rify cross back west hit military outposts south to zeleno hit up pavlo then up north to tisy. Then it’s over to Livonia for a new mission to the bunker.
Well one thing is for sure….u do have to worry about coming across 10 man groups lol, well 6 at least, and see that’s the good thing is u didn’t even know there was a group rather than modded u always expecting the group so it’s a better and scarier feeling…also I’ve always like the thrill of scouting servers and always finding different bases in all sorts of places on so many other servers and having like a hideout of your own that feels miles away cause of server change and it all about how YOU feel and what makes YOU have fun…great content bro, thanks

Official DayZ servers are the purest, most Raw form of DayZ standalone. There's nothing like finding that one rare piece of loot or that one amazing interaction on your journey to survive. Modded servers just dont hit the same

Im kinda new only 150hrs. Feeling like a lone wolf survivor is dope. Not knowing if the next person you meet will just start popping off or wave. Getting sick several times has lead me to just killing myself and trying to recover my things in a secluded spot. So far I've met a couple of cool people but never had a run with a duo.
I only play official. It's got more survival needed. For example, you could have made a fish trap or hunted for hunger remedy. I don't see many people doing that on modded servers. Actually I do play on the Fallen maps. That is survival on crack. My longest survival on that wasaround 40 hours.
I love official because you actually have to scavenge food/ guns and everything you will need on your journey. Meanwhile on a modded server you can be geared up in 10 minutes
If you could show us in the map when your traveling, like where you are with like a line to where your going it would help SOOO many people learn the map!
Good work man ill usally roam the map get gear go to the coast stash my gear and the first friendly player I meet ill take to the stash die repeat only play light mod pve cause I'm trash at PvP and got no friends.😂
People prefer mods cause they want to gun and run: every body is a sniper, your first mistake on vanilla is staying on the outer parts of the map, when you load in grab food light gear and go straight up north. Vanilla is cut into zones now for loot, this was done on purpose to force players to the inner map, Dayz has a tiered map. I play alot of mod Dayz maps, Played alot of Arma 2 Dayz mod, and tbh might as well be rust, too easy getting geared and finding loot on modded, Dayz vanilla is more for survival "no respawning next to your dead body" your actions have consequences. I would suggest the Stalker mod server it's more vanilla but plenty of run and gunning.
Honestly the only thing that keeps me off vanilla is the lack of a proper base locking tool. Something simple like a latch, lock, and key would be fine to keep thinks simple. Or a standard combination lock. The dials are to flawed for the really dedicated.
You should have ran straight to riffy got ur self a gun you don't need an NBC suit in riffy yea you will get gas sick but you hide the stuff and get a berinzino spawn

Why do I enjoy playing official servers? Because I like the surviving aspect of dayz more than pvp - don't get me wrong. I have no problem with pvp but the game has so much more than that. The only difficulty is to find a server with that kind of players. Because everybody is playing it as an open world shooter but that isn't the only way to play it. Everything is more earned, fights have more meaning because you could lose everything you collected for so many hours. It feels harder if you lose, there are not many games that give you those feelings.
Groups are a thing on offishal I'm in a 10 man group I play offishal for the challenge I started community then went to offishal and haven't left since

Certainly understand if you don’t as I’ve transitioned away from vanilla also due to lack of content, even having a proper code lock as opposed to the 3-4 dials makes the game better. Very tiresome just clicking dials all day to get in and out of your base..

Peepee boys are scared of night, adversity, so they won't play it how the amazing devs decided the game should be! Mellenials want everything Givin to them N don't want any hardship! There was no option to stream Mario bros, besides we had chores, N played outside all day N only played video games when forced inside! Unless weather was trash, we were outside, pickup games, riding bikes, begging mom N dad for 18 hole money to play golf, video games were a blast, but only when we were forced inside! Vanilla way better, survive, disease, cold, food, dark nights, way more fun, when ur nuggets drop N u grow up you will too. Fps cod, boring same thing over N over, dayz rust, never know!!!!

If you are getting bored in a game that is meant to be played as it is..go and play rust, a PVP game, not dayz which is a survival game!
