Yes, he did. But just cuz he did that doesn't mean everyone needs to. If others take offense to her speaking about her new faith that isn't her fault. Don't condemn her for what you perceive as her youth in the faith. Let people be! If she isn't leading her formal life AND if she is proclaiming Jesus as Lord, isn't that a WIN?

    • @salomekamau5380

I don't agree, respectfully that Paul left the spotlight. He was directed to go to a believer for His eyes to be open, because God wanted the Christians then to accept Him for he had persecuted the church. Nala didn't persecute the Church, God called her in state to be a witness in her state. Why hide a light under a bushnel/bucket. We should pray for her because the devil is not happy because her story brings people to Christ.
To tell her to go out of the spotlight is to affirm Christ has no power to maintain the sanctification He started in her. Do we really think God is weak? She can stumble and you and I and us all. But as we will all sin from time to time, our future sin or present or past sin is already covered.
The prayers we should already be praying for her should have began long ago. If we hoist her as a celebrity, we are the problem. That is major projection. And since it's not what all Christians are doing. It's a no. Issue. And those hoisting her, we pray for them too.
Nala should not be given a way that is "better for their sanctification procedure." Ally Beth, I watch you and respect you, but we have to trust that the Holy Spirit is able to guide better than our opinions. Otherwise we are saying that the Faith we profess is so weak, has no power to sustain.
And she definitely like any other Christian needs brethren to walk with her. But no more or less than any other new believer. That is really just reducing Christ, when we look at the outer ie people's outlook and decide how they should lead their salvation. So long as they work it out (not with us) with fear and trembling, they'll be fine. And Nala's story dramatic to us, not Christ. Sin is sin is sin. There's rejoicing in heaven when one comes to Christ, no one there says...oh this is big, this is dramatic, same same blood of Jesus Christ, same effect.
The difference is he who is forgiven much loves much. Imagine you were busy in the world, and you get Freedom in Christ and then you have to be less busy, hide away. Now we will enter the conundrum of deciding for her what that period of time is. It's crazy. Weeks, months, years? How many? Who is keeping tabs? Or is to keep tabs. Some people do go away. And that's okay. If God leads. The problem is when we think that we know what is better for her. If she chooses to do so in future that's okay. But to do it because we think so. Is sad. I hope she looks to Christ for that direction. That's all that matters.

Totally see your perspective, but let’s focus on rejoicing for her salvation. Paul had to earn the trust of Christians at that time because they were questioning whether or not he was trying to infiltrate them in order to gain info to kill them, since he had been actively persecuting and killing Christians until his encounter with Jesus. That of course is not in question in this woman’s situation. Praying that the Holy Spirit will guide her.

I'm a baby believer only 6 months. My change was very transformative and dramatic. I'm taking my time to reading and praying with the Lord. When He tells me to share my testimony or a message, I obey Him whether people agree or not. At about 3 months into my walk, I was asked to pray for someone. I didn't feel ready to do any of those things. The Lord works in His own way and timing. I can't comment on this story as I am not God. There are two things I see in play here. One is that God can and does transform wondrously and has taken those that seemed farthest from Him and used them mightily. Another is that this is just one kind of way that salvation can look. Sure, it's awfully exciting to see these spectacular transformations, and it is perfectly appropriate to praise God for it. But what we may often miss is that what we might call the conspicuous sinners aren't the only sinners out there. What is going cosmically when Christ saves someone is no less spectacular when He saves a small-time, lower profile, less conspicuous sinner. Just as we too often fixate on the conspicuous sins, we can easily and inappropriately elevate conspicuous transformations over those of more "ordinary" people in more "ordinary" situations. When we do this, we often throw people into a leadership posture when they need discipleship while feeding the self-doubts of lower profile believers, when they are often the ones that are suited and called to the essential work of ministry that doesn't speak in a loud voice or make headlines.

@@thedude9941 1Tim 3:6 - This verse adds one additional qualification to those given for elders in verses 1 through 7. New believers are not prepared to lead other believers. This involves more than just their spiritual knowledge. It also speaks to their spiritual maturity. As Paul warns, giving too much authority too early can result in arrogance. His phrasing indicates a believer who is too quickly placed into a position of leadership can become proud and fall into sin. Christians are not perfect and often continue to struggle with sinful habits after coming to faith in Christ.
Even the most mature believers wrestle with temptation (Romans 7:18-20). Even Jesus faced Satan's temptations (Matthew 4:1-11), though He never sinned (Hebrews 4:15). More mature believers are better equipped to teach and equip members of the church. They are also more experienced in dealing with the temptations and stresses of the Christian life. And, they are more aware of their own shortcomings, so they are less likely to become arrogant. For these reasons, a person who is new in their faith should not be given spiritual authority over others. (Got Questions Ministries)

When the disciples were called by Jesus they were commanded to spread the gospel to the whole world, so when I hear what this woman is doing with her platform, I fully believe she is doing exactly what the Bible says to do. We don't have to " wait and grow" and then spread the gospel". While growing is definitely important and comes with the relationship, that doesn't make us then "qualified" to spread the gospel. I believe you can share the gospel immediately , and will most likely feel compelled to (knowing the stakes of people's souls being on the line). When I found Jesus and he lifted the vail off my eyes I told everyone who would listen to me about him. She has a mega platform to spread the gospel. She'll make mistakes yes and she'll mature in her faith and we all can pray that God gives her wisdom. I just believe us christians are commanded to spread the gospel. I can't imagine God being upset that she wants to tell the world about him, given the whole message of the gospel is Jesus saving us and then to spread the news of what we have in Christ. I'm happy for her and grateful she's been saved. I know growth is important, but not more important than sharing the news of Jesus to people who are lost. Growth will come and yes us christians can pray for her and her ministry to be led by Jesus and sound scripture.

There are numerous instances if people professing Christie discipled and not being grounded in the word and then getting the spotlight snd not only harming themselves spiritually but misleading others.
Sometimes by holding unsound doctrine snd sometimes by having sun in their life snd other believers see this and think it is okay ti act this way.
Paul after conversion was set aside for 14 years before dong some of his most influential ministry.
Just because someone gets saved dies not mean they are equipped for ministry of leading others in the faith.
Not sure if other countries have the same problem but we tend to think an athlete or entertainer who is saved us some how to lead in the church rather than an elder who meets the biblical qualifications snd has walked with God for years.

I believe that she is ABSOLUTELY right to outwardly express the change that has happened in her life since she accepted Christ. Yes, Saul/Paul took two to three years to prove himself before he became the first Missionary, but he didn't take that long to share his testimony. He started talking about what happened on the road to Damascus as soon as he arrived in Damascus. Obviously, Nala needs to take time to grow and mature in her faith before she enters any sort of ministry role, and from what I've observed, she's already been doing that, but that doesn't mean that she should be quiet about it in the mean time. That's just my opinion.

There is a part of me that sincerly agrees. But sharing her testimony now would perhaps leave a greater impact than waiting until whatever level of Christian maturity is seen in her later down. And who determines how mature she must be before testifying? Surely that decision should left up to the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless I hope that she is surrounded by people who will help keep her grounded in spite of all the public social media exposure.

It's a wait and see. If Christians feel compelled to they should pray for her as they would any new believer. Jesus also told us to 'test the spirits". I believe as Christians we are commanded to do both. And lastly... I believe it was RC Sproul who said "God made penitents before he made divines". We should all strive to remember that. ✨🙏🏼✨

She could also be a stumbling block for people who are addicted to pornography. A struggling person could be at a weak point and her talking about her pornography past, is just a few clicks away. Thank the Lord she has been saved, but sanctification is done in secret with the Lord.

    • @gavingrant9121
      @gavingrant9121 3 місяці тому

I disagree with your point. Based on your reasoning no one who did or struggled with porn should talk about it because it can cause someone struggling to be tempted. Nah. Millions have been held captive by this industry. She should talk about how God delivered her from it not hide His goodness in her life because of someone's untamed lust.

There are details between her and God that are only between her and God. How about we stop questioning her authenticity and just pray for her as well as ourselves. Sanctification is an ongoing process that occurs for EVERY believer and follower of Jesus Christ.

I don’t think the fakeness people are getting is in her faith. I don’t think anyone’s doubting her love for Christ. I think what people don’t trust is whether she’s fully put that life behind her. You can sense she maybe hasn’t totally left it behind her by the makeup, the hair, the demeanor, the money, the fame…I think that’s what it is…but it comes with her growth in the Lord.

I'm assuming people are knocking down her virtual door for interviews. I found the one she did with Michael Knowles very well done, powerful even. I don't think it's wrong to accept a few choice interviews to explain yourself, especially as she was a semi public person before (having had clips on the whatever podcast gone viral). I don't think she's taking advantage of people's interest in the genuinity of her conversion, but rather using it as an opportunity to make Christ's name great. I have only seen her give him all the glory. She has also been very gracious towards her parents, even though she is obviously still very hurt. I pray that they will see the sincere change in her and their relationship will ultimately be restored.

I think we have to remember that there are mortal sins and lesser sins. This lady hasn’t committed a mortal sin and it isn’t even clear the doing pornography is a sin. In God’s eye, she has acted immorally frequently and for a few years. I can see God forgiving her easily, but I don’t think this makes her good wife material.

Considering alot of people who call themselves Christians think a woman like this can never be saved or redeemed by Christ, I'd argue testimonies like this are important.
I can't tell you the amount of "christian groups" I've seen men who struggle with sexual sin and lust and fornication having all the mercy and understanding in the world for other men who struggle, while simultaneously putting a woman's worth on her virginity and condemning former sex workers, or just women who were in fornication, or even women who are victims of rape as "irreparable and unsalvagable".
That points to how important and needed these testimonies are- Christ can redeem *anybody*, and to beleive he can't is a spirit of unforgiveness and hypocrisy, especially when many of the men ready to throw stones have somehow found forgiveness for their own sexual sins.
God warns us, Judge not, lest ye be judged. And we are also told to forgive others because he had the mercy to forgive us even when we don't deserve it.
God is not happy with people who call their sexual sins forgiven while looking on others like this former only fans creator calling them unredeemable, when the truth is, one makes the p*rn, the other faps to it- both are the same sin. the people that can't find forgiveness for former sexworkers often consumed their content, or similar content, yet somehow find forgiveness for themselves. That's hypocrisy and God will hold them to the standard of unforgiveness they hold a former sex worker to- and that means they can absolutely lose their salvation over that.
