  • The FCS II system has been designed to perform at the highest level by seamlessly connecting 3 essential elements in surfing; the surfer, the surfboard and the fins. When paired with fins from the new FCS II Essential Series, it's now possible to install and remove your fins in seconds, without the need for any screws or tools.
    What you'll find when you ride the new FCS II system is more speed, more drive, more acceleration, and most importantly more response from your board. This equates to better surfing, and you'll be in the line up faster.
    Our team riders have given the new FCS II system their personal tick of approval, which is validation from the best surfers on the planet.

    Amazingly versatile system - works great and is incredibly easy to use. I was riding a quad the other day and a mate a tri - out the back we swapped out my 2 rear fins into his board and his single into mine in about a minute - so good. Congratulations on a great system you guys!

    Got them on my Firewire Vanguard, I didn't surf hardcore big waves but I was still scared that they might pop out, so I bought the screws along in case.
    No problem with them so far :)

    seems like they would pop out easily if scraped on a rock or reef even sand in the wrong direction????

    Hi, the FCSII system has a high fin retaining force (around 12kg/26Ibs) and fins cannot be removed from the system by placing force on the front or side of the fin (i.e. the direction of forces applied to the fin during surfing). A fin can only be removed from the system by applying an upwards force to the rear of the fin.

    Our team guys haven't been busting them out and they have been surfing places like Tavarua, Teahupoo and Hawaii etc. The only way to knock one out is to hit it really hard from the back of the fin. If this happens the best result is to have the fin come out. ie Filipe in France. If you're worried just screw it in as well.

    Interesting .. .have you noticed the footage used in this was older than the FCS II product. Seems like they just took the best cutback and roundhouse sections and edited it to this. I have both FCS and Future fins on my boards and can't say I had any issues with screwing them in and out. So what's the verdict on the new materials, all that for the $$?

    Product Manager explaining the concept to engineers on Day 1 of the FCS II project:
    "Ok listen, guys. We need to completely eliminate the need for tools to install the fins. Oh - the system should also probably be backwards compatible... with tools. And you could use tools on the new ones too if you want, and screw them in anyway if customers don't trust your design. But make sure it works without them really good. And... go."

    It's not quite as simple as the video. I'm having a lot of trouble getting my FSC2 fins into their boxes. Is there a lubricant which might help?

    It's called good marketing bro. They aren't going to sell fins if they don't talk it up a little bit...

    I bought a Firwire board with FCS II system it is not that easy to put it or remove. In order to release the fins you need to gently tap with your hand.

    What happens if u dont use the tab infill kit?

    • @FCS_Surf
      @FCS_Surf  6 років тому

      Hi Nico, older style FCS 1 fins will work fine without the infill kit. The kit however provides a better fit.
