The fact they went back 6 months later is SO AWESOME!! Also that guy was actually being normal, didn't feel scripted or quiet and awkward. Superb video! thanks!
Omg, they actually went back and looked at how it turned out
Haha 😆 I know I just seeded and fertilized mine And I guess I'm just sort of trusting blindly that it's going to work. Although the video I watched before this said do it in the fall and do the compost first then the seed then the fertilizer so completely backwards from this video
So this is what turning 30 feels like
Too fucking real dude.
Wait til you get 40. Pratically living at ace hardware ,home depot, and lowes.. Ans yeah I got me a riding lawnmower
Antonio Montgomery Almost 50 & I finally caved in to accept I have to start watching grass videos lol
Yup lol im 34 n i LOVE landscaping lol
Why am I here to early 26 lol
I want to borrow Roger on the weekends.
Thanks rodge
Problem...solution...prevention. LOVE this video! Most of the videos I’ve seen are just about fixing the problem. This guy explained prevention and living in Colorado where it snows one day and feels like early summer the next, this completely explains what those brown patches are in the shaded areas.
I love Roger's accent. I could watch him tell me about lawns all day.
“We ‘ah snknow errrrly in decemba”
-rahdga
Finally one where we see the AFTER
I am a first time home owner and I am learning so much..
Come for the lawn tips. Stay for Roger's accent.
Smaaat
Thanks Rog! I love it. Wish he could do some videos on Florida landscaping lol. The grass is a whole different animal!
Aight.
I love New England
When I visited Boston MA, I asked the waiter for a glass of water. He had no idea what that was until I said wata.
I know I'm old when I find myself here
Bro Bro omfg I'm dying dude when I read your post, because the veracity and I'm laughing so hard altho it's just me and this lackluster actually motley aggregate-type lawn top heavy on the Bermuda the dandelion the foxtail but when freshly mowed and edged, and lit by porch light, at night the resemblance to turf is undeniable.
I'm 19 lol idk what to think of myself
Well that my life as i know it gone. Im watching this with interest too...deep sigh.
Me too. But I must be the female version bc when I came from a gardening comment... I just thought that's for old ppl. At least I'm not the only person who thinks this stuff. Although, I did take a while to cut a certain part of my grass. The landlords never told us what sections we have. Of course I have the most land... 😒, That I don't need.but so I cut it. It rained. It turned brown. Its now stuck in the ground. And so I think I pretty much killed the grass. Tis why I'm here. There was like branches growing outta there :/. Wever, I'm out in the country. I don't think anyone truly cares
I used to watch this with my dad when I was a tot... Watching this now almost every other day while fixing up my house, I realize I'm the same age my dad was back then.
Rooaahhhggg, this laauunn looks wicked pissaahh
My grass is completely brown. I tried to restore it by removing bad weeds and watering it twice a day for about one week with no result. This video is a great advice for restoring grass. Thanks!!!
I am young, just nothing else to look at that puts a smile on my face like Rogers accent. A surprise bonus in this upload with an after picture.👍
Decembah moistah last yeah. Good time of the yeah to seed a lawn. Fertilizah. Pour some into the spreada. Twenty-fowah promotes root growth ovah heah.
🌳 This is such a great video, this one inspired so many of my own lawn videos. Thanks Roger!
I'm watching this again just for that Maine accent, no only kidding, I've got a big job tommorrow and after I want to propose a re-seed, so catching up on my tips from Rog. He's the man.
that is a boston accent
I like that they showed the result
I love Roggaaaaar! He's the king of staaaaartttttttaaaaaaa fertilizer!!!
Fertilizaa!
Freaking Yankee!!!!🤣🤣🤣
Thanks Roggg
*staahhtaahhh
I love his Boston accent🙏👍
Roger is a legend!
2018 I tried this the way he shows in the video with Home Depot items, that really works 🤘 I had dead grass before. Now new grass is growing up. You should try this
Which items did you use ?
This guy is the best! He reminds me of my old coach in high school.
was Dennis Hastert your HS coach?
Brilliant video - I've watched loads and this has been the most informative in the shortest time! Thank you!
I never imagined I'd become a Dad and get excited about regrowing my lawn.
My local store doesn't sell staaahta fertilizer. Can I use starter fertilizer instead?
you'll also need a seed spreedah
+aguyandhiscomputer that's right. My focking yad is gonna be wicked ahhsome.
lmao!
Go Pahhhts!
I'm in TEARS right now 😂
it's mainly caused by improper sharpened mower blades, you need a clean cut on your grass or infection can set in especially on a new lawn. Not so much on a lawn that has a good root structure. In fact in the upper north you want to seed in late fall, so the seed can germinate over the winter and build a strong root structure
Wow, he put down a crazy amount of grass seed. Looks great.
THUMBS UP! I tried this method a few weeks ago and my lawn is sprouting up!! I didn't use a rototiller, just a hoe to loosen the soil. If you have digger dogs, I'd suggest fencing it off or putting chicken wire over the new grass until it's fully sprouted.
Gotta have that staaaahta fertilizer
And the duo gets to do it all over again next spring.
Wow, that lawn came out beautiful!
Finally a follow up on a lawn care video!!! Thanks!!!!
I like when he calls him Rog.
They showed the results! Wow!
Awesome presentation! Some of the best content and method delivery I have seen on any subject.
This guy reminds me so much of the hosts of Car Talk. Love the videos.
I followed all the steps today and reseeded my lawn. I hope it works.
Roger is THE MAN!!!
OMG...thanks so much for posting this! I cannot wait to fix my lawn.
The follow up to this was great. As always, great information TOH!
Love that Boston accent.
Love the follow-up. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks Rawjuh
I think I was more excited about that privacy fence! !
hoooly smokes roger and drew. i just did this and it was WORK! i was a true non stop sweat factory in our humid and sunny environment. i’ll keep you posted and let you know how it goes, will make sure it’s watered daily. thank you for the phosphorus clarification on the fertilizer too. we had one that was 0 so I went back to the store, stating that “I saw it on UA-cam!” ha
Bored Millionaire what type of composite did u use
one that had cow manure in it + a little fertilizer. today is day 5 and tiny little grasslings have started popping up.
Update: been two weeks now and about 90% of the seeds germinated into little grasslings. Some areas are thick with growth, others thin. They’re about 2.25” tall.
I think gardeners and lawn care maintenance people get bad raps! Gardening really is a science! I appreciate how knowledge these people are. Up there with car mechanics! Lawn mechanics!
I LOVE you guys! What a great show!!!
Roger to tha rescue!
Good advice for my lawn problem
Thanks for your lessons. That helps out a lot.
Thanks Rodge!
Rodge out here destroying the game. What can this man not do?
Great simple tip. Thanks
4:25 lawn goals lol thats how i want my grass to look. I close on my house on the 28th.
Excellent video and results!!
Thanks Rog
Love their northeastern accents. Like Bostonians!
Awesome thank ya so much I have the same problem I live in Bear Valley Springs California
I just fired Tru-Green, thanks for the info Mr. Cook!
Pretty good job. NIT: At the end you said to stop adding fertilizer. It's better to add fertilizer in late fall for a an early spring green-up. The grass will take it in, but it won't speed growth up once it gets cold, so after your final mow, you don't need to worry about it
just put some stahtah fehtilizah in the spreadah
Thank you very much for your amazing video.
Wow really learned allot from watching your videos thanks 🙏🏼
I watch these for the acting.
Lol
Quality acting, they learnt their lines well.
And the Oscar goes to ...
When did the fence come?!?! 🤣
Lmao
Roger says at 2:38 that any seed you can see thats not covered with compost will not germinate. I don't know about that. I think if you keep the soil that the seed is sitting on moist, the seed will remain moist. Plus in another episode he and Kevin are using Scotts EZ Seed where there is a lot of seed you can see when you're done throwing it on, and the grass grew in thick. And grass in the wild grows when the seed falls on the ground uncovered.
Thanks Roger
1:40 "Stata Fertilizer" LOL East coast dudes talk funny LOL
That's not the entire East Coast. That's New England/Boston
good work rodge
that's nice, doing this grows fence too.
Great video! I bought a house last spring and the lawn was in bad shape with a lot of thatch, got it cleaned up and lawn came back descent that summer, but this spring it’s not looking so good. Gonna get someone to come and power rake and aerate, I think I need a shade/sun blend like here. My lawn that gets shade cover through most the day is doing alright, but the sun side is doing crummy.
Awesome videos dude !
Good to know how it's done. Thanks.
I keep my tall fescue at 4 inches and apply Milorganite after thanks giving. And 3 more times after winter and my lawn stays green all year.
I'm gonna use that for my lawn
I love that Roger always grabs two handfuls of compost before praising it. I do the same 💀
Thanks Roger!!👍😉
This is owesume roggeahh. Ma yad looks amazing
Great video thanks!
stahdah ferdillizah - love it
"you could help me, Drew!"
😂
Also, look at that New Fence!
his massachusetts accent is a dream come true
Thanks Rog!
The spreaduhh haha
I have brown spots like that on my lawn.
Great video.. thanks for the help i will take this advice
Found this 3 years later..: did it work lol
LoL no I paid my lawn guy to put new grass in
Tansel Florida 😂😂 I may end up doing the same thing; thanks!
Great video
dam I wish I can repair my grass to that condition. I know now where I mess up at though. great video! thanks.
Great! Love it! Thanks!
Thank you for the breakdown in your description! However, you mentioned Snow Mold in the video, but not in the description. Why do some yards get it, and the next door does not? Depending on fertilization, and how short you cut it for the last time? Thank you for your expertise!
great video thank you
i'd die for a lawn like that. living in the NW it generally doesn't rain in the summer which basically is the death nail for grass.
That's BASTID.
Tom Messig "death knell"
There must be a strain of grass meant to thrive in low-water conditions. Find it, follow the tips above, and then sprits it lightly every other morning. :)
This is my life now. I guess it is for the best.
Thank you!!!
this is a better video, get to see the results and happy punter.
The result at the other side of the house? Where are the trees :-)
Sven Roofthooft owner put up a fence
just 2 bros working together, :D
