got the switch edition for mania... (retro gaming on the go that can also be played on tv is the best choice for me) digital... couldn't get the Collector's edition but it's ok. having a blast with it... but those special emerald stages are really hard... the blue ball stages are easy to get beat though.
I found one in Greenhillzone in a small cave upper route... another one in chemical plant Z1 where the water start rising you go all the way to the bottom and there is another one... and another one in Studiopolis Z1 near a ramp... you can see it while cruising the lower path. it's not hidden... and that is where I am right now. there has to be way more.
I beat two so far, they are really fun if you know what you're doing. Just gotta keep collecting rings (they're your time) and the orbs will make you go faster if you get enough.
That was the closest of close calls I've ever seen on that boss fight. I really want to congratulate you on your success on all of the original 3 sonic games. Now, let us prepare ourselves to finally play Sonic Mania and defeat Eggman/Dad once and for all!
The death Egg boss takes 8 hits, because you can only hit him from underneath. Or whem you are upside down, spindash into this spike things to throw them on Robotnik. Lava Reed Boss is the only Boss which takes 12 hits, First phase of Giant Death Egg Robot 18 hits, all other bosses need 8 hits (per phase in some cases)
I bet i know cobi`s reaction when he finds hydrocity on mania "OH MAH GAWD!!! PRAISE THE LORD" or he will do something different because that is what he would say when something good happens.

well it was nice to see the classics in one marathon VERY nice and cobis questions what is your favorite zone in the 3 games mine is sonic 1 marble zone (the music and layout) sonic 2 metropolis zone (due to difficulty) sonic 3 launch bay zone I think it was called (because of the climactic feeling only to introduce more zones) sonic & kniggles lava reef zone (because of the bright and clutch feelings I had)

When I beat this game for the first time (i mean almost) i didn't know that you had to mash the button on doomsday zone so i just held it i always ran out of rings when i was close to defeating him so i never defeated him after watching some lets plays then i saw that they were going so fast then i tried combinations and more then i came to the conclusion of mashing the button then i found that i had to mash the button so i mashed it like a mad man then i beat this game for the first time ever.
I know what you mean, these sonic games are frustrating, like when you are saving up rings for hyper sonic, and then you are one ring short, then something jumps on you making you rage quit.
I got so much respect for Cobi. He took the time get this out for us in time before Mania. #CobitheGoat
