DIY MARATHON ALERT! For this week's video I decided to compile some of my favorite DIYs that I created for essentially FREE! Sure, some supplies are required but most of it is about bringing the outside, in, OR grabbing things out of your recycle bin to make some aesthetic home decor! I know for me, the winter months in home decor can pose a challenge because everything feels so empty after taking down all of the holiday decor. But budgets might also be a little tighter due to the holiday festivities so I thought what better time to post some DECORATE FOR FREE or TRASH TO TREASURE content. I appreciate the framed piece of fabric as your little memory of a lost one. I have a scrap of fabric that reminds me of my mom, that I just couldn't toss out. Now I know what to do with it. I'm going to insert in a picture frame and float a photo of my mom and me over it. When I see it I will whisper, "God bless you, mom, I miss you."
That sounds wonderful. It is so hard to lose a loved one so any little thing we can do or make to bring them back into our daily lives is essential. May your mom be resting peacefully 🙏🏻❤️

Wow. Such great ideas! We need a home tour! You have done a great job with creating things that no matter what they start as, end up as such a good addition to your esthetic. My knotty branches are sprayed gold and are placed on the top of my book shelf, looking like they are growing up the wall.
I have never seen anyone with such a great eye for repurposing everyday items to reflect incredible high end decor. Everything you do looks as good or even better than its high end inspiration. I just discovered your channel and am binge-watching. I can't get enough!

I was getting ready to pitch a bunch of our sons trophies, now I'll keep the marble from the few with marble. Thanks for all of the great dupes. Love the faux marble box. Looks expensive.
Marble contact paper could work? I think trophies are too sentimental. Maybe use the whole trophy as a bookend?
@IdolEyes84 They are sentimental, but we raised 3 sons who played various sports. When they moved out I told each of them to take what they wanted to keep. Of course, I'm stuck with 2 full boxes. haha

Spectacular compilation! I'm so glad I watched because I missed some of these in your previous posts. I would caution you when using clear glass to store oil and vinegar, though. Light can negatively affect the quality of those products.

I have to echo what the other commenters have said. You have the best DYI vids on UA-cam.
While some DYI videos are cute, they also can run the risk of…dare I say, tacky. Lol! All of yours look very high end. I loved the leather tray idea and already have a purse picked out to try this.
But question, I loved the candle with the leather sleeve you placed on top. I’ve searched the internet for this! Tried Target, eBay, etc. Do you know where I could find this? Might have just been seasonal. Thanks for a great video!

So very sorry for the loss of Olly, I recently had to say goodbye to my bestie “Baxter” after almost 13 years of him being a daily joy In mine and my daughters lives. The heartbreak is very real and I will be framing one of his prized bandannas, as another way to be reminded of him, such a lovely idea!.
I love the way your mind works! And you have a great sense of style. When my late husband and I were first married in the early 1970s, our whole house was furnished like this. We picked up furniture off curbs, made brick and board bookcases, like all our friends did, and in those days you could freely take wooden crates from the KODAK dump, which, with the addition of hinges, brass corners, and hasps, made great end-tables and coffee tables, which doubled as extra storage. Here are a few projects I had done after he passed in 2016. First, I let my three adult sons take whatever ties they wanted, and then had the remainder made into a bolster pillow. Had his corduroy shirts made into hugging pillows for myself, and each of the kids and grandkids, and had his T-shirts made into a quilt. I was trying to add pictures here, but I guess I can’t?
