Tim It took me about 2 years to feel comfortable with the Scandi cast. I just recently started working on Skagit the last couple of months. Thanks for the great videos. I watch em over and over😂. I recently commented that my top loop was flying up. Today I noticed my right arm though pinned to my side was flaring to the right added was I wasn’t going back far enough and last I wasn’t snapping the bottom hand into my stomach. With those corrections I was getting a more direct 180, bigger D loop and more power on the forward cast without adding power plus the top loop stayed down probably because I was going back further and snapping the forward cast. Anyway big kudos to you for the great vids.

Saw you out there the other day but wasn’t sure it was you! Next time I’ll come say hello. Loved watching you in real life. Goals for sure

I learned from Edward's videos, instantly application of power, during the sweeping, a quick start and slow down in the end, hold the rod in the fire position ,wait for the D loop form and load the rod, then a foward cast.I can feel that deep load on the rod, cast a beautiful foward loop and distance, but if I make a continuous cast, don't wait for the D loop anymore, can not feel that load, always fail.

Maybe I make the same fault at 2:30. So,I think there is a little pause in the continuous motion ,just a kind of feeling of rythm.

@@LineSpeedJediTimRawlins Your videos really helped me a lot! ,so much details! I think Ed's videos are more his personal casting style, sometimes difficult to learn and imitate, but you do it standardly.

Solid advice and thanks Tim. I have zero rhythm, can’t dance to save my life and it seems I’m one huge ball of onion but I’m getting there slooooowly and believe it or not I’m loving it.

Your vids are great man - thank you... Do you have or if you would do one with your back up against some obstruction, would be great

Does the same advice fit for lighter, trout spey tackle? I feel like any acceleration in my sweep results in poor casting with my 360gr and lighter lines/rods.

Good point. Go easy and make sure your rod tip path is spot on even if it takes some body watching or vidoing yourself
