Thank you all for watching. At 3:04 I misspoke 😖 The diagrams here are correct. What I meant to say was, if speed of sound increases in the second medium the angle of transmission will be more than the angle of incidence. And visa versa. Apologies for that!

If at all confused I explain it correctly in talk #7 of this series (refraction) 🙂

😂😂😂😂… I had to go back to your video on refraction to digest this “new” concept… I wish I had seen your apology before 😂😂😂😂😂

Awesome videos! I think you may be misspeaking during the refraction explanation. Your explanations about the sound waves slowing down or speeding up seem to be backwards relative to the diagrams (c2>c1; c1>c2)

Hello, thank you so much for your videos. please can you clear up the twinkling artifact? on radiopaedia, it says lower the PRF, but when you read the papers the website sites, they both say to increase the PRF?!? any help would be great

But the enhancement artefact can also be due to "falsely" applied Time Gain Compensation no?

    Dr Michael,
I am a dedicated fan of your Radiology Tutorials on UA-cam and greatly appreciate the quality of your content.
I am writing to seek your permission and guidance regarding a project I have in mind. I would like to translate and dub your ULTRASOUND PHYSICS series videos into Chinese. To make your invaluable educational content more accessible to Chinese-speaking students on Bilibili, a popular video-sharing platform in China. By providing Chinese voiceovers, I aim to bridge the language gap and facilitate their understanding of the complex concepts you explain so effectively.
Please rest assured that I will respect your intellectual property rights and adhere to the following guidelines:
    1. The translated videos will not be monetized on any platform, including Bilibili.
    2. Proper attribution will be given to you as the original creator, both in the video description and within the video itself.
    3. I will include a disclaimer stating that the videos are translations and your original content can be found on your UA-cam channel.
Your guidance and approval are of utmost importance to me. If you have any concerns, suggestions, or specific instructions, I am more than willing to accommodate them. I eagerly await your response and look forward to the opportunity to share your exceptional work with a wider audience.

Thank you for the great video.
I just have a question regarding Snell's law.
You mentioned in the video that "if the speed of sound increases, we will get an angle of transmittance that is smaller than the angle of incidence"
but the diagram seems to show otherwise.
I've gone through the calculation via the formula and I think if the speed of sound increase in the 2nd medium, the angle should also increase.
Pls let me know if there's a mistake in my understanding. Thank you

    • @radiologytutorials
      @radiologytutorials  Рік тому

Hello. Not sure I did say that. If I did, do you mind letting me know when in the video so I can highlight the mistake for others? You’re right angle of transmission is higher than incidence of speed increases.
