I know as a viewer, I don’t watch makeup tutorials like I use to. I love your Saturday videos. I also like smaller, more realistic channels. I don’t need to see what someone is buying everyday of the week, because that’s just not me. Anyway, this look is beautiful and I need to try that mascara. I’m a stay at home mom with little ones and honestly I have unsubscribed to pretty much all of my “makeup channels” with the exception of channels like yours. Channels that I care for the person just chit chatting and talking about what’s happening in their life and what they’re into in that season of life. As sad as it is to say this I think of you as a friend and love hearing about things like your deck project - because me and my husband are doing that this week too! I’m so thankful to you tubers like you coming back and uploading and connecting - truly truly brightens my days!

I’d like to see what’s left after all that you’ve decluttered. These are always my favorite makeup videos to watch too. Love to see what people actually use vs what they were sent.
I am considering it. There is a substantial amount of makeup that has left my house.
pro trick : you can watch series on Flixzone. Been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.

I think we all go through stages of things. I bought so much makeup over the years. I am now older and I have been really decluttering since last year before COVID. My taste are different and I like simplicity now and only using what works for me. I had the largest Alexes drawers that were packed and now I bought a small lingerie chest, smaller drawers and a lot less drawers. I can’t believe I wasted so much money. I enjoy your videos and have watched very little of those makeup people. Especially when all that drama with all those makeup people happened. I started watching other things. Love how real you are and real talk. I can relate.
Thank you. Yes, life is a journey of discovering, learning and growing. Moving on from previous hobbies or interests isn't a bad thing--it's a sign of growth. I am happy with where I am in life and am diverting my channel into various types of content that I enjoy. Stay tuned for my current 'curated' makeup collection video coming this Saturday.
I got into UA-cam beauty videos when I was taking care of my late husband in the year of his serious illness. It was a safe get away from a very sad, stressful, confusing situation. I was not allowed to wear makeup while growing up at home, and then just didn’t for a long time. I really got into makeup in the years after my husband died. Now, I’m exhausted by it too. I know what I like and I’ve got it. I’m tired of hauls and the relentless frenzy about new products. For me it’s wasteful and excessive. Now I enjoy GRWM videos like this one when I watch beauty videos. I live alone and need more “companionship.” I do love makeup, but I’m enjoying lifestyle videos and cooking videos too. I completely get why you diversified your channel.

I have really lost my passion towards makeup in last two years. Somehow I still love makeup(specially blushes and Dior lipsticks) but I enjoy other things so much more nowdays(being in outdoor activities, cooking). I might put on makeup on maybe two days a week. And my makeup collection is overwhelming eventhough I have decluttered a lot. I agree that you kind of get lost to all the new stuff and then don' know what to do all of it😆. And that is kind of a sad situation. I have always liked your channel because I like to watch ordinary people and chitchat videos are my fave. I love to cook but here in Europe products are so different what to use. In everything in life you do you it is the only way to stay happy.
I completely agree, Henni. As we grow and learn, our interests change and evolve and that is completely okay. I still enjoy wearing makeup, it just isn't my sole focus, passion and enjoyment in life. I too love other things.

So I’m also from Wisconsin. I e always dreamed of living somewhere with a better climate. What has been your favorite place to live weather wise?
Hmmm, well , I will be the first to tell you that every place has pros and cons, even weather. It depends on what seasons are a must-have for you. Out of the places I have lived, New Jersey had the best 4 seasons. Colorado was cooler summers than New Jersey but not as warm. If you like winter, both had pretty calm winters. If you like warm and humid, Mississippi suits that bill. Texas is a mild climate except for summers. They are definitely hot. So not sure if that answers my favorite. I am not sure which of these is my 'perfect' choice since I didn't choose to live in any of these states. They all have their pros and cons.
I think hygiene videos and bath and body works videos are big on UA-cam right now. I know your bath and body works videos have gotten a lot of views. Probably not what you are into all the way but just information for you 💞 I guess because it’s what I’ve been watching now 😬
Well I did just go to Bath & Body Works this weekend so I will film that for this week!

That would be such an interesting video for you to make about all the mistakes you’ve made on your channel. I don’t watch makeup tutorials much at all. I watch videos like this when you are talking to us filling us in on other things.
