The difference is the memory size.And you can't put the white grand on Stage ex.Otherwise...same sound..

I actually think this is what so great about Nord. When Clavia release new hardware you don`t need too upgrade because of sound quality, since the nord sound library are available to all models. And because of this the Nord keyboards tends to hold their value extremely well.

I own the NS3 and my dad owns the NS EX.
I have to say, that the effect section of the EX, especially the Ringmodulator and the Delay did sound better on the EX compared to the NS3. I can't describe it but for me the Ringmodulator sounded smoother on the EX, and another thing is the Feedback knob of the delay. On the EX it was possible to make it feedback like forever, on the NS3 this is not possible even if the knob is turned to 100%.
Would be interesting, what made the difference, probably a cheaper circuit.
Did anyone else notice that?

How does the keyboard feel? i mean the action of the keys themselves. Is the stage 3 that much better in that area?

NS3 keybed is really realistic, but honestly I prefer the NSex dynamics

It’s not realistic at all if you compare it with acoustic grand pianos (or even uprights).The key are very light, and quite noisy compared to the real deal. But nevertheless, its a very fast action and somewhat feels like a compromise between organ-,rhodes- and pianoaction…
