I have recently acquired a 1996 DR350se. It was rebuilt and had around 7 miles on it when I bought it so it is still in the break in period. I dont know if it is normal but I am going max of 45 when I am all the way in my top gear. Is this normal? What RPM's are normal to run at once out of the break in phase? Thanks yall! Any info is appreciated. Just new to these Dualsports

That's not normal.. you should be able to hit at least 70mph with this bike. Your clutch could be slipping or you could have a compression issue. Do the rpms increase relative to engine speed?

@@mtnmotoadv Yeah, RPMs do increase relative to engine speed. I am also not going above 5000 RPMs currently and wonder if that is why I cant hit those speeds.

@@bradmiller5189 Sounds like you might have some compression issues. Whoever rebuilt the bike may have made a mistake somewhere along the line
