I have a Gamesir X2 Pro and X2 Bluetooth, they are nice and all but the Galileo being console like size makes it really tempting. If they make a black version I'll probably get it right away.
I sold my ps edition backbone and bought a g8 ..it's not even a contest the only thing backbone wins Is in software and for some reason cod mobile only supports backbone for native play with g8 you have to use janky overlay button mapping
I’m not sure but I believe I’ve seen videos on that. You can do a search for it on YT. I have a 15 pro max iPhone and an older samsung phone and this controller plays codm fine with no mapping involved.
Which of these will fit the iPhone 15 pro max with an Apple silicone case and back camera tempered glass without touching the flexing bar on the back and not a “tight” fit?
Alright time for clarifications. There are 2 models of the Backbone right now. V1 is compatible with older iPhones (14 and below) and V2 (which shadow released not long ago) is a USB type C model compatible with the iPhone 15 and other type C phones. Wording on this video makes you understand there is one model that's compatible with everything. The Backbone has a integrated 3.5MM jack and another USB C connector, you can charge your phone while gaming. Galileo on the other hand has a more console feel controller to it. It has the Xbox One/Series triggers. Uses hall effect sticks and has two extra mapable bottons on the back. It has no extra ports. The USB C port in the Backbone is stiff...which you gotta be more careful not to break it. The Galileo one moves up and down, which should protect it from tear and wear. The backbone has a lot better software support even with a dedicated app that turns your phone in a game hub, it even lets you know what gaming apps are compatible or not with it and you can even ask the devs to please work on compatibility from the app itself. So depending on your need, you might want one or the other.
@@CidPsy from the math ive seen, in reference to other controllers it does have heavy battery usage, but overall it barely makes a difference practically speaking
what shooting games are playing there please? Also are those games offline other than COD. I mainly need it when I am travelling more specific flying. Gr8 review. Thanks
The thing I will say is the G8 shows some clear latency in the turning and the backbone footprint is lower. I still think they should have added at least the Hal effect joy sticks on the backbone for the price
G8 is superior...plus it has back buttons... and can be modded to put in a tablet, also trhe face plate can be taken out to be painted and way more comfortable
I often read, but especially just under this video, that the Galileo g8 is better. But I guess we have to say that the new iPhones with USB-C just came out. So, i am not sure how serious I Can take all of these opinions. I mean, I dont know if or how much worse the old backbone (GEN1) was. Compared to the new one; the gen2 with USB-C (for new iPhone 15 series aswell) Sorry for my english. Might be Bad. Its not my mother Language. So please excuse me, if I did any (huge) mistakes in my comment.
Why is no one talking about how bad the gamsir software is, zero customer service, more bugs than a hobos underpants and it doesnt work with cod mobile natively
The Gamesir G8 excels in all aspects when compared to the Backbone One 2nd Gen. Its superior design, wider compatibility, advanced features, and flexible connectivity options make it the preferred choice for gamers seeking a high-quality mobile gaming controller.
Your copy pasted ad comment on every backbone vs galileo video (obviously you are a gamesir rep) is off putting. Should let a device quality speak for itself.
@@SToad I'm sharing my honest experience here. Watching a video comparing different handheld controllers for mobile devices didn't change my opinion. That's why I left a comment. While the Gamesir G8 handheld controller may not be as expensive as the Backbone V2, I think it's important for people to know about alternative options before making a purchase. A device alone cannot effectively demonstrate its quality. Can you explain how a device can prove its quality without any external factors? I'm not questioning your intentions, but I'm curious if you might be affiliated with another handheld company and trying to hide the availability of the Gamesir G8 in the market.

Yeah they should've made it black I'm not a fan of the Grey color
They released Gamesir X4, that brings all the stuffs that the Galileo G8 has and more improvements
They have a g8+ that’s Bluetooth. And it’s black
What games are those? Please
I got mine with a 15% discount they ALWAYS have. $70 for the Galileo is insanely good deal

My g8 works perfectly on codm without any button mapping. It’s just plug and play
@@keihamilton unless you have an Xbox controller paired you'd be the first I heard plug and play
@@gcforrealI’ve only ever had to go into the settings and hit enable controller support. The same with any Bluetooth controllers I’ve ever used.

Galileo is currently half the price of the Backbone here in Thailand. Looking forward to getting it in the post.

Don't these extend to fit the phone? Seen them use the Galileo with iPad and tablets.

The g8 has usb c passthrough and aux also
@@llamajoeteam Yep noticed much later xD I also saw that some people say the Galileo is battery usage heavy. But I cannot say anything on that front

Gr8 review.
Thanks
The zombie 1 I think that's dead trigger 2
If anyone still wondering, It's World War Z. Not a mobile game, so he is playing either through remote play or cloud.
G8 Galileo blows Backbone out of the park..
The Backbone has a better app though on iOS, that's about it.
Is the G8+ any different from the Galileo Model?

In my country galileo is 60$ and backbone is 70$ which i prefer but backbone is first gen so keep in mind
What zombie game is that you play on your iPhone?
whats the G A M E?
**Galileo also comes in black
Redmagic Shadow Blade 2 = GameSir G8 Galileo in black...
Whats that zombie game? I love it
can u use a phone case with the Game sir?
Yes, according to Reviews on Amazon.
Only if you have a thin silicone case or clear case. Nothing bulky is going to fit.
The Galileo needs to come out with a lightning port version so I can get that over buying a backbone
Why? Lightning is dead.
@@novakk86 yeah but I have a 12 pro max and wouldn’t want to blow money on an upgrade that wouldn’t benefit me that much.
