Thank you for this great informative video Michelle. What about selling the same product (like a photograph) in both limited edition (bigger size, better material, numbered and signed) and open edition (print on demand, smaller size)? Do you think it could be a good strategy?
I really enjoyed listening to this video. I have my fiance who has a long time flooring job but he also paints, makes bonsai trees, makes guitars, etc. Anyways, I am trying to get his artwork noticed and sold, I'm just new at this and have a severe TBI so it's been a struggle. Here is only a couple out of 50 or more paintings he has done, (which are taking up a lot of space in our house.) My name is Sherry Caldwell and his is Kevin Richardson. I'll put his name with the paintings on next message
Check out my creative mind during lockdown lol I been doing art my whole life so there is a lot Ps thanks for the tips i look forward to failing and learning lol . Its all part of the artistic process
That’s ridiculous as a self tought struggling disabled artist, to me I don’t care about the money . I don’t think art should be a business. I never went to college. My mother pulled me out of school around 10th grade because I was not getting the help I needed and work too hard for me .People still ignore and all I wanted is to tell my story and others story and get recognition when it comes to my original artwork. I will only use the money to create and sell more to help people and animals that need help .I do have a video how I’ve started painting and why . I’ve been painting sence I was a baby and I got better until after I left 10th grade , I’ve started posting my art . I never use ads like others stupidly do and do dumb things by going to college and use art just for money randomly and think you got to make things perfect or realistic or realism. I love art , I love expressing my feelings and for others. Art is not perfect just like no body is perfect not even an animal.I don’t be dumb telling others how to paint if there are so pretty and I don’t like it when people do that to me and won’t understand. Don’t like others force me to sell my original artwork when I can depart with me and can’t make it again. There my kids . Don’t like others telling me I have to this to be better and go. There cause if you don’t you won’t be this . I am trying to find ways to get recognition no matter if I’m selling art or not . I do use my art to spread awareness and message to the world too like what’s happening to the world . I’m thinking to do Shopify but afraid that I’ll get ignored, scammers /nft scammers will be there , fake customers that will also try to sign there name that’s still stealing art and and scam, and the money charge in places like this . How do you know what artist want if you do trail then get us to pay so much and charge you and take a lot of money from us or any one that wants a website and we get less what we make . All of you type of companies do this and it’s wrong . 0:53

Hi, Steph! Are you looking for someone to create and run an online store for you? I just want to make sure I'm understanding your question correctly so I give you the best advice for your situation.

With that being said, we have plenty of help documents that can assist you along the way. You can start your 14-day trial store here: bit.ly/2X1OnQK. Let us know what you think.
hey friend, amazing video, good job.I really appreciate your ability. Our company is a professional supplier in the Print on Demand industry, owning two factories in the US and China, may I know whether there are any chances to cooperate with you?
Not a bad video, but lemme summarize the entire thing before you spend time watching it. "Sell your art, and figure it all out along the way." There are no steps here or anything concrete.
@@leslieegling6511 yeah, sure. When I worked at one of the largest private galleries in the USA in NYC I learned that networking with other artists is a huge help. Get your work displayed at as many shows as you can through the folks you networked with. Post samples of your works everywhere online (watermark or include name). Share other people’s work so they share yours. Do an occasional give-away on your social media to drive buzz and always be kind. People remember your personality more than your art when they know you.
