She can really sing traditionally, but then they cut out almost all the music behind her and she turns up that resonance for Minnie Mode like the bridge of Uh Oh and the start of Scared To Be Lonely and it hits DIFFERENT. (edit: if they go in a double feature they should be together and you'll see why, but there's enough going on in them for each to get a double watch, no Nevies will mind). After the intensity of those my vote is for a follow-up video to unwind the pressure with I Luv U a b-side which is somehow both quirky and funky, and I'm The Trend a special clip on their channel for fans co-written by Minnie and Yuqi (with a Minnie rap!).

Soyeon placed in 20th, so she didn't make to debut lineup. This show aired in 2016, and then after this show, Soyeon join unpretty rapstar and placed 3rd. The quirky, fun, and cutesy vibes makes you fall for them more. -Yes, Uh-Oh is definitely a diss song to their haters (and probably fake fans) who are only there when they are succeeding, but will be gone once they fail. Thus Minnies said at the start "Hey, there's someone trying to get close to me. Yeah, I'm talking about you.". Just like in the current Soojin issue, people are saying that they "love" Soojin or IDLE, but are throwing hate towards them, and saying will not support them anymore based on unsure news. They are actually good in handling these using their art. They made a short series called "SECRET FOLDER". It contains some of the hates that they are receiving, and made fun out of those. Enough with the diss, some facts about Uh-Oh: - The fire IS real. Soyeon is actually worried and scared when they shoot it, on top of the fact that she is scared of heights. That's 2 worries at the same time. But when they played the part, Soyeon's face and composure became fierce. That is professionalism indeed. - They were shooting in a location (desert-ish part) where it was dusty, windy, and so bright, that Miyeon can barely open her eyes. You can notice her squinting on her solo parts. -Soyeon had challenges giving the vocal girls their parts, especially Minnie since she is in-charged of "Dreamy" vocals, which was on a opposite side of Hiphop. That's why the uh-oh parts on the bridge was given to her to bring out her dreamy voice.
Uh-oh is indeed a track against haters and all of people who look down on them. The hard part for Soyeon while creating this song is matching the (G)I-DLE style/other members vibes while doing a kind of hip-hop song (the first for the group). I hope more will come with more hip-hop/rap vibes. (BTW the mic was really on fire)

Yuqi singing "Shallow" by Lady Gaga is even better. Suits her as an artist. And Minnie singing "Gravity" by Sarah Bareilles is soooo~ pretty! Oh and for variety shows, most groups are asked to prepare something in advance, but sometimes things are done on the fly by request of the host. I believe they prepared this. Oh, and if you're into Soojin you should definitely watch her Ariana Grande 7 Rings spotlight by Studio Choom. To me one of the biggest standouts is that the girls don't take vocal lessons, it's all natural talent.
@@SinghReacts they do take lessons: while they were trainees obviously then... after they found a specific vocal teacher in order to keep their natural voice while singing, as well explained in the linked video of the previous comment (Sofa Away program with Nada) ;) One of the reason I am attracted to (G)I-DLE is their natural voice, own tone, each member is really recognisable. One of the downside in kpop idol world: they tend to teach high pitch singing for female singers (the higher the better... but for voice it could actually damage it...) that is why lot of kpop girl groups sound so close almost the same, not really distinguishable, fortunately not all girl groups have this problem but the majority does...
Yea of the groups I’ve stanned so far I don’t think any have that issue of all sounding the same. But I do have a bias for vocally gifted singers and groups and I’m a big fan of female singers dipping into their lower registers if they are capable
