Can't believe this worked! Fortunately, I wasn't locked out of my suitcase but simply couldn't lock it. Looked for the difference as you described and it took less than a minute to figure it out. THANKS!

Hard to believe but worked for me! I couldn’t find a coloured tab like the lock in the video but on my lock there was a distinct (being generous) black point where I could no longer view the spring under the number cog. I set all cogs to the same point and followed the remaining advice as per the video above. Best of luck to those poor souls stuck in this situation.
