Based on other reviews, Oluv mainly, I got the Doss Soundbox XL today and it sounds amazing! I can't stop smiling! 😊 First, the 'bad' news, it's made of plastic but doesn't look plastic... matte finish. The volume control doesn't sync, it is not rugged or waterproof, more of a home portable and it doesn't take calls but it does go silent when you get a call or when you have any other audio coming from your phone, like UA-cam or any other site and of course, don't drop it on the ground! The rest is ALL beyond good! The grille is metal and the button console is brushed steel with black round glossy buttons that click easy. Even better than I expected! No hum or rattle! This speaker handles ALL recordings really well! I dunno how! My stereo, which is really excellent, can't do that! Even the highs are good. The bass is great!! And wired to my old iPod Classic, it really sounds deadly! And MUCH louder too! Maybe 50% volume roughly, on the speaker, is enough. On my phone, I keep the volume loud and control it on the speaker. I can use phone volume buttons too. I have my entire cd collection on that iPod (mp3) so it's great, plus I'm yet to buy and try a micro SD card. That may be softer than the iPod as then there would be no preamp so to speak but the speaker is more than loud enough, so... JUST BUY IT!
thankyou for this review..coz inwas going to buy the zealot..and i was not satisfied for that review coz i love the booming bass and good sounds...now thanku for this review and this is the one Doss im going to order🤝❤
I am purchasing my 3rd Doss soundbox XL. Why? The first soundbox I purchased still works great, but it doesn't have TWS. I believe that's the one you're reviewing. Let me tell you what! I now have two soundbox XLs. The sound in True Wireless Stereo on the Doss soundbox is incredible! If your viewers go to purchase a soundbox in 2024 make sure you ae not purchasing the older version as it doesn't have TWS.
Best0nlineGamer I have never personally listened to the Aomis but I know it does not come close to the Doss Soundbox XL. I have a few of these speakers and this speaker is incredible!!!!!!! This speaker is so bare bones but they put everything into the sound. Having an actual subwoofer instead of passive radiators for bass is a big difference. If you love bass you will love this.
Kris Keilman good thing I went with that one instead lol, took it on our trip to the beach and it withstood so much abuse, and let me tell you it sounds amazing too. It's definitely because the sound is separated between the subwoofer and the two woofers for the mid-range and up
Would it work well for a television? For an Extremely small room ( 11 feet by 11 Feet) . If i was to plug it in a wall for power and hook up via 3.5mm Audio Aux Cable. Would it be better than the standard audio Im getting from my sharp 43' smart TV. This T.vs audio is abysmal, I have the volume up 60% to 70% for movies and 80% to 100% for youtube . Just want good volume and clarity and not break the bank on a sound system .
Hi there! I just wanna ask which one is better between Tronsmart Mega 40W and Doss Soundbox XL. I've heard a lot of reviews from these two speakers. Until now, I'm undecided which is better. I really love music and would really want to buy bluetooth speaker. I'm looking for sound quality and clarity, Bass, and treble. Coz I'm a big fan of Luke Combs. Please advice. Thanks
Does anybody know how to unpair this speaker with your phone? I rarely use this for my phone, instead primarily as a PC speaker, and I'd like it to stop connecting with my phone. It stays connected even after switching to AUX mode, and "forgetting" the speaker on your phone will still lead to a request to sync with your phone every time it's booted up! As another issue, is there a way to tell this speaker to stay on? It's always turned itself off after 15 mins of having no sound even though I leave the power cable plugged in. The box is a bit too large to sit on the front of my desk, so I've got it sitting a far reach away on the back off my desk, making it very inconvenient to turn back on. I end up having to leave a song playing on loop in the background, which is annoying, and it still shuts itself off after a day.
Im wondering how do you see the battery status for this speaker as it just turns off by itself when the battery runs flat. When it finished charging, the red light will just goes off right? Cause im not sure whether it is my charger having issue that it stops charging or it is fully charged
Yes, the red light turns off when the battery is full. I have android 7.1.2 and sometimes android show the battery indicator of some speakers, but when I connect my soundbox XL to my phone, the system doesn't show anything. I think it is no possible to know the level of the battery of this speaker. (Sorry for my english)
Very nice and honest review. I also have this Doss Soundbox XL and I am also very amaze in it's excellent sound quality for the price. I compared it to speakers twice and three times it's price and easily beats them, not in loudness on some, but rather on it's sound quality and tight insane low bass. Never experienced such detailed low bass on a 3" woofer before and true, it plays 40hz and lower notes. By the way, mine is a China domestic market version and it has no rattling problem or any issues whatsoever. Probably it's an updated version.
This is a great honest review. Gonna finally get around to picking this up off of Amazon.....and crank some Down to the Waterline! Hope your toe is doing well. Cheers!
for $70 @ Amazon right now you cannot get a better sounding portable BT speaker.........it sounds impressive with a flat response and deep bass......I have also the Harman Kardon Go+Play 2 and a Bose Soundlink Air Wireless (a real Classic) both excellent speakers and I can tell that the Doss XL is a good contender......
Hey Gadgetviper..... I saw that you have the BenQ speaker. How does it compare to Doss Soundbox XL? The Doss has excellent controlled bass, smooth mids and decent clear treble without being fatiguing. The mids of the BenQ are supposed to be super smooth. Was keen to know if its mids are superior to the Doss.
If you're directly in front of the BenQ it sounds really clean on the mids, but I must admit, I prefer the Doss, I probably have over a dozen Bluetooth speakers and the Doss is always my go to unless the battery is dead.
@@GadgetViper The Doss is really tuned quite well. I would say its tuned quite neutral with a very slight emphasis on bass and treble rolled off just right.
Whats with the youtubers and their unnecessary intros? Do you purposely put that in do you not know how to edit? Do you think your funny? Im noticing nowadays its like this dumb trend with these tech videos.

I have Bluetooth speakers almost 4 times as expensive as this one, but it still is my favourite for sound :)

a great speaker very clear mids and trebles and deep low bass .have many speakers but this is great for its low price and sound quality
I was curious if you get the same sound quality if played at middle to low volume?
My doss soundbox xl didn't connect the Bluetooth how can i fix it ? Can you help me ? Pleaaaase😢
I was recommended the jbl xtreme 2 but I'm thinking about not getting it because people are saying it's too loud to use for a bedroom? Same for this?
Those Windows notif sounds are insane!!!!
Could you compare this to the Aomais Go Bluetooth speaker? They cost about exactly the same on Amazon and it would make a great comparison video.
