Actually, the amber eyed actor (he uses contact lenses and glasses, so sometimes his eyes may look darker than the clear golden brown they really are) did not visit Korea much, he was on a short paid business trip for photo-shoot once on modeling business before he converted to acting in 2016. He is not Korean but Chinese, born, raised, educated and based in Shenzhen with his family, when not in Hengdian or other filming locations in China. He speaks a sort of Shenzhen style Cantonese and now enough putonghua, but is not conversant in Korean or other languages, to my knowledge.
