first Athlertic use Blackburn Rovers shirt, but when they want a new kit of shirts, Blackburn were run out and they bring Sunderland and since day "zurrigorri"
Massive respect for Athletic , that reception made my hairs stand up, for my childhood hero , watched him at the Dell and was so lucky to have Le God in my team. I know this was in 2015, but what a great club you have and to respect and loyalty, in a time when loyalty is dead, as we will sadly find out next month when we are relegated

We only play with Basque players (trained, bred or born in the Basque Country, both on the side that is in Spain and on the one that is in France) and this creates a deep sense of belonging. The players are brothers, colleagues, friends, there are no egos here, there is no player who believes himself to be more important than anyone else, the defeats are everyone's fault, and the triumphs too. The union between the team and the fans is unbreakable, because the players are people from our towns: the son of the baker downstairs, the son of the owner of the bar on the corner, the son of the policeman who helps you when you are robbed... This year (2024) we have won the Copa del Rey of Spain (The Spanish Cup) and the celebration has been spectacular.

They haven't been never relegated to Spanish Second Division, the club has played the whole editions of Spanish First Division and they use to end the league between the first five or six teams every year. The club also has two subsidiary teams that play in lower categories, Bilbao Athletic and Baskonia, which provide players for the big team. They also 've agreements with a multitude of small teams throughout the Basque Country, to sign their players exclusively in exchange for supporting them financially. In addition, they have a women's team that also plays only with Basque women

A pesar de eso renunció a fichar por equios grandes porque decía que le motivaba mas derrotarlos que unirse a ellos.
