- slurry 2019, i finally got the slurry out after hours upon hours of mixing and bumping up and down the fields.

What thickness will the guzzler take we have a outside midden that fills up with muck that we scrap out every day but and rain water its to thick for a tanker but to wet for a duel spreader we use the west spreader but can only open the door a tiny bit as it to wet. Would this be OK?
It works off augers inside the tanker, aslong as the muck is wet enough to the point it can flow it should be ok, the spreading width reduces the thicker the muck is, but I think it would probably work with your situation

Can you close the hatch at the top of the guzzler for when your going on a road?
Yes both bottom and top seal tight so nothing can spill out, the one in the video just had something stuck in the spread gate so that's why it was leaking when filling but that soon cleared after 2 or 3 loads

In the Netherlands there was a search to see how much slurry is the best they found out is was 9000 liters at a hectare with the sprayplate
Oh right, yeah I think the the splash plate is fine unless your near a residential area which I understand how people dont like it but in the open countryside I think its fine

Not really, we do take abit out with the tractor and muck spreader when we finish just to keep it down

Great bit of kit the slurry guzzler we are on our 5th a 2500 gallon one but they are a bugger on bearings
Aye it's great at shifting the slurry, the bearings went out on that one 2 years ago but apart from that its flawless

Aye it looks dangerous, and it is dangerous but it's got a fence all the way around it with gates at both the ramps. And if anyone come to the farm and needs to go anywhere near the lagoon they are made well aware of it being there
How deep is the lagoon
It's about 135,000 gallons capacity, and is about 20ft deep

Wish we were onto slurry but we have county shows and shite to go to first plus wur slurry is rather thick at the minute so I'll have to cart a couple thousand gallon o pond water. Grand vid again
Cheers mate, we used to pump water to the top of the lagoon some time ago now until we built another ramp and started mixing from the deep end first
Angus Glover aye. We have floating slats only 60 feet o them but does what we need it to do as its only about 40 acre we cut this year. It's usually about 65 acre but it wouldn't fit in the pit but more is a lot better than less. We have a 2400 gallon tanker between 7 different farms up here
