ken lees cameos and clips in street dwellaz gave a glimpse of a sick scene behind the scenes. some secrets are better left unknown. huang phung was also mysterious
Sick red ledges. They are located inside Theodore Roosevelt High School in East LA. We used to session them back in the day (2001). I bumped into him at LACC back in 2003 a bunch of times. Omar came out in an episode of 1000 ways to die. Really cool guy!
How's Dayton Omar doing? Such a great homie. I haven't talked to him in over 15 years. I loved seeing you guys when I'd come to Cali... But no I'm not jumping fences in my 40s. Not worth it lol
that first clip is the wilshire 10 stair not just Some Out Ledge :) theres a 15 stair behind it as well, everything skate stopped now except the ledges because skateboarders were all over it. you can see Kyle Walker skating it here ua-cam.com/video/sWtdFlTq4Bo/v-deo.html
Thanks for the insight! It is such a gnarly spot! I used to know the names of most of the spots in So Cal but not going to them in so many years I've sadly forgotten their names.
Ken was always the best. Doing tricks years and years before anyone else even attempted them. Omar was super good too but in his later years, he really didn't try very hard when he was filming for section. I'd be out with him and he just wouldn't be trying to push himself at all. He just knd of went through a laundry list of stuff to get it done.
Yea, broke my hand and re-injured my middle back on the first day of Vermont Blade and Camp at the beginning of July. My hand is still not all good. Then a month later I fell ice skating and hurt my lower back and knee cap.
Omar’s style was authentic. Truly one of a kind. Thanks for sharing.
100%, so good

Was Tat Nasu part of that world. I always thought he was style embodied
@@crabapples1995 Tat was so good too! I honestly don't remember who he skated with but feel he was more south of LA maybe in Orange Country?
Omar is killing it!!
100%
Happy to see you back, I have had injuries as well and also stuff with family going on. Hope you are doing better!
Thank you and I hop you are recovering from your injuries!

I love John Elliot. I know I've said it before, but an interview with him would be incredible.
Awesome episode. Always loved Omar!
I agree, but tracking him down is nearly impossible.
@@JanWelch thanks for your reply. Do you know what he's doing now? He's definitely an elusive relic of the golden age
Sadly I do not know what he is up to these days.
Thank you really like the video. 👊🏻

Good memories bro
The best.
2:47 Two Thumbs Up! haha so good!
😂
Omar has such dope style.big fan since the Ohio days. His section in Closer is underrated
Yea, I wish I would have been able to film with him, but I only spent one day with him in LA. I wonder if I have that tape still.
Good stuff, and no fences around schools here (eastern Ontario/west Quebec)
Thanks and that sounds ideal!
Omar the style god
100%

He seems to be doing well based off his social. Those old Cali days were such a blast. And yes I'm too broken and overweight for fence hoping.
Laughing at @8:38 when I'm told the security at the school is essentially none while the shot keeps re-racking with the close up of a bowl.
ken lee ao fish hot fire
Yea, I was stoked seeing that! I don't think it was every used.

Yes! How long was Ken skating for? I felt like he was around for too long. Thanks for all the insight!
Injuries?? Were they skating related?
