When I heard you say "sand and cement" I thought you were talking about two separate things until I saw the bags. Here in the U.S. sand and cement is called Portland Cement. Looks amazing!
Hey brother! I found your video and I just did this myself bro after following your video instructions! thank you brother for sharing your knowledge to the inexperienced.
Quick question... what did you end up using to set the pavers in? I was looking online, did not see "Sand & Cement" like what was use on this video... How did it turn out? We are about to do about the same project at home, but it is more for a walk path.
Probably the best explained step by step video I have ever watched man! Spoke well, made us simple instructions with everything needed to understand to get the job done, Great Aussie video!
Been thinking about paying someone to do it for me. That looks Beautiful. I'm into giving it a go. I was told to put sand under the weed mat. Thank you so much for the tutorial!!
Kudos to you for the dry pour! I'm a huge fan and built an entire staircase dry pouring. Your edging technique will be implemented this weekend at my house! Thank u!
Easy and beautiful! I believe an non-expert like me would mix the cement in a recipient before laying on the floor. Your method saves a lot of time. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, the edging looks fantastic! Excellent step-by-step video -- thank you for posting it! This will be the model for a summer project for me. Although not being a professional like you, I can safely say it will probably take me more than half or three-quarters of a day. LOL. :) I appreciate you taking the time share your approach to this project.
We women like to do construction in garden but takes hours for Home Depot people to tell you about the use of material and we need like in cooking shows write the name of material we need if you can give an idea of prices too would helps tons thank you so much 😊
Stone/pebble mulch looks good for one season only. Dirt, pine needles, leaves and weeds will accumulate, and is quite difficult to get out, especially around plants. Every spring I have rake the stones back and forth to loosen up the debris, while hubby uses a leaf blower to blow everything out of the bed.
I must say you've made this look really easy and like I can actually do it too! I have always been intimidated to try something like this because of the levelling and thinking i would fudge it up but this looks easy enough so might try it! thank you!
Thanks a lot, Bill for this very informative and easy to follow video. This has given me great confidence to embark to do some gardening jobs as I am retired now. God Bless you. Your explaining method is great to follow.
thank you...learnt a tip...only thing i would have done differently is to install the weedmat underneath the blocks and vertically stick it in against the house wall...because grass always finds a way through a small crack 😊 and when you get rid of that grass by pulling it it lifts the mat and displace the stones...but to each their own way is their way😁 but i am thankful for the tip in the dry placement...
I would have laid the blocks on Sharp Sand and raking in just a couple of bags of cement then wetted the back of the stones and sunk them in, looks expensive, great video
I’m currently planning something like this but applying it dry is different. I wonder whether there’s the potential to leave some dry concrete directly under the paver?
As someone who has edged for thousands of hours, this video makes me love edging even more
Finally! Someone that simplifies this process! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
You’re welcome 👍
I was planning to pay someone to do this in my garden.
Not now, now im going to do it myself, thank you
purpose of this video 👍🏿👍🏿

Good to know... I was thinking the same thing. I've always heard ppl using mortar for this. Sand and cement or Portland cement sounds easy..

This looks expensive, judging from the amount of cement but looks worth it. It really looks lovely tho thanks for the tip😍

Agreed. Looks awesome now but it gets messy fast.
I just tiger torch it in the winter after the fall leaf drop. Wet it first or after wet weather
That is true especially the white gravel or rock
Did you use landscaping fabric for weeds?
This looks fabulous❤️There’s a lot more work involved than one would initially think but the result is worth it
Remember nothing in life that is worthwhile is easy

Great video! Just what I need right now
Great job!
great video thankyou I will do it this way from now on
Awesome job
It looks beautiful and it is tempting to give it a try. Don't you need reinforcement to keep the cement from cracking ?
De Plans Look Great
Clean, concise video. Thanks! I’m going to to go apply what I’ve learned👍🏽
😍
Great video and well explained. However, doesn't the sand and cement mix turn into liquid concrete with water and that could cause the pavers to move?
It will.
I’m currently planning something like this but applying it dry is different. I wonder whether there’s the potential to leave some dry concrete directly under the paver?
@@mesozoicmusic The cement mix will definitely not be mixed well, I'm not convinced that it will be stable down the track.
