Loving your videos. I've been looking for a good resource to help in transitioning knowledge and skills from the hospital into the backcountry, so I'm thrilled to have found your channel!
In my last 4 altitude climbs, I've used 125 mg BID of diamox starting two days before my climb. I continue the dose the day before the climb and the day of the climb. No issues with altitude sickness since starting this regimen.
Great episode Kyle. (Great work over on MedCram too)
Whaaat? I didn’t know Kyle Allred was involved with MedWild.
I use the Garmin 66i. Great for letting my wife I have arrived at a refugio or bivi. Also she can track me so if a fall and am incapacitated and can't push the SOS button she would realise there was a problem by the lack of movement and call on our local service,.
Kyle Does Dr Donner make you laugh every time he is teaching ?
Yes!
I use the inreach on my Garmin 66i to let my wife track mecehen I am up in the mountains and will send her a a preset message to let I am on plan . ie reached refugio or bivi ok .
