Major props to you for providing an extremely informative and thorough demo...over 8 years ago! Most gear reviewers STILL have trouble covering a variety of settings. Excellent playing, too!
I have a SSH+ in the bridge and two V60s in middle and neck position, all stock from Suhr. The SSH+ is a medium-high output humbucker and the V60s more vintage voiced single-coils. HTH :)
I love what I'm hearing...Gain goes as high as I think I'd ever need. Versitality in my opinion has nothing to do with the number of channels. Learn to use that volume knob on your guitar and it will clean up quite nicely!!
Are the pick ups (bridge single coil) fairly stock wind or a a bit hotter .. Considering one of these and talked with Mike about one dialed in for my needs .. so, need to know if stock or colder strat PUPs will still give me close to what I hear in your video ? However, I will go with a Head unit so I can use different cabs for my needs. Excellent job on the demo showing the amps capabilities !!
hey marc, i watched so much of your stuff with your help i did a huge step forward the movement of your right hand is fantastic is it possible that you tape a lil camera on one of your guitars so i can see how you touch the strings? who about a lesson to play more fluent? or to reconnect the seperate parts without hearable gaps?

Thanks man! Appreciate you taking the time to check out this vintage vid ;)
OUTSTANDING clean tone, and seems to have a fair amount of headroom for an EL84 amp.
@TheRealRayJ Yeah the Master is very useful, you lose some bottom end but perfectly good gain at the lower volumes
@bubbleabee Oh I still use my other guitars as they offer different options but the Suhr is my #1 :)

Yeah pretty it's a great wee amp for getting though high gain sounds, nice and crisp. For more bottom end though would need to run an extra cab IMO

About 10:30 in it almost sounds like Among the Living era Anthrax tone in my opinion. Gnarly!
@d3reilly
That's the first thing I noticed on when I got mine lol
Are Astroverb considered as boutique amps? Point to point? handmade?
Thanks for the video!
The best thing about this amp is that it goes to eleven. \m/ indeed, Mark.
Can this amp with a tube screamer do some metal like rust in peace ???
Yer rock.
Very good demo! Covered a lot. Some demo musicians just play their "thing" and show no diversity.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
cool amp
Loud enough to gig with unmiked?
Kirk Hargreaves get a radial engineering jdx box and put a super overdrive in the front, plug it into a greenback 4x12 and you have a setup that slays
@BrasilGuitar that crunch chanel on the dsl sucks
That's a pinch harmonic. There are a few good videos on youtube about how to do them.
"...up to eleven, because all Soldano amps to go up to eleven.....yeah." great!
5 Stars
