I need to rewatch this movie to get back on track. This is how you can fool investors during the early stage startups sell a dream in exchange of equity. At least this company had a physical location, most of those future state unicorns exist on pitch deck only. Look at companies' valuation of business entities that are not yet profitable being bumped up like crazy. The good thing of walking into those kinds of hustles after a few rock bottoms under your belt is the sheer detachment from the idea of success. It's more about savouring the moment and learning how to make, break and try again. If you don't get it right.
That's what I thought. Not really the best sales pitch. If indeed he was lying, which he did, why didn't he just say that the patent was approved just 20 minutes ago. That way the prospect wouldn't be able to ve ify since it's before instant communication and will most likely sink even more money.
This would be extremely ineffective in Europe. Calling the cold called person by name, all this emphasis and hype would just generate mistrust. Possibly it works in the US
They make this tact look malevolent. But imagine if everything he was saying were true? There are still businesses with integrity, and in those cases, marketing in this way is looking out for the interest of everyone, the salesman, the company they work for AND the customer getting a decent deal.
@@mermiez1 Because their literal job is to make you spend money while gaining even more for themselves. The real people making good money buying stocks don't need some sales guy convincing them over the phone, they're switched enough to know what to invest in.

CLASSIC SCAM, the only thing that rings alarms for me it's the miraculous rewards with no downside, and if it's so great why is he selling? Outside that it hugely sucks how nice he is, incredibly well spoken, im so envious.
The only problem with the pitch is when he asks the guy if he has a minute, the guy responds with actually I’m pretty busy right now. Then he just blasts past it and disregards his answer 😂 idk its a great monologue otherwise, but the fact that it wasn’t a good time and pushed thru would make a lot of people mad and maybe snapped back or hung up. Just my opinion
It will be a lot of fun too. Queers are welcome to apply. If you dont get the job? It has nothing to do with your sexual orientation but everything to do with your skills. . They probably had Jordan Belfort record himself selling the fake stock then Leo practiced it over and over again...
Yes they did
Jordan Belfort himself sat down with Leo and taught him
