Amazing video as always!! Loved the idea of coupling both sensors together. Didn't know you could do that. Can you address the calibration issues for IMUs in future videos please. When I started out, really struggled with cheaper IMUs like mpu6050 and wish there was a better way to calibrate and confirm it was good enough for the robot.
Excellent tutorial. This really helps put things into perspective. I’m looking forward to the next one. Thank you! Since the Sparkfun board is out of stock I’ve been using a GY-521 (no magnetometer)I had laying around. Is the magnetometer a critical part of this project?
I just got the Sparkfun AutoPhat which includes several of these components - I hoping that the supply chain crisis is finally working its way out. I'll do an update with that board.
Great video, this is a great introduction for people to get started with IMUs!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for video!!! Hope you will continue to record ROS2 tutorials!
Thank you. You're a life savor.
Your channel is a gem! Keep it going 👍
Thank you for the kind words!
Helpful instructions to get a IMU running on my ROS 2 Humble variant of a Turtlebot

Thank you for the reply! Sorry for the delay, been a busy summer. I'll do an update with calibration.
