I've always said that the "classical guitar" is the best all-round guitar there is, it can play anything. And in Muriel's hands, here's the proof. But she has a head start on everyone else : her smile lubricates the strings and melts the audience.
I have seen her in concert a few times and had the good fortune to speak with her. She is as wonderful and down to earth a person as she is as stunning a musician. She deserves so much more recognition for her phenomenal talents. One of the finest musicians I have ever had the privilege of seeing in concert.
WOW is this lady for real, not only is she beautiful, she plays beautiful too. on a scale of 1 to 10 ..10 being the highest, i give her a 12 + young lady u dont need a harp guitar, you do it all on a regular guitar..........you were wonderful AAAA

Two prominent professional players noticed it from a distance and commented, and were impressed even before they knew she was a female. No kidding, her rhythm guitar work was every bit as driving as Del McCoury's rhythm (something of which he is a bit underrated, I think). Natural talent is hard to find, but easy to recognize.
I met and sat around the campfire with the Wildwood pickers way back in the earlier 80 s Muriel was a bit older than me so to be honest I really liked sister Sue more my age, it was really fun hanging out with them .
I had a great C.D with Muriel demonstrating some Vintage Chicago accoustic guitars ( Larsen) She played a different piece on each instrument ending with the harp guitar. What an ambassador for bluegrass ( and Irish music, for that matter )
She plays like I do. Then I wake up, have breakfast, take a shower and go to work. Amazing really. She's also a fabulous teacher. I have her 1-2-3 Fingerstyle Guitar DVD which is great instruction and inspiring play.
