4:50 I'm pretty sure you have to wait for that to bank. You could've banked it by pressing the select button on the cross country event and then coming back out to freeroam. Online also lets your skill counter catch up while you're in the pause menu (You can hear it still going), but you'll have to unpause to let it wait out the remaining few seconds to bank it.
