You may have seen this video’s thumbnail and thought “Doesn’t Embers Living just sell Fireplaces and Grills?” Well you aren’t wrong, we do sell both of those products. Let me tell you, we sell a lot more appliances as well. Anywhere from outdoor fire tables all the way to residential refrigerators!
Today we look at some of the TRU Refrigeration products! These fridges are one of a kind in this market. They really blow other companies out of the water. As a result of that, the price tag isn’t exactly… well, pretty. On the other hand the features of these bad boys are out of this world!! In this video we look at the nice features that really set this fridge apart from other brands!
With Tru Refrigeration we see very unique features that don’t typically show up in big box fridges. For example, as seen in the video we can order them in multiple colors as well as multiple styles. We take a look at a glass door model in a residential space as well as a closed off refrigerator! Let me tell you, they look STUNNING. It’s not only their appearance that really sets them apart from other brands.
For example an awesome feature we get with Tru is the stainless steal inside finish! What does that mean for you? Well I’m sure we have all had something hidden in the back of our fridge rot away and create a horrible stench! The plastic insides of your classic fridge will hold these odors for longer and as a result make your fridge smell for weeks maybe even months. That two side by side - that's an amazing set up. I just wish True used a more warm color for the internal lightning. The bright white light is a bit dated.

Ice scoop holder is not a stupid feature. Typically, in a commercial setting it’s a health code violation to leave the scoop in the ice. Hence the holder. 😊

Sweet Refrigerator. I think Viking is in the same league as the Sub Zeros and these Tru refrigs that I just learned about in this vid.
Viking sold their company to a Chine equity firm. Their quality is garbage since they were bought out years ago.

When we’ve shopped for appliances for our remodel, the True columns are 10-15% higher priced than equivalent SubZero, Miele or Liebherr columns. Biggest problem is availability, that’s true of all 4 brands. We’re looking at late Fall delivery “at earliest”. Fortunately that works for our remodel timeline, buyers should however be made aware of this issue

Sadly, things haven't improved since you posted. We just ordered high end appliances for the retirement home we are building and our SubZero fridge won't be here until next June...maybe August.
Hello, thank you for the review on this new product. Does it have an air purification system? I know that sub zero refrigerators remove ethylene gas.

So we have a new video coming out on cabinets. But these were made by a local carpenter, and painted based on the color my wife chose.

Isn't it "True" instead of "TRU"? I've been researching some refrigeration options for my pool ramada project, I know you don't give prices on these videos as prices fluctuate, but just to set the ballpark for people and avoid time being wasted, I was quoted $9700 by True Residential for a 30" column refrigerator in stainless with stainless hardware and a glass door, not sure if that includes shipping. It looks like a quality piece but I couldn't personally justify using that much of my budget for a refrigerator.
I think it is True too. They are one of the leaders of commercial refrigerators for restaurants. Didn’t know they made a residential line. Looks nice

If you have the money to spend, why not? Is it worth it? No, cooling your food faster wont improve your life other than feeling a little better about yourself looking at the fridge. The only sensible kitchen device to spend money on is the cooktop. Fridges and stoves dont make you cook any better.

Might want to show the 48” combo, which does have an ice maker inside. In terms of space and budget, the 48” is still more than the low proline models from Samsung, or GE, but towers over them in features. Stainless steel conducts cold better than plastic, but it is fussier to clean.
FYI, SubZero has a 5 year warranty, overall, and 12 year on sealed parts, for about $6-$8K less, and both an odor and ethylene (gas produced by veggies that rots other veggies) filter. I don’t own either (yet), but your video keeps searching for differences between this and comparable models. The Samsung isn’t comparable. The SubZero is. At least compare apples-to-apples.
All of which gives you an opportunity to do this video over again, and maybe be a bit nicer to your wife? The little hurry-up thing that you were doing with your finger, and a few other moments, look, well, a bit condescending, IMHO. Can’t speak for a missus, as I’m sans one,, but I found it off-putting enough never to set foot in your store.

A sales guy will tell you the SubZero Pure Air Filter will reduce odor. It does not. Their Customer Care line will tell you as much. A common complaint from homeowners is that their SubZero holds odors. The Ethelyne gas bit is accurate. Also, that filter will run you $60-$80 once a year. The indicator will begin to notify you in about 9 months time that it needs to be changed.
