I did go back and try to find the original class that I took on Skillshare, and I could not find it. It was probably eight years ago, so no telling where it is now. I hope you enjoy my version of painting an avocado and it makes you feel as encouraged about your painting process as I did the first time I painted one!

Very informative tutorial! I've always been intimidated about watercolors, especially becoming a mud blob! HOWEVER, thank you for breaking everything down into simple to understand techniques. Ps I have a friend who doesn't like to eat avocados so I may just get inspired to make sure he can enjoy one!❤

Determination and passion for the medium got you there! Good for you, Andrea. I was so bad at watercolor when i was in design school (100 yrs ago) I let myself be downgraded a full letter grade because it was required to avoid it. I loved and was good at, pen and ink rendering so my entire portfolio had no watercolor. It got attention during interviews, which I think really helped me get a good first job.
Always follow your passions!
