Thomas I love all of your videos & I hope you never stop making them. You explain everything so wonderfully & thoroughly & your voice is so soothing. Just love all your videos!
Tell the truth, I've thought the crab cake has been less than delcious. But this recipe&demonstration break my old bias! I definitely want to try this🦀
I love these. I hate overly wet crab cakes. I also appreciate that he didn’t use salt and old bay seasoning as if old bay doesn’t have salt in it. We use entirely too much salt on our foods.
In Korea I enjoy eating chicken very often. It's the first recipe I've ever seen. It looks very delicious. I want to taste the crispy texture. I enjoyed the video. :)
Wow, I am completely surprised you weren't slammed with people telling you that you pressed the crab mixture into a flat patty with your finger tips not the palm of your hand. You had them memorized!
Can I do a cheesecake... I wanna k the ratios of cream cheese whipping cream ect I make Oreo cheesecake but I want to know how I can change a recipe with the right rations
That mouthful and facial expression at the end made me laugh, work on it Thomas 😃. Seriously though, you're such a good teacher, I've never had crabcakes and had considered using tinned crabmeat before but now I will only attempt it if I can find fresh.
I was thinking the same thing about him being a great teacher. I think Gordon Ramsay is a great teacher too... but Thomas does it while being incredibly nice and sweet too! :D
You can use canned. Works well. They still taste great. Here in the midwest you have to pay a huge premium to get somewhat fresh. Previously frozen fresh that is
Could you do an American style gyro recipe?? I was thinking it would be cool to make a recipe for this marinating sausages with greek spices then barbecuing them. American gyro meat is just a huge sausage type thing anyway. I don't have the skills to know how to do this best myself though. You can probably come up with something even better and easier though.
I expect your team to know and teach better. Adding oil to butter does NOT change the temperature at which the milk solids will burn, nor does it change the smoke point. It does NOT allow you to cook at a higher temperature at all. It simply allows you to get more fat in the pan without having to use more butter (which is (a) more expensive and (b) less healthy than the neutral oil).
Keeps it cool over ice in the refrigerator?? Dude, time for a new fridge if you need ice in it. ""Flatter them out with the palm of my hand" as he presses them down with his fingers. Yep, then back into the fridge to dry them out while he breaks out the skillet and oil he should have already had. Yep use that parchment paper and still leave crab cake on it. Big surprise, he burnt them.
I'd love to watch this video but the hum in the background is too distracting. This one seems worse than before, please move to a different location or record when the exhaust isn't running.

i was saying a prayer at the end for that crab cake that got left in the hot pan.
it was smoking!
@@idas5231 i was seriously waiting for the thing to go up in flames. it was the most tension i have ever felt watching a cooking video.
F
Really?, Up in Flames??? Why you make something outta nothing? He was fine!

Thanks for the delicious recipe Thomas!!
Amazing...salivating...the way he's explaining it and handles the produce shows that he's an experienced and professional chef.

All the recipes are perfect; I’ve tried many so far. Thank you, you are amazing.
Thomas Joseph makes cooking look easy just like Sarah Carey. Thomas Jospeh explains so well, and is specific and makes great food, he makes me happy
Some lemon zest into the mixture adds that extra brightness ❤️👏

@Mast Cell Guy the best seafood comes from the East Coast
Miam Miam ça l'air délicieux
Another great video buddy . You are my favorite. ✌👍
Perfect crab cake recipe! I'd add Old Bay out of habit but good crab meat doesn't need it.
Wow

Definitely love the addition of Old Bay but more importantly thank you for giving me the permission I needed to not create crab cake soldiers!
Top notch crab cakes! ; )

But did that other crab cake on the pan survive? 😥
He burnt the first two, so no!
Great recipe. Many thanks.
Crab cakes should be mostly CRAB as these are.

I have never seen fresh crab meat in my country, only crabsticks. Can one use those?
Thomas : Can olive oil be used instead of the cooking oils you recommended ? / Thank you.
@Man Yogurt thank you.
Can you use crab flakes?

You could have left the restaurant background noise out, it's REALLY irritating.
