Hardy was twice his size and he still ragdolled him. Crazy skills, by far the best ground game in heavyweight.

@@PapaPercules Jones hasn't fought since Reyes, and he didn't look great then either. We'll have to see how he does when he comes back.
@@PapaPercules Romanov's grappling is sick, but he DRASTICALLY gasses out after the first 7-8 minutes. Spivac has proven he can keep up the pace and intensity of his grappling throughout the fight. Advantage goes to Spivac.

Really rooting for Spivac. Extremely young for the division, but very strong and with a solid ground game. I can see him being a serious contender in the next few years if he keeps improving.

I'm no fan of Lewis, but I appreciate his activity. He'll fight anyone and up to three times a year if need be. Its a remarkable change compared to the rank squatters at the top of almost every division who stall the division by refusing to fight down and cherry-pick their opponents.

@@fiselled Because I don't think he's a particularly good fighter. Derrick is a beneficiary of the fact Heavyweight is a shallow division and the fact that one punch can end a fight. In any other division, Derrick wouldn't contend for a title let alone twice.
This is compounded by the fact that whenever Derrick faces elite level competition, 90% of the time he crumbles and the 10% he doesn't, he's bailed out by his KO power. I'm also no fan of the fact that nowadays, he constantly folds under pressure and is becoming more and more like Bob Sapp; turning up for a pay-check. He either looks for the early knockout or he's outta there.

I been saying Sergei is a serious threat at HW. He beat Tai, hardy, Sakai, and Vanderra all by hip throw and smashing. Plus the arm triangle. I got him beating Lewis. Derrick comes for a paycheck now.
I mean Derrick doesn't have the heart he used to anymore as he'll wilt and quit under pressure but he's still not to be underestimated. He has that punchers chance and he will look to connect it early which he can do against anyone. The key is to not allow Derrick into the fight from the start, if you do that he'll get frustrated and eventually want to go home.

Idk what was wrong with Lewis but i hope he's healthy. Maybe his blood pressure shot up high before the fight out of nerves. He had alot of pressure on him to get a W. Win or Lose i dont see Derrick getting cut EVER!!!

As a wrestler the inside leg turk at 2:15 is such a dominant position. Your opponent can't build any base and is flattened out. You also have the option of throwing in hooks if needed.
Spivac is making Moldova proud!
Lewis is gonna have to catch him clean before he gets taken down. If he gets taken down, I think this will not be a long fight.

I think Spivac decisions or submits Lewis. He'll beat everyone but guys with on par grappling, like Blaydes, easily. If a striker were to get it done against him, they'd have to have the movement and technical prowess of Gane. Will be an exciting fight. Even given what I said, Lewis can absolutely catch and KO any man.

I think Spivac struggles with Ngannou, who is way too big and strong to be tossed around like the other Heavyweights. Plus his wrestling is only getting better all the time.

I was wondering when someone would mention that, he's one of the worst Heavyweights on the roster. He gave an ancient Aleksei Oleynik his only path to victory by choosing to grapple with Oleynik and got submitted by him. He stood with Chase Sherman (who has decent boxing offence but sucks everywhere else) the whole fight and got knocked out in the final round, saving Sherman's UFC career in the process. Weaponized low fight IQ.
Plus I can't stand seeing him with his black nail polish, its disgusting.

spivac is one of the most terrifying fighters I've seen. he can straight up kill these guys the way he beats them. His ground and pound is scary cuz you can tell they know its coming but too much control, its like he makes them witness their life being taken as it happens.

Skeptical about Jon Jones prospects at Heavyweight. I'm just thinking about how guys like Spivac, Romanov, Blades, Pavlovich would literally ragdoll him if they get ahold of him.
Hence why uncle Dana's gifting him a title shot for his first fight at heavyweight
I don't have confidence in Jones at Heavyweight now, given how he looked against his last two opponents (Santos and Reyes) who fell off a cliff after they fought him which says to me that Jones has fallen off and is washed. His party lifestyle finally caught up to him and he's no longer that man who could conceivably beat everyone in the UFC at 205 or HW.

Even Tai was not even a top 10 when he fought Lewis.
