thank you! Very helpful videos. Would love to see more Clo tutorials from you, yours are better than their official ones! I am a complete beginner to Clo, a home hobbyist sewist trying to make my own patterns without any formal training...

Love the short videos. Appreciate you mentioning that these patterns are not for production.
Content which explains pattern making rules to keep in mind when making garments intended for production would also be very useful.

Thank you for the kind words. I used to do patternmaking, but I focus on 3D modelling now.

Excellent. I work in Marvleous, but I am thinking of switching to CLO3D at this point.

That's why I use CLO. I really do not understand why they didn't add these cool tools to Marvelous because they are extremely useful for people who don't know pattern-making. There are more, that MD misses - Line Spread Tool, Set Sublayer, etc. On the other hand, CLO doesn't have the Retopology tool which is quite unique.

    one question
i am also a pattern drafting designer.
i am using Optitex, and when i need to check pattern specific one i Use CLO .
but i want to USE clo as a whole for 2D pattern drafting mostly customer only need pattern.
but in Clo their is 3D Editing tool for patten which is amazing.
Panels , shapes in pattern, etc.
    those are so easy.
when we create pattern from only a Picture.
so need suggestion should i move toward completely toward clo for my 2D and 3D pattern?

When I draw a shape like square or rectangle in 2D window, it's not automatically getting filled with fabric. Should I change anything in Settings or presets for the shape to be filled by fabric while drawing. I need that to draft patterns.

Hi :) Select two edges you want to connect in a 2d window with the Edit Pattern tool, then right-click on one of them and choose "Merge".

Do you mean you don't see seamlines in a 3d window? Try check the left vertical bar in a 3d window - t-shirt icon. The third icon inside will be Show Seamlines. Turn it on or press Shift+S and see if it works.

Hi Thank you for the tutorial. I have a question. I tried to export the garment edited in Modular configuration, but couldn't export as an obj or a fbx. Have you successfully done that before?
In my case, looks like the OBJ file doesn't include all the patterns after importing into Maya. FBX just crashed software. TIA!

Hi, .obj export works well on my side, but .fbx doesn't. CLO 7.0.480 exports it in the wrong scale. I exported .fbx from 6.2.330 and it worked. I think that's a bug in CLO, so try to use one of the previous versions.

А вы не шьёте изделия по своим паттернам?

Зараз ні. Раніше шила і була конструктором одягу.
