    Jon, your explanations and attention to detail in the review are great as always! Best structured reviews out there imho. Having an explicit player count explanation is so nice, and you actually mentioning how many times you played a game, not just handwaving it, is just great! Keep up the good work!

    My biggest gripe with this game is the space it takes on the table. Keeps it from getting played.

    Great video as always. This is my brother’s current favorite game and he raves about it constantly. It’s probably too heavy for my regular group but I hope I get to play it sometime soon.

    Good point about the player boards. It would have been nice if one set of tech tree boards did not interact with the PBs and the other did. That way you could play a bunch of different setups with that first set and if you wanted to use the player boards you could just add the second set of tech tree boards.

    @11.50 the Red dice value bought with 4 cubes should be the value of the dice which wasn't drafted. median +1 is the bonus for spinning gyrondines when the round marker says +?

      Ah shoot, yep you are right. We played this correctly, I just had a mental slip up there when I recorded the video. I'll add a clarification in the subtitles. Thanks for pointing that out!

    That's an exciting format Jon. Why don't you have it anymore?

    I've watched a lot of your videos over the last couple of years and I've finally noticed the jgg in the bulb logo. Feel very foolish now! Thanks for the excellent content though.

      I tried to make it as big as possible without looking bad, but yeah it had ended up essentially being an easter egg.

    Thanks for the review, especially for the HQ board. Have you tried playing with the balanced roll variant? The first time I play the game, I play with that, and the whole game feels mediocre :/ Now I think about it, probably it's the problem of this variant.

    • @JonGetsGames
      @JonGetsGames  6 років тому

      I am not familiar with that variant, can you tell me more about it?

    • @GarrettChan
      @GarrettChan 6 років тому

      Oh, sorry. It's actually called "EVEN START VARIANT" on page 8 of the rule book. It basically pre-determine 4 of the dice to be 2, 3, 4, 5 in a 3-player game then only rolling the remaining 3 dice. Probably it's due to my OCD of over-balancing things or such :/

      Ah, I somehow completely missed reading this variant in the rulebook so I have no experience with it. I do feel like I'd have no desire to play that way though.

      @@GarrettChan isn’t that only for the first turn? Every other turn is completely random

    All your timestamp marker seems inconsistent, the negative goes to conclusion and the last 2 one restart the video ! :)

      Good catch! Looks like I forgot to change the time stamps from a different review I copied my template from. It should be all fixed now. Thanks for pointing that out.
