Hi there my beautiful brother.. I still am almost 2.5 yrs.. Daddy is with the SEALS, my brother is a Jetfighter, I'm military 🪖 hope 🙏 I make it back..currently keeping 6..
Such a remarkable country song. 0:27, that shot sure gave me emotions. This song was released in June 2001, which was 3 months before that unforgettable nightmarish day at WTC. Jan - August 2001 were the final 8 months of the golden age of America.
As I sit here watching the protests at Mt. Rushmore, I had to come here to listen to this song. Those protesters live in what is still - for now - the most free nation in the world. I thank God for the privilege of being born here. I thank God for grandparents who made the trip here. I thank God for the melting pot of Irish, Scot, Polish, African, Asian and dozens of others groups who make us what we are - including the native Americans. We have all benefited from the experiences of many from around the world. The national motto -"E Pluribus Unum" is not "from one, many" but "from many, one". We are all "One Nation, Under God". God Bless America!

As for American "freedom" that's a joke. Try to defend yourself or flee from a mob of antifa and then tell me how "free" you are as you sit in prison with your 400 year sentence. Sorry, the time for delusional myths about America is over. Now it time to deal with reality and the facts on the ground.
My wife and I saw 20 years ago Brooks & Dunn on Sept 13, 2001. Yes, two days after the 9/11 attack. Great show. Sawyer Brown, opened the show and did a great job of performing a great version of Kokomo! And Brooks and Dunn, well they opened the show, with a song up until that time they had closed their show with "Only in America". We still have the confetti that was shot out into the audience. They actually opened the show with their lead guitarist doing a Jimi Hendrix version of the Star Bangled Banner as Ronnie Dunn read a statement to the crowd. Just before this a small plane flew over the fairgrounds in Allegan, Michigan as the crowd turned to silence as no planes were flying for the last 48 hours.
Just surfing UA-cam, then came across this song and video. I like Brooks and Dunn and thought, “A song I haven’t heard before!” Then video just literally made me cry. I immigrated from the Philippines. Faced many years of uncertainty and fear. I see my life in this song and in this video. Thank you, Brooks and Dunn!
Believe it or it not, I’m Asian American. After living in American most my life, I would never go back to Asia. I love my faith, my freedoms, my rights, and this nation tremendously. This nation offers more potential, more patriotism, and more freedom than I could have had back in Asia.

When my son was born my Mother said he's going to be a doctor. At 10 years old he wanted to be a doctor. Today he is a Doctor. This was possible because my Grandparents came to America in 1900.
@@electricheisenberg5723 Depends on the country and their system of government. In many countries it is almost impossible to become a doctor unless you are politically connected or born into the right class or group. In China, for example, you might be able to become a doctor if your parents belong to the Communist Party and they have done whatever the party asked for many years. If you don't bow to the Communist Party you would never get to become a doctor. In America you can hate the party in power and still find a way to become a doctor. In other words you don't have to be a slave to be successful in America. This is a huge difference between the two systems.

America came from a large British colony, you slaughtered the natives, your history has loopholes (eg: Columbus never actually set foot in America and believed the earth was a giant pear), you were one of the last country’s to outlaw slavery, you built your own measurement system for no reason, your poverty is inescapable, and while I could go on and on, I will just say: your president is an idiot

@@electricheisenberg5723 We aren't the last country to outlaw it because there is still slavery in parts of Africa and the Middle-East. Besides, we didn't have slavery for very long, and the USA evolved faster than basically any other country. we had slavery, yes. but look at where we are at now. In just 2-4 generations (or lifetimes), we went from slavery, segregation and sexism to being the most diverse and powerful nation in the world where everyone of all races and both genders has equal rights. It's unfortunate that some of the people in my generation don't understand how great this country is and how much it evolved for the better in such a short period of time.

I’m a veteran and I admit this song made me even more proud to be an American. Brooks & Dunn may have wrote and recorded the most patriotic song that embodies America’s promise ( life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness) to its people. The political climate of today is asinine to what America is about and we must remind ourselves that America is a nation of immigrants and to stop those who want to sow division and hatred among us (United States). I thank God that I was born in America having said that I’ll also dare to say that the only people who can truly appreciate what it is to be an American are people who weren’t born here.

Every single time I hear this song I'm filled with Pride and Joy to the point of nearly being in tears. Even though we're going through a tough time as a Nation right now, Americans are still incredibly blessed. If it all falls apart in the next decade I can at least say I had my chance to dance in America. Thank you, Lord!
It will only fall apart if we do not stand together and fight back!!

When my son was born my Mother said he's going to be a doctor. At 10 years old he wanted to be a doctor. Today he is a Doctor. This was possible because my Grandparents came to America in 1900.
coulda been a doctor in another country. just sayin.

Proud to be an American! Tower scene of New York made me tear up. I will never forget, God bless our brave men and women who have served and will serve to keep this country free. Land of the free home of the brave! Thank you for that!
You only think you are free because you have had that drummed into you over the years.
America came from a large British colony, you slaughtered the natives, your history has loopholes (eg: Columbus never actually set foot in America and believed the earth was a giant pear), you were one of the last country’s to outlaw slavery, you built your own measurement system for no reason, your poverty is inescapable, and while I could go on and on, I will just say: your president is an idiot
speedygongaming so voting for a Democrat makes everything better by adding legal abortion to the list? (yes, it is sadly legal but Republicans are against it)
@@electricheisenberg5723 We aren't the last country to outlaw it because there is still slavery in parts of Africa and the Middle-East.
@@constantinenikitin5397 1: i never said the last. 2: you are 85th in the diversity chart, that is a straight up lie 3: yknow there are better countries. 4: for example, you are 46th on the life expectancy chart 5: you spend the most of any economy on your military, and you (rather needlessly) have 1 third of the worlds total military power from what i saw last month. i could go on and on but im getting bored.
ps: you revolted after britain abolished slaves and unlike most other countries you fought a war over it, and very well could have lost. although you did evolve pretty fast, australia has topped you socioeconomically and we were a penal colony! you were a colony designed for ACTUAL INCOME!

Well, I'm sitting here on July 4th, listening to a song that celebrates America. Tragically, we've lost our identity and unity as a nation.
Nah, it's just the divisive & hateful left that's trying to make that happen. I just saw a current TIPP poll that says 82% of us are extremely(44%) or very(23%) proud to be American w/15% saying they're moderately proud. Sadly, 4% are unsure, 8% say slightly, and a confused & misinformed 6% are not proud.
