So ill say this to hopefully lesson any misunderstanding regarding this vessel. The designation F7C-M means this is the closest thing we as citizens of the UEE are legally allowed to purchase from the contractor Anvil Aerospace (the M stands for military). The only way to legally obtain an F7A model is to have served in the military (remember this is refering to post SQ42 + 1.0 LIVE release). This Super Hornet is designed from the ground up to be as good as the military model with slight draw backs (mainly being the boost & turning ability) due to this being built for CIVILIAN MILITIAS to defend against all threats. PvP is very big in the game an wont be going anywhere, sure but why such a vessel exist NOW of all times is so that we can face future PvE threats LIKE THE VANDUUL. The point is, this vessel is weaker then the Hurricane full stocked up. Has better total DPS but is slower, has lower total HP & has a remote turret (something with precision targetting can be shot off easily). Finally, this is a Hornet, something that can fractures VERY easily in drawn out fights. DO NOT only take the DPS as the sole reason a vessel is "good" or not. Understand this game is like 3D cheese, as much as one vessel is affective against one enemy, does not mean it'll be any more effective against the rest. With a skilled hand this vessel will be a monsters but so will any other in the right hands. Its not about the vessel, its about the pilot. I hope this helps some people out 🤙
@@ElijahNMitchell Correct except for the Super Hornet platform (which is why it gets the M as its destinction to signify the difference). The Super Hornet in lore was developed under special acceptance by the UEE due to them not being able to protect all there colonies. The Super Hornet platform is supposed to match the F7A in armour & firepower. The reason a second seat is in the Super Hornet is due to Anvil being forced to widen the body for flight preformance purposes (keep in mind, normally in the world of manufacturing, companies are typically fighting other companies for the best vessel of a specific type, in Anvils case they were fighting themselves an effectively set out to make a slight bigger & worse F7A). Due to the extra space, the second seat is originally designed as modular. Allowing for either a copilot, yes COPILOT (not just a gunner) or a space for a prisoner cell to transport live bounties (like a police cruiser).
Did you consider the fact that even this slower super hornet still out rates a hurricane, or also the fact that a hurricane currently needs two people to even slightly compete in DPS. You could have one super hornet and another person in an aurora and it would beat the fully manned hurricane. Not hating, but that's just the current state of the game, maybe it will be different in the future.

The ball turret on top is a bespoke turret with gatling guns that are a cooperation between anvil and behring. I'm also kinda sure the DPS values spviewer are pulling are wrong.
Not if you consider burst potential from 2 x S4 ballistic chainguns. And the video shows 2 x Chainguns. Which means each weapon's burst potential is probably 1100 DPS. Where as the AD4B and Revanents are 1200 dps each. And the ball turret is likely a S5 Bespoke with dual S4 weapon mounts. Either way people will replace them with CF-447's or Attrition 4's for relative acitivities. This ship's design doesn't make sense, considering it's a Fuck You slap in the face to the Hurricane.

The MkI Super Hornet and Heartseeker slave the turret to pilot when there is no co pilot or you can use it like a remote turret as a key feature of the platform. The MkII SH base model gets a 481 missile launcher with dual S3 guns on its ball turret which is new, but the Heartseeker MkII gets this wild dual gatling turret. Interesting. I hope you can also fit it like the MkI Heartseeker that swaps the ball turret with a S5 when you want to kit more for anti-ship instead of anti-fighter.
Even with a guaranteed nerf in the future, that is one badass fighter. I'm not much of a combat pilot, but need to learn. This ship is going to fit the bill nicely. Been playing with loaner Hornets for a little while now and they are comfortable to fly.
If you’re a new pvp pilot a hornet is not for you. Compared to other PvP ships the are at least twice as slow, but great firepower but huge signatures, shields are mid, so over all takes a lot more skill to pilot. You are better learning PvP with a gladius, or a Sabre first.
This is true but can be averted by running lasers with ballistics. This way the lasers strip shields quickly while the ballistics delete the enemy ship.
That ballistic damage reduction belongs to the ship's hull itself, so it's applied with no shields. If you have shields up then the shields apply before that reduction another reduction based on how much % shields you have up. That is why with a Polaris dual S6 ballistic cannon you cannot even one-shoot an aurora.
And no, that's not how that works: 100% damage hits the shield, 50% damage hits the hull when the shield goes down (Armor in a manner of speaking). The 100% vs shields does not factor in bleed through of ballistics either.
That top turret will 100% be pilot controlled when they sell it (probably during Invictus). And then 2 months later they will 100% nerf it to be controlled by the back-seater only! 😆 We all know how slimy CIG's marketing department is.
They give this broken thing triple shields but nerfed the shields of alot of fighters down to a single size 1 etc, even taking triple shields off the sabre back in the day lol.......cig can be really, really gross when they want to sell a ship
I think that the regular SH Mk II is the only one with 3 shields. This one gets more turret firepower instead. What I'm wondering is if the two ball turrets can be swapped?
Heartseeker has always been an upgunned version with top turret available to pilot without a backseater, I expect this to continue with the Mk2 version also.
This is further indication the majority of new funding is coming from old backers. So COG raises new funds by making old ships obsolete before the game even releases. This is not a good funding path. Has me worried for the project.
I like this. It promotes more teamwork. Assuming the pilot cant control all guns at once, then this is only better than f7a when you have a gunner in the turret. That is a good thing. F7a should not be stomping multi crew ships. It should only be better than other single seat ships.
I wouldn't say only be better but at least comparable in its role to other mediums. Because if it outclassed everything else then we have a meta fighter and that is boring. I hate seeing everyone fly the same thing just be meta min/maxing.
Ok, me as a Orginal F7C-M concept owner, I need the MK2 on my fleet! The Turret would be very nice if this Hornet will be nimble as the others, but you only could take the full power with a gunner. DPS is the only side, but I assume the project speed is very low, thus you cannot use this huge DPS in PVP if you are in a dogfight. However EHRT will be easier together in that beast
The regular F7-CM looks like it's set up for big anti-fighter swarm battles (more shields and more light guns/missiles). The Heartseeker looks like it's optimized more for taking on larger targets (though still decent in a dogfight).
Right, I FULLY expect this to get nerfed ASAP. That being said, I really want one but do I really want to spend that much for essentially a cool paint job? (Sigh, yes, yes I would. Damn you CIG.)
Every one else talking about the guns and dps me wow that's the best looking fighter I've ever seen I need it the second best behind heart seeker is my ghost MK2
I have to mention this because you failed to calculate that there is a 50%+ dmg drop for all ballistics, so those numbers are not the real dps numbers against ships. qill this ship be nerfed? YES it looks too good to be true compared to even other hornets rn. but you over exaggerated the actual power in the video making it look like a god killer. its not, ballistics are terrible rn. despite that it still has a bit more dps than all other hornets even with 50%+ dmg drop. please mention things like these in your videos as this is very misleading and can cause unwanted drama
I've been waiting for the new Heartseeker and putting money aside... and now wow... it looks so good... ok dps will probably lose it again soon, but it's a beauty coming into my hangar.
A size 3 gatling with over 1000 sustained DPS? If they release it like this everyone will be duping the weapon and put it on everything as it does more damage than size 4 weapons. Could be Just wrong data and the dps for the whole turret is counted for each weapon. But evil tongues could say CIG will release it that way just to sell a ton of those ships and nerf it in the next patch to bring them inline with other weapons. That turret being a remote turret will be getting interesting once we can get blades.
The regular super hornet mk1 and heartseeker mk1 and regular mk2 allow for pilot to use guns in the absence of a gunner. Doubt they would change that with the new heartseeker mk2, if they did it would lead to people melting the ship and reduced sells of the ship losing cig money.
That is the amount of DPS a specialized Heavy shouldn't probably even have (apart fron the starfighter e.g.), the values getting pulled by the website are probably trash and they will nerf it to the ground. What we need is heavy fighters with heavy firepower and medium fighters with medium firepower
either wrong numbers or it is very muched planed to be nerfed, would be a good two seater, and if the top is ganna be even close to what it showes, i would say its for second pilot only, main pilot should not have that much firepower
That DPS number really doesn't mean anything. In the current balancing, almost all ships have a ballistic weapon damage reduction. Most ships you will face in combat are between 50% to 58% reduction. Also, if their shields are up, that damage is reduced by another 33%. That is without mentioning the velocity of the bullets coming off that turret. Their speed will make it basically unusable against anything fighter sized. That said, I do love the look. I've always been a sucker for the MK2, and the paint looks amazing as well. I hope they refresh the wildfire livery as well!
So it’s simply guys, they will reduce the dmg and the ammo cap of the guns. The ship will 100% stay the same as It would make no sense to remove the turret option for the pilot. All super hornets have all be then same. Speaking as a current heartseeker owner. Also don’t forget the armor rework & ballistic re work. The game ship guns balance is far from over & missing so much. Good luck out in the verse and happy to see any future heartseeker pilots. Looks like I’m melting the old one and getting the new one
CIG has lost its base trust, sure this ship will have some sales. However, the majority of us will not believe or trust that this ship won't get a nerf or some sort of change making it totally different than what we paid for. Sad.
Thx, bud I my personal opinion, any powerful vessel that will be announced especially the combat vessels, they all will be nerfed as hell . Of course for just balancing reasons only. For sure mostly they all look stunning and shows power is just the look and design. No doubt development are all true artists, but in performance and combat power they love to nerfed any powerful vessel as soon the sales are over. That's for sure and we all know it. It's all for the money. But nevertheless, it's fun to play with and it's worth to test it. And I'm looking forward to play with it in the PTU/PU if it's possible of course.. And a bit more bug free might be great, right. This top turret of this F7C-M Super Hornet Mk2 Heartseeker looks awesome, but it would be better to use it without a second pilot in the vessel. This reminds my on the Scorpius with an gunner in the turret. Awesome design, great combat power. It "was"powerful in the beginning and atm you're not hearing anything of it anymore. Since 2012 many are able to name a lot vessels that where be super combat vessels in the past, right. Well i doMany purchased, and many trashed, melted, sold, upgraded... So yes, I'm just saying...
What's wild is that this is just the civilian model (F7C, emphasis on the C). Imagine another community event that lets us earn another F7A upgrade and apply it to this...
In this state of the leaks, am I the only crazy one who believes that if they release the F7C-M Super Hornet mkII like this, they would have to improve all the heavy ships (hurricane, scorpius, f8c, vanguard)??
The MK I Heart Seeker is one of my favorites. I will probably get the MK II just to have a matching set of Heart Seeker fighters. Did you ever try the Mk I version of the Heart Seeker?
@@infinitespace239 Thank you for replying - I was curious because the Mk I Heart Seeker (you can see on erkul) had a single large laser cannon in its center area whereas the new MK II version has two smaller ballistic guns. Interestingly, they both have the same paint/decals. If you ever want to fly it let me know.
Ofc they will nerf it, but it will remain very powerful. I’ll likely will pledge this ship anyway, as I kinda missed out on the Mk2 F7A upgrade. Besides that, I really like the Heartseeker paint… Must have my precious…. 😂 Cheers Kornelius, I’m sure you will get this ship too! o7
Well I’ve been waiting for the heartseeker version for awhile. Also I don’t really mind if it is gonna get nerfed . If they ever reach 1.0 every ship, weapon, and stat is gonna get rebalanced anyway. I never expect a ship to maintain its current state.
@@biolazer I flew only a super hornet from 3.15 to 3.23 and my turret guns always always fired with my wings and nose when I flew solo. So I have no idea why you would go into remote turret mode as the pilot. When someone sat in the rear seat the guns would disappear from my screen and slave to them.
The MkI Super Hornet was the same but weaker agility especially against the MkIIs. The MkII SH is also slower than the F7A and F7C but not as badly gapped. An F7A pro will pass this up but F7C pilots might want to take a look.
@@eltreum1 the Super Mk. 1 still had smaller weapons and missiles than the F7A Mk.1. The other F7C Mk.2 versions compare the same against the F7A Mk 2, with smaller weapons and missiles. This new Super Mk.2 (which is still an F7C) is the outlier
Bait and switching like this shouldn’t be tolerated, some legal intervention is warranted here. We need closer analysis of what products are being sold digitally, especially for the absurd prices CIG pulls for their ships. While this is a complicated thing to do, it’s very clear it’s being done deliberately at this point. Bait, switch, make people keep shuffling around and throwing cash at CIG for years with this method.
Legal intervention? Lol what? What needs to happen is people stop buying these types of ships. But they won't and I won't advocate for telling grown adults what they can and can't do with their money. So nothing will change just a big revolving door.
The MK 1 Heartseeker always goes on sale during Valentine's Day / Coramor sale. I'd expect this to do the same; perhaps with a "last chance" sale of the MK 1 Heartseeker as well.
Well, if they, at any time, make it a need for a 2nd Person to "man" the turret I hope they are ready to implement blades or NPCs for our ships. I confess my believes: as this is a military style vehicle it's at the amount of Damage Output I consider as what should be "average" for a ship that only has one job. Fly in, destroy, repeat. And to be honest there would be no logical reason to insist a second human life if tech can make it all work from a single pilot. It would be a waste of time, power, ressources and human lives. Where I would understand it on the other hand: if a second pilot is a missile-operator. But for boardcanons? No, that makes no logical sense to me. It never has. Give the Missile-Mode and all that's needed for it's usage to a Co-Pilot and leave the pure guns for the pilot. Co-Pilots are for Rockets, ECM/ECCM and other Countermeasures, Navigating and maybe communication. Just my 2 cents as a man from the military.
The artists don't work on server tech. Doing this keeps the artists employed with something productive while the network engineers do their thing (without having to lay off all of the artists).
i have always said no to turret guns that are like a pair of size 2 or 3s BORING!!!! if you want me in a turret its gotta be quad size 4s or a pair of size 5s to think it is now worth it to me to multi crew.... when i can bring a second solo ship with 4 size 3 or 4s you must not ask me to hop in a pair of 2 size 3s and if ship dies so does 2 players!!! this ship makes sense!!! with a copilot this hornet can converge on ships giving chase while the pilot seeking to recover shields and its the best guns able to defend a defensive posture??? yes please this should be the standard not the exception!!!! when all ships go though another gold standard this should be more common.
Keep in mind that the regular SH Mk II also has 8 size 1 missiles in it's turret. Being able to shoot missiles (or even just cause the enemy to veer off due to lock-on warnings) at a target that's chasing you sounds *very* useful in a big dogfight!
remote mode for the top turret is a stupid idea? what is the point of that? yet the ion cant kill shit? and why does a light fighter get this much dps?
It's actually on the heavy end of the medium fighters, not a light fighter like the Gladius or Arrow. That being said, they need to give the F8 bigger guns and fix both of the Aries' gameplay.
@randlebrowne2048 yea i noticed it's a medium fighter. Inferno is in a decent place.. even though overheat on gattling.. ion would be fine if it was brought back to launch dmg.
Why only 8 missiles on the new F7 series ships? If you are going to re-introduce these ships, why not increase their capacities as well? I don't understand your love for Attritions. They look like two metal 2x4's sticking out of your ship. Ugliest guns in the game, bar none.

It was listed on erkul as s4, it's also bespoke so it may very well not work with any other ship
I thin it is bespoke. o7
Also the spread is higher than most weapons, that said it will definitely be tuned down, this looks like some release damage lol.
It's bespoke (at least to it's turret). What I wonder is if the ball turrets on both of the new Super Hornets are swappable?
It’s gonna get nerfed as soon as the sale ends. Heard from a friend on the dev team that this will not be the last sale of a temporary meta.
This is insane! I have multiple friends that have not gotten into 4.0 once because the state of game. But you know let’s release another ship…
power creep is how they sell, Probably be transferrable to your hornet MK 2', but not purchasable in store. Sandy's back in charge of marketing lol
Even if they nerf it I still want it. Especially if the pilot can fire all the guns. I will upgrade my Heartseeker MK1.
I will get the CCU too :D we are the problem bro, we should not bu yanything anymore, CIG is making money on our bums
Imo the heartseeker MK1 looks 10x better
The guns were put there to get you to buy it... they will be nerfed as soon as sales are finished.
I know, I don't care while I have the melt button. Have fun, melt 🫠
If it will be sold like that: Either power creep or cash grab + nerf. Not sure which is worse.
either wrong numbers or it is very muched planed to be nerfed, would be a good two seater, and if the top is ganna be even close to what it showes, i would say its for second pilot only, main pilot should not have that much firepower
People will cry endlessly because of this ship. If CIG nerf, they will complain. If they didn't, people would complain too. My popcorn is ready!
Sad.
On the normal super hornet mk2 you can change turret weapons and put full laser loadout.
Thanks but we want the Perseus^^
Man I want it sooooo bad 😂❤
Supposedly the Perseus has already gone through both whitebox and greybox development phases. I'm guessing we'll probably get it during Invictus.
@randlebrowne2048 would be amazing
Thx, bud
I my personal opinion, any powerful vessel that will be announced especially the combat vessels, they all will be nerfed as hell .
Thaaam ☺️
Nonono F8A first
Nerfs obviusly. But they finally made good looking custom guns. I will probably pick one up for fun until i melt it.
I think I tried it once or twice but a long time ago in 3.17
@@infinitespace239 Thank you for replying - I was curious because the Mk I Heart Seeker (you can see on erkul) had a single large laser cannon in its center area whereas the new MK II version has two smaller ballistic guns.
😂 Cheers Kornelius, I’m sure you will get this ship too! o7
My ghost mk2 is ready to become Heartseaker o7 🥂
Well I’ve been waiting for the heartseeker version for awhile. Also I don’t really mind if it is gonna get nerfed . If they ever reach 1.0 every ship, weapon, and stat is gonna get rebalanced anyway. I never expect a ship to maintain its current state.
Im guessing the lower turret is going to get nerfed to size 2, I think it just uses the f7a turret rn so that might become f7c as it should IMO
So that’s the new Marketing strategy 😂😂
Same as the old one. Nothing new here except a better looking and armed Heartseeker.
@@Hylanvahrbetter armed? Yes. Better looking? NOPE, the old Heartseeker is sick asf, looks way cooler imo
How do they calculate dps at shipviewer?
To me, 2 x 844 + 582 + 2.265 does not equal to 7.312. It's more like 4.535
The damage numbers on that turret don’t seem right. I’m feeling like the pilot will have full control but the dps will change
If this is anything like the original super hornet that turrets on the top is for the co-piolet
Original super hornet turret slaved to pilot when not used by copilot, so you get all guns all the time probably
@jrspringston yeah but going from turret mode and flying the ship is not a good thing unless your doing some none moving target shooting
I can smell the bait and switch from systems away lol.....nah I am good ;)
I use the same money from old ships, melt, buy new have fun until nerf, melt again ❤️
@@infinitespace239 I haven't put new money into the game for around 5 years.
A Civil Hornet with more Firepower than a Military Hornet? Seems something is wrong here....
The other F7C Mk.2 versions compare the same against the F7A Mk
2, with smaller weapons and missiles.
This new Super Mk.2 (which is still an F7C) is the outlier
How .uch?
If they don’t slave it before release it will piss a lot of people off when they do.
Lol seems you missed the mk1 version of this that the community got to buy this will be for sale come Valentines day watch!!!
Any guesses on starting price? Scared it'll get nerfed tbh
Ohhhh its a 2 seater... Cool.
CIG scraping the bottom of the barrel
Weapons or speed will be scaled down soon after sales finishes. So be excited about any new ship is pointless.
These things will be nerfed into the ground after the sale is over. But until then...... It'll be fun!!!
i will buy it immediately
I dont understand how it gets room for a extra sheils extra seat over the F7A.... Which should be better.
i like it, the longer cockpit looks weird lol but i like it, and yes CIG will nerf into the ground as usual
I wonder what the F8C Super Lightning mk 2 will be like?
Hopefully bigger guns on it.
So nothing will change just a big revolving door.
first "king of duping" now "king of leak videos" , if you want to be taken seriously this isnt the way.
Very proud to be king. Thank you. This is the way . o7
come on feb 14th, must get one!
Man it looks so nice I might get one, when will they be released
In February for Valentine's Day probably
The MK 1 Heartseeker always goes on sale during Valentine's Day / Coramor sale. I'd expect this to do the same; perhaps with a "last chance" sale of the MK 1 Heartseeker as well.
@@randlebrowne2048 thanks for the info I'ma keep a eye out for both heartseekers
A COOL UNIQUE GUN??!!
When and how will this ship be sold?
Probably on Valentine's Day. o7
@@infinitespace239 That would make sense. Thnx o7
What's the discord you use to find these leaks?
Pipeline
Do we have any idea when this will release?
I am thinking for Valentine's Day, but we will see.
@@infinitespace239 damn fast response! But hopefully sooner! There showing off all these amazing ships and I just want to get my hands on them!
Sick
Heatseeker was my favourite for years but left her behind. These stats look like a cash grab then nerf hammer. Looks great though but not getting me.
Just my 2 cents as a man from the military.
they really need to stop all production of literally everything but getting the game to fucking work
The artists don't work on server tech. Doing this keeps the artists employed with something productive while the network engineers do their thing (without having to lay off all of the artists).
I’m sorry, this is ridiculous.
As it is, all the facerollers in the community main hornets.
It’s going to be fucking Hornet Citizen after this…
yea, that will not happen. it is not gonna hold at all.
talk about power creep. this thing definatley cant be released like this. its just tooo op. makes a scorp look like utter trash now
i have always said no to turret guns that are like a pair of size 2 or 3s BORING!!!! if you want me in a turret its gotta be quad size 4s or a pair of size 5s to think it is now worth it to me to multi crew.... when i can bring a second solo ship with 4 size 3 or 4s you must not ask me to hop in a pair of 2 size 3s and if ship dies so does 2 players!!!
this ship makes sense!!! with a copilot this hornet can converge on ships giving chase while the pilot seeking to recover shields and its the best guns able to defend a defensive posture??? yes please
this should be the standard not the exception!!!! when all ships go though another gold standard this should be more common.
Keep in mind that the regular SH Mk II also has 8 size 1 missiles in it's turret. Being able to shoot missiles (or even just cause the enemy to veer off due to lock-on warnings) at a target that's chasing you sounds *very* useful in a big dogfight!
It will be nerfed very quickly.
If you're new don't buy star citizen, it's a griefers paradise that's void of content and buggy as hell..
I like how the OG Heartseeker was an all-energy loadout and the MKII is an all-ballistic loadout.
remote mode for the top turret is a stupid idea? what is the point of that? yet the ion cant kill shit? and why does a light fighter get this much dps?
Probably because that seems to be the only fighters people fly. I hardly ever see anything larger than medium. Rarely see any heavies besides the F8C.
@Clearwood_ because they are cheaper with more damage...
That looks sexy!
whats next? a F7A Super Hornet Mk2?
Dont waste your money they will nerf it and you know it will happen. Send CIG a message and do not buy anything from them
We all know that, most of us just melt old ships and get new o7
I can smell a big Nerf - LOL - it is the usual story make them really good and have us buy it just to see it nerfed
