- Enjoy one of the biggest Italian car events of the year, celebrating 30 years of Auto Italia at Brooklands. With a vast display of stunning and often rare cars cars from Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Maserati and many other it’s a show all Italian car fans shouldn’t miss!
Great video, some cars I've never seen or heard of. Thanks for posting.
The Lancia Gammas had a 2.5 litre flat four, I'm old enough to remember when they were launched.
The Italians got a 2 litre version too that was available due to Italian tax brackets.
The Alfa Six was sold in the UK but very few were sold. The UK cars had quad headlights.
Thanks for the tour. 👍🏼
Got to hand it to the Italians. They know how to design cars that looked good. If you are going to have a one nation classic car event then it has to be Italian. However when it comes to new (ISH) cars, with the exception of the ubiquitous Fiat 500 there are hardly any Italian cars on the UK roads. Why is that ?
Some brilliant brands and ingenious engineering but now part of the sprawling Stellantis empire and Peugeot/Citroen platforms… such a pity
Nice video, great cars, but in today's Britian i wouldn't touch classic car oenership
For sure it’s getting more difficult and expensive.
Couldn't make it there but this more than makes up for it. Very good informative narration as well.
Thanks, much appreciated!
Hi Simon, thanks for showing my Pandas, I can’t claim ownership of the silver Trekking however, that little beauty belongs to a friend of mine.
The van looked splendid!
Ah thanks. Not bad considering it has been upside down at one point in its life.
@13Pandam 😳
Yes, about a year ago. I’d built it for a friend, one night he jumped out in a hurry and hadn’t put the handbrake on. It ended up rolling down a hill, hitting a pavement and tipping onto its roof rack. I bought it back from him six months ago, dents and all. I’m not too concerned about the dents, they tell a story.
I just got my 1988 Alfa '75' Milano, rare Automatic. I'm in the states, back from being in the shop for 2 months. $3500 for all new brakes! Some beautiful cars there. Love your car show videos!
Do you think it's stunning, or is it stunning or maybe just stunning.
All three!
Kinda sad to see how far Fiat, Lancia and Alfa have fallen.
growing up a new Fiat was a worldwide event...Hopefully Stellantis has plans ..otherwise it's curtains.
Let’s hope so, new Lancia Y10 replacement looks cool.
@@Lot76CARS Check out the Lancia Omicron 3 deck bus of the 1930's...nothing to do with Covid...😀
Was there today as well, fantastic show!
did u run into furious driving of richard he was suposed to be there?
Actually I didn’t bump into anyone else filming today strangely…
@@Lot76CARS o thats odd as he was meant to have gone there as he said in one of his vids?
Thanks for sharing your day, always love your videos, great car knowledge 👌
Fiat TC = Twin Cam
Thanks, I’ll remember that👍
I miss attending Italian car events, the owners are somehow different to those of other cars very committed and turn out in force with some really great cars.
The Bora is one of my all time favourite cars.
I can shed some light on the grey Abarth.
It's owned by a friend and I featured the car and interviewed it's owner Dave a few years ago when he first got the car.
There was a one make racing series which if I recall had 49 asseto Corsa models made. But if they were not rare enough two of these wide bodied cars were built and this particular one was converted for road use.
I love some of the classic coach built Italian cars.
My uncle had a red Alfa 146 just like the one in this video. Saddle he tried to cross a Ford and it never ran again.
Funny you mention FOTU and the Fiat Marea as I recall the estate version (known as the Weekend) attended a previous event.
Another top video Simon.
Thanks Mark, it was a good event today and thankfully the weather held. I love the real rarities that sometimes get wheeled out for these events. Thanks for clarifying the 49 asseto story, no wonder it looked so well prepared!
Always enjoy watching your videos and all the information you give on the cars.
Many thanks for watching!
brill vid
Many thanks, it was a cracking event and with the good weather today it was perfect for filming.
@@Lot76CARS that it was, myself did the eastbourne car event east sussex
Hi 👋 im viewing from New Zealand. Italian cars weren't terribly common on our roads here. We assembled Fiats here in the 1960s/ 70s. I saw a 1970s Lancia Beta saloon parked in a driveway near where I live the other day. Stunning cars shown on display, some would be very rare and of value today. From Carl.
Thanks Carl, I understand from Hubnuts visit to NZ a few years ago you have a lot of classic survivors down there but probably more British and Japanese rarities? The Betas are rare here after the rust problems and terrible publicity about it… I seldom see them.
@@Lot76CARS Thanks for your reply. I have viewed Hubnuts channel. He drives an Australian Ford. We have plenty of Australian cars here. Yes Japanese cars flooded our car market in the from the late 1960s I remember, and sold well , especially Toyotas. The Lancia Beta I saw was a very rare sight. It caught my eye as I was walking past . It was silver in colour and in good condition for its age. From Carl.
Stratos or is it a Hawk? Really? You walk straight past because you can't work out whether it's the real deal or a homage? That was disappointing.
More likely a Hawk than a Stratos I suspect but they are well built and convincing.
@@Lot76CARSor a Lister Bell?
@kurtbarker3303 good point, how many Stratos evocations can there be?🤷♂️
Great video 👏 what a fab day it's a most ...
