I don’t think you mentioned the fact that instacart can only be done 1 order at a time, if that’s still done, and the fact that there are more orders where you’re doing 2 or 3 orders at the same time for instacart at once and still getting paid as of its 1 order.
At least in my area, what I like about Shipt are the bonuses. We had one last week: complete 5 deliveries on time and no promos for a $100 bonus. I took the smaller orders that have less than 10 items, so I'm adding an extra $2+ per item at the minimum. In essence, with the delivery and bonus, I made $150+ in about 3 hours of work on those orders.

Half the people don’t even tip on Shipt. It’s just not worth it but when they do tip it’s usually 10-20$ while instacart is avg like 5$ sometimes 2$ haha I just like knowing the money before I take it. People get there stuff then just ignore a tip.
I liked the video, but for me the amount of miles I have to drive matter the most. Especially since this is where a lot of the time is spent. I really would have liked to see driving distance added into the comparison. I'm left still not knowing which is better because of this.
Yahaira, I think the promos, especially near the end of each day, and the bonuses is what makes Shipt better. The best way to determine is to do both, search out all the batches for both sides, then make your decision. Personally, I make much better money with the food delivery apps.
To get orders for shipt you need to be on the schedule in some / most markets open metro is what wasn’t picked up from people on the schedule or someone dropped the order

I think you should make another video, because you forgot to mention that instacart payment includes tip where Shipt doesn't. Example you could have instacart say $17 for a delivery ($12 instacart + $5 tip). Where Shipt is just $17 for the order not including the tip you could or couldn't get. I think that is important.

Have you filed your taxes yet? Not a pretty picture. I made them over 16,000 and paid over 5,000 in taxes this year. My refund sucked. It’s good when you’re getting the money but horrible at tax time.

I've worked for DD, UberE & Postmates. DD pays more than all in my neck of the woods. Amazon, Instacart & Shipt have been busy in this pandemic hiring. I thank the good Lord Shipt recently responded. So try all essential delivery apps.
This video did not mention with instacart. You pay will get knock down if items are out of stock. Customers can also decrease your tips without reasons, thus lowering your pay. I wonder if shipt do the same ?
Never had a customer reduce a tip and see tips increased in about 20% of orders. Yes you will lose some money if you refund an item but you should only refund when asked and replacing with a higher priced item will bump your pay. The most important thing to increased tips is Communication.
I hear people complain about customers reducing tips all the time .. it has never happened to me and I've done over 1000 batches (yes I go back later and check). People that get "tip baited" likely just do a crap job or shop in the ghetto areas... bad idea. If you're not going to give it your all at a job don't waste your time. Btw my tips do end up INCREASED at least once a day on avg after a batch is done .. because I keep it 💯
Orders go down in pay because a customer will choose a percentage for the tip, if the total order goes down, the tip auto corrects, just as well if it goes up, the tip will go up.
I tell u a story I did a delivery for instacart and after I finesh I check how much I make and I saw the customer take 2.00 off my tip I went back to the door and asked her why she did that and she said she didn't do anything she new to the app and I did a good job message instacart now and the give me back my 2.00 I think the steeling the tip
Loved Shipt. But it was to stressful here in SD. First place in 24 years I was fired from. All because I had a bad day (domino effect) went on vacation for a graduation and came back to low ratings (from 1 day). Loved it and worked for me, but the F'd me big time. Everyone else got retraining, but not me. Now looking for something like shipt, but now as stressful. Also, to many try to get you fired with missing items that they clearly got
Shipt V3 pay model is bad. I stopped doing Shipt in October 2020. Instacart allows more freedom, along with larger volume since they have a bigger customer base. The only way to make any money on Shipt is by doing promo orders and Shipt hates when you do that. Instacart allows you to cash out daily. Shipt pays weekly so basically one week behind. The Shipt rating system is also unfair to the shopper with zero transparency. On Instacart you get to see how many stars you where rated. Honestly, the best gig apps are food delivery. You go to the restaurant pick up the order and deliver it for a fee.
I was averaging $1400 a week with instacart working roughly 45 hours a week. Great weeks I was making $1700+ working similar hours. My deliveries were usually no more than 5-7 minutes from the store so I got them to the destination pretty quick but the real trick is get your main stores schematics down and don’t follow the list of items in the order it was set. Prior to entering the store hit start shopping as your heading towards the entrance then scan your list because sometimes a random bell pepper will be at the bottom of the list instead of right up there with produce. But as I said before scan PRIOR to entering the store that way your not going back and forth in the store my shopping time for a 40 item order as long as no deli counter or meat counter item was involved was literally 7 minutes. I would literally start on one side and just sweep through consistently scanning to make sure I’m not leaving nothing behind. It was great while it lasted but unfortunately I was deactivated.

First delivery I had taken a picture for confirmation second order I gave directly to the customer who informed me that the contents in the bag wasn’t what he ordered I apologized for the inconvenience and told him he can just keep the groceries and to let instacart know that the delivery was swapped around. Next morning as I’m heading out to start my shift literally 5 minutes in and my account goes into an inactive mode screen and says my background check is pending. I called instacart and they stated that both customers said they didn’t receive anything and I explained to the tier 3 manager and he said they would investigate and would reach out to me when they cleared it all up. Smh I honestly do believe the deactivation was because of the 2 customers who lied about me stealing their groceries. But also I had literally 5-7 referral rewards that I received ranging from 700-2000 and I still had 3-4 pending referrals that were working towards completing that 30 batches within 30 days promo. I feel like the company just didn’t like the fact that my referrals were actually following through.
Yep I was 5 star since day one, no cancelations, 💯 positive customers comments. Deactivated last week I've tried and tried to get a straight answer they can't give me one they finally said someone said I was soliciting business lmao..I've NEVER solicited customers. I had a terrible customer last week before I was deactivated so I have no doubt she made some garbage up and caused this. Such a shame instacart will listen to any customer even ones lying and get rid of their 5 star shoppers that actually took pride in their work and loved it. I averaged 700 a week with IC for about 25 hours. I'm doing Shipt now and Already have 5 stars ans 💯 on time rate but am barely getting offers. I've done 8 shops. When do you start getting more offers? I've made 152 for those 8 orders and they were a lot smaller than batches I shopped for IC so that is a plus. I need to average at least 700 though hopefully after my 10th shop I'll see more batches.

I believe that where you're all from really makes a big difference! I'd be nice if ya'll would include it in your comments. I am in Central Utah (Orem, Provo) - there'r lot of big families; people don't usually to tip well here, versus up north in salt lake City. Talking to other people like in New York City and San Diego; people tip a lot better in those places because of income level and tourism. Also, I believe Uber eats would do better in touristy areas vs Instacart or shipt in those areas... Uber eats does really really bad here where Instacart and shipped actually do pretty good (hence big families 🤣).

Shipt is horrible in my area. I also hate that they make you schedule time and if you dont take one batch in each of those hours they ding you for activity and if its too low you don't get anything. They also dont show anything about a tip, and apparently people can add one a month later if they ever remember. However I did get a sweet free shirt, I'm about to just delete the app completely.
The stores that use Shipt are at least 45 minutes from me. Then the area covered goes about 50 miles in a corridor. So you look at XYZ area and if you aren’t careful you will have to drive 20 further miles for a pick up and who knows how far to make the delivery. With no guarantee if there will be another order from that area so you might have to head back at least 20 minutes to find another store. I loved Instacart. There are more stores closer to me and at least when I started I could be busy all day long. Then. The price of gas went up by $.40 cents a gallon. When I figured in the amount I had to save out for taxes, it left me with $25 a week. Plus I ended up hurting myself toting 24-packs of water up people’s stairs or driveways. So I am not doing either at the moment.

What pisses me of is the pop up message due to limited batches in your area it shows further away. Grocery store could be 30 miles away buy 30 items for eight dollars.
I do think the same that Shipt is better and allow me to shop for one custome. Which Instacart is the distance and multiple orders up to 40 items to 30 miles from the market
I can schedule the whole day on shipt and won’t see any offers unless they are like 8$. Instacart has more orders available in certain areas but most of the time you don’t see anything over 17$ unless it’s multi order. But shipt usually gets better tips in my opinion but some people don’t tip at all but I like to know what the pay is up front instead of hoping. Like one day I spent a hour and a half for 9 something and the tip was 1.67. I would’ve passed on that order.
Instacart is better because they let the customer choose if your good or not. If the customer is happy everybody's happy, even if it's a late delivery. Shipt will fire you if you have several late deliveries regardless of circumstances. Shipt also has harder batches. Shopping for clothes curtains and food. Instacart much more with just food. Instacart has more work. But don't try 2 do both. One or the other. You can't serve 2 masters.
Duck Shipt ! Shady AF. They will drop you in moments notice for " Safety Issues".. Merely for texting clients on a Third Story Stack and Pack that you might not be able to deliver if the gate takes minutes to open by following somebody sneaking in, and parking Illegally next to Red Curb Zones !
I just got shipt i been doing instacart I make pretty good money. I saw an order for shipt 42 items for 11-15 dollars does that include tip. Im not trying to do 42 items for 15 bucks
Tip is added at the end but it’s risky because some just don’t tip. I’ve done orders like that and made 12$ with no tip and it took me an hour meanwhile on IC I do that and get 25$ but if they do tip on Shipt u will prob get a 20$ tip. It’s just risky
I usually do 2-3 orders at giant eagle here in Cleveland a day . It’s one of four different apps I only do delivery only orders 🤣 not a patient shopper haha . Helps though an extra $150-250 a week from that app
I've done both and HATE Shipt. I live in Sacramento. Targets aren't exactly close to me. The closest is 20 mins away. I did an order today. 26 items for $11 and no tip. I spent more on gas and time to make so little. It was an hour to get there, shop her order and deliver. Less than minimum wage. WHAT A JOKE!

I loved Instacart. There are more stores closer to me and at least when I started I could be busy all day long. Then. The price of gas went up by $.40 cents a gallon. When I figured in the amount I had to save out for taxes, it left me with $25 a week. Plus I ended up hurting myself toting 24-packs of water up people’s stairs or driveways. So I am not doing either at the moment.

Instacart is steady in most areas and Shipt just isn’t as poppin (in my area) there’s days where I don’t get an order 3 hrs into my schedule. I stopped with Shipt but will check if there’s a promo order I can just snag
What pisses me of is the pop up message due to limited batches in your area it shows further away. Grocery store could be 30 miles away buy 30 items for eight dollars.

I do think the same that Shipt is better and allow me to shop for one custome. Which Instacart is the distance and multiple orders up to 40 items to 30 miles from the market
I can schedule the whole day on shipt and won’t see any offers unless they are like 8$. Instacart has more orders available in certain areas but most of the time you don’t see anything over 17$ unless it’s multi order. But shipt usually gets better tips in my opinion but some people don’t tip at all but I like to know what the pay is up front instead of hoping. Like one day I spent a hour and a half for 9 something and the tip was 1.67. I would’ve passed on that order.
I am disabled so how do I know if an order has a heavy item or it's going to an apartment complex that I have to walk up steps

Shipt is really weird... they say "I'm not a good match" weird I've had 5.0s with IC and all the other delivery apps
Instacart is better because they let the customer choose if your good or not. If the customer is happy everybody's happy, even if it's a late delivery. Shipt will fire you if you have several late deliveries regardless of circumstances. Shipt also has harder batches. Shopping for clothes curtains and food. Instacart much more with just food. Instacart has more work. But don't try 2 do both. One or the other. You can't serve 2 masters.

They will drop you in moments notice for " Safety Issues".. Merely for texting clients on a Third Story Stack and Pack that you might not be able to deliver if the gate takes minutes to open by following somebody sneaking in, and parking Illegally next to Red Curb Zones !
I just got shipt i been doing instacart I make pretty good money. I saw an order for shipt 42 items for 11-15 dollars does that include tip. Im not trying to do 42 items for 15 bucks
Tip is added at the end but it’s risky because some just don’t tip. I’ve done orders like that and made 12$ with no tip and it took me an hour meanwhile on IC I do that and get 25$ but if they do tip on Shipt u will prob get a 20$ tip. It’s just risky
And they'll find a way to only give you the 11, and just pray the customer tips!
I usually do 2-3 orders at giant eagle here in Cleveland a day . It’s one of four different apps I only do delivery only orders 🤣 not a patient shopper haha . Helps though an extra $150-250 a week from that app
I applied to Shipt 1st and got denied - then applied to Instacart & got approved. Don't see whats the difference? This was back in 2019

I've done both and HATE Shipt. I live in Sacramento. Targets aren't exactly close to me. The closest is 20 mins away. I did an order today. 26 items for $11 and no tip. I spent more on gas and time to make so little. It was an hour to get there, shop her order and deliver. Less than minimum wage. WHAT A JOKE!

Doordash does Walmart deliveries. In my area Walmart is slow to bring your the order and tips are nonexistent or terrible.
