Fun fact: London is a wonderful and historic city, but did you know it was home to the rare and elusive Gigantic Metal Woodpecker? This is a special video indeed for birdwatchers of various kinds.
Thanks very much, yep its certainly sad, it won't be long until CityJet do the same in favour of the Sukhoi Superjet. It was always cool seeing a 4 engined jet at small airport like LCY.
Sad to see Swiss retiring these, although CityJet are still running in to city with them.Top job mate! You're no relation to Harry "Choo Choo" Romero (famous DJ) are you?HaHa😎👍
Thanks very much! And lol no I'm not related to Harry ''Choo Choo'' Romero, the name CHOO-CHOO!!Plane was just a wacky pun I came up with to show that I like both trains and planes :)
Yep absolutely, I actually wanted to try and book a flight to Zurich on one back May but then I saw there was only one left and all the flight until now were fully booked :(
I live in Poplar and as much as I love having LCY nearby, these planes are darn noisy if you live under their flightpath when they take off towards the west. They turn right just overhead my flat and are the loudest of all the planes that use LCY.
with 25 percent lower operating costs than the RJ100 and 1000 nm more range and the only airliner capable of flying to New York non stop from London City airport
dispatchnig vomitory one year later they are still crappy and bankrupt keep floating with state help and government found, then sold to ethiad then failure again and now on sale again Lufthansa and I think airfrance made some offers but no one want that failing company because the Alitalia keep advancing crazy requests like maintain all the personnel pilots crew ground and employees every one from the tug driver to the administration board and fill the debt so nothing will change, I heard that many pilots or flight attendant are searching a gateway to others companies. Nothing changed in one year and as Italian I can assure you that nothin will change in the next 10 years, Alitalia it’s in the edge of failure till the 2000 and keeps struggling and floating with government helps without any sign of slight improvement and no one election over election has the balls to pull the plug on that failure I mean it Swiss was failing and was bought up by the Lufthansa, PanAm closed, TWA closed Easter Airlines also but Italy keeps throwing money on that announced disaster please please put the damn Alitalia out of its misery Edit due to grammar correction
My worst plane ride ever was on one of these! Didn't handle wind and rain very well! When you see a stewardess turn white with fear, that's not a good sign! Thanks for the free cocktails! (double gin and tonic)

So sad to see Swiss retiring these 4 engined regional jets.Luckily, I have a video of these at LHR.Overall very nice video!

I've always loved this plane. I'm going to go on the last cityjet RJ85 hopefully!
Same, I need to get on one to Amsterdam and Dublin while I still can
Yeah, I hope they don’t retire soon it was the best fight I’ve had on an aircraft in a while
Water salute at London City... Now that's something you don't see often lol.

Are they being replaced by CS100s?
Yes they are.
HB-IYZ is in Royal Air Philippines. I saw him stored at Clark International Airport. Someday he will operate again until he retires.
It's so sad to see these goes :(
Yep absolutely, I actually wanted to try and book a flight to Zurich on one back May but then I saw there was only one left and all the flight until now were fully booked :(

Thanks very much :)
that was a smooth landing
Except for one ..
@@UnFair_Instability yea we dont talk about that one
I really like these jets....
I do too, they are a lot of fun to spot at LCY.
Sad to see the Jumbolino go. The CS100 is nice but nothing special, whereas the RJ100 looks very unique. Nice video.
Thanks, absolutely agree with you there. The RJ100 was very unique, the CS100 is just a standard generic twin jet.
with 25 percent lower operating costs than the RJ100 and 1000 nm more range and the only airliner capable of flying to New York non stop from London City airport
They served well
Yep, absolutely.
Is the plane gonna be scraped?
Some of them have been scrapped, but a few have become cargo and charter planes
@@CHOO-CHOOPlane No it’s in the Philippines
It is stored in Clark Airport in Philippines. The plane will still operate

No problem, thank you very much for watching. And greetings to you, I do love your aviation videos :)
hey , someone's recording this on seat 1f inside the plane too *Banalisator was there*
Strangely enough, after the Concorde, this is my next favourite. All the good ones are gone or going........................ Sad.
allitalia still exists?? i thought they went bankrupt
dispatchnig vomitory yup they fly regularly in LCY
they did go Bankrupt. multiple times, they are currently in bankruptcy protection from the US weirdly, so yes they still exist.
dispatchnig vomitory one year later they are still crappy and bankrupt keep floating with state help and government found, then sold to ethiad then failure again and now on sale again Lufthansa and I think airfrance made some offers but no one want that failing company because the Alitalia keep advancing crazy requests like maintain all the personnel pilots crew ground and employees every one from the tug driver to the administration board and fill the debt so nothing will change, I heard that many pilots or flight attendant are searching a gateway to others companies. Yes. Very Sad :c
Somebody put two ge90 or ge9x's on this plane, it'll be the ultimate small long hauler in no time
It looked kind of a bird when it was very far away when it was not zoomed in yet
The is my local Airport.☺️
Farewell AVRO RJ100
HB-IYZ IS IN THE PHILIPPINES!!!!!!
You will be missed avro
Way off topic but get the sound of that diesel pile driver operating in the background.

My worst plane ride ever was on one of these! Didn't handle wind and rain very well! When you see a stewardess turn white with fear, that's not a good sign! Thanks for the free cocktails! (double gin and tonic)
