Does picking rocks from a field ever end? Maybe there are different answers from the snow belt vs the southern states? I don’t know what was worse, walking the field picking rocks on a hot sunny no breeze June day, or stacking hay up in an old wooden barn in the same weather. Having some big fans moving fresh air through the barn would have been considerate but my dad was too cheap to think of doing that.
How are you making sure the heavier minerals like calcium are moved up to the surface? Do you think the VT moves up enough dirt to do that? Just wondering trying to implement min till on my farm. Want to add some good tillage equipment but only can afford 1 right now.
Cmon up you’ve never seen rocky ground apperantly😂 as you’re still in your seat and no sparks shooting out of the discs . We have miles of hand dug underground stone ditches and records in the farm diaries of the men building the stone walls here on the glacial deposits next to Lake Ontario. My father says we just broadcast corn seed and let it settle through the rocks to grow not planting 😂 My grandmother said the devil untied his apron strings and let all the rocks fall on our farm. Grumpy farmer is 15 miles away in the drumlins there is a huge difference in soil types by deposits here. The state took lots of stone piles for fill in roads , trestles , etc

How mutch is a rock pickink machine new or used in your area
You need to watch Larson Farms .They farm some rocky ground along with wet and muddy ground
