15:55 She is the woman who took care of Thorfinn in the first season when he was injured, in the episode where he was a spy in a village to help Askellad. At the end of the episode we see her watching Thorfinn kill a warrior with a savage expression, and this causes her to break down psychologically to the point of crying.
In the episode 6, first season.

I really love the importance of insects and small animals in this chapter, they're the perfect reflect of Thorfinn and Einar cause they're insignificant, small and fragile, so easy to miss for humans and yet they prevail and keep living in this world and they are important, so much that Canute doesn't stomp the cricket in the end because they have value, even if they think they not.

At first I thought this second season was slow but the emotions and character development is amazing! One of my favorite shows

It is so popular that it created a meme on Instagram and people that hate on it does not care about the storytelling.

4:20 scene is basically a hint on the answer on one the questions that you've raised last episode. About if Thorfin really wants to die why didn't he just killed himself. Thats why its so good

It's season 2 because of season 1. I think that people who watch the show will have an emotional connection to season 2 because they know Truffin from season 1.

I think vinland saga is not for everybody even though it is an extremely well written story.
People who gravitate towards storytelling, character development, complex themes are more likely to love and enjoy vinland saga.
However there are people who watch anime simply for action.
Vinland saga has action but it also does not shy away from discarding it. And there were people who left season 2 because it "does not contain action" or "got boring".
So even though it ranks really high for me as a story, on recommendations scale i will only tell those people about this show who i do think will end up loving it.

You haven't seen anything of this story yet, this second season is just a piece of something bigger, the tip of the iceberg. I'm waiting for at least an announcement of a third season.

Thorfinn is already probably becoming more famous than Thors who was just a good warrior... Thorfinn defeated Thorkell, the greatest warrior in Nothern Europe, he cut the face of the king... that's something. And the legend will just keep growing. But here we're talking about very common names... so they wouldn't identify him to his deeds, not when he's a slave.
