They'd NEVER allow that. A Christian? A righteous Christian? On television? Played by a straight white male who isn't Jewish? Never in a million years mate.
I'm a Catholic too, so you know Lagertha must be hot as fuck in bed if this fuckin guy is walkin up in Church and slaughtering the new Bishop on the Altar lol. Some sacrilegious shit right there boy. But hey she's hot so my man had to do what he had to do.
10:20 there was no more fighting when the Bishop was captured. That means he was literally the last one fighting and they had to completely surround him to capture him. Against hundreds of enemies. That’s insane 🥴💪💪
Oh now this is how you pray to saints and martyrs ,I'm glad I hope England realizes the preciousness of that faith and what it had suffered for it ⚜️🇫🇷⚜️
Ragnar, Floki, Athelstan, Heahmund, Lagertha, Bjorn, & Ivar… such an amazing list of characters and thats not even mentioning Ubbe, Alfred, Rollo, and more that i just dont wanna type right now 😂. Such a damn good show!
The Eagle Of Christ I called him! The guy is... glorious in battle, excellent in swordsmanship, pious in his soul, proud at heart! Hail Bishop Heahmund Of Sherborne!
last scene at 14:30 is interesting, the way he kills the priest (committing cardinal sin in a house of god) and messes up his eye almost makes the priest seem like a shade of Odin. Might have some deeper roots there. Almost like Odin successfully infiltrated a Catholic church.
I believe you are overthinking it, friend. He killed the priest after being stricken by him first, and the priest was a hypocrite as well. And while Heathmond was also a sinful man, he knew this and worked towards doing the right thing, which is more than many others can claim. And besides, this isn’t the first example of this: Athelstan temporarily became a follower of the Norse gods (kinda) before coming back fully into The Faith.
Your nuts! So the actors player Ragnar, his sons, his brother , the priest, floki, Rollo, and that's not mentioning the absolutely amazing female characters, I can't spell very good so spell check won't allow me to type my versons of their names spelling lol, but the female characters were mind blowing awesome!
@donalddade5643 Lmfao, I didn't even get what you meant at first lol. Don't get me wrong, after Ragnar died, I wasn't as big a fan as before , but there were lots of great actors and actresses that got to little air time in the seasons after, as good as he is, it wasn't that he was to good for the show, it was the writers tool the wrong direction with many of the characters, pushing to hard to make who they wanted to be in the spotlight rather then who really shined in it. Bjorn was under used, as fun as the character of ivar was, he was pushed to hard, lagatha was far under used, as was most of the female vikings from the first few seasons. They kept the focus in one area to long, and for that , he definitely carried those parts , but id perfer to think the show was to good for the writers they started using after ragnars death.
There's a season for everything ...we Catholics wher great warriors the templars are better than sammari....it's just god's army England/France fell into a barbaric war ,nothing was the same ...oh I miss this
As a Catholic, what the bishop did IS considered sacrilege. It is one thing to execute a traitorous priest. But you must never do this within the sacred wall of a church. It is holy ground, and exempt from weapons. (Supposed to be at least). Because "offiing" is considered vengeance, the bishop committed an act of said vengeance within holy ground. "Vengeance is thine said the Lord" and the good bishop was a bit bloodthirsty. Not that he wasn't a fantastic actor in Vikings because he is. Also? For a bit of "selfish decadence?" Might I suggest an earlier movie with JRM in it? It's called From Paris with love. Over the top, silly, and goofy. But a selfish decadence. I highly recommend it for that premise alone.
My white family just disowned me for linking you! Ethnic slav Graham Page Tran. Wow. I saved my sister's life and she just white powered me! This is truly crazy here!
This Bishop needs his own show!

U GOT A NICE CAT !!!!
He had his own show co staring Natalie Dormer 😉
Especially because that armor, specifically his soldiers helmets, actually historical, somewhat at least.
Best character in the show. His back was hurting from carrying the season.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The only man Ivar ever truly respected (besides Ragnar)
Yes, Ivar respected him because he truly was not afraid.
What about Floki?
And Bjorn
The best character in the entire show... as a catholic I greatly appreciated him

Him giving Mass in Latin was awesome 😎
Every Catholic man should strive to be like him.

My man max leveled his paladin stats.
Sinner tirelessly striving for sainthood. A true hero, and excellent example for men.
I can't stand Ivar but stopping the battle to give Heahmund his own horse is some Barristan Selmy next-level chivalry extra shit.

Except the show ignored bjorn, killed him off in battle, that in real life died of old age...great series but man
Defender of the weak! Purifier of the wicked! Wielder of Excalibur!
Bishop rest in peace.
Excalibur?.. I'm missing something.
Great edit man, deserves more views
Jonathan ryes Meyers is such a fabulous actor
11:24 best conversion in the whole show.
Literally one of my favourite characters
Bishop Heahmund was such a great character in the show, and played so well. He’s in some of my favorite episodes.
Really good editing
Thanks I work hard for it
i hope you enjoy it i put a lot of effort into making it
i did, thank you.
Yes thx

Hail Bishop Heahmund Of Sherborne!
His strikes with the blade are so damn clean though...
He played an amazing Henry the VIII in the Tudor’s as well.
Am I the only one that was distracted by this dude's 21st century haircut everytime he was on screen?
Na, was very weird and out of place.
Based and templar pilled. He, Eckbert, and Lagertha were my favorite characters.

Self defence. The other priest struck first. ;-)
Nice work. Thanks my dude
The scene where he kills the hypocrite was so badass 🫣 justice of the lord😅
What a amazing character, should be an inspiration to all Christians. Especially this day and age.
JRM was too good for this series. He stood out like a sore thumb; twice as intense as everyone else.
